Late last week, we discovered that we had a leak from our irrigation system and turned off the system but there was so much water in the soil that it was still draining off into a neighbor's yard and we couldn't be sure that we had done enough. We called San Diego Leak Detection over the weekend hoping to leave a message so we would get their attention early Monday morning. I was surprised that the owner, Derrel, answer the call, listened to my tale of woe and said he would come the next morning -- today -- to check out the problem. He arrived here exactly when he said he would, walked the entire property with me, checking all the valves, so that we were able to come to some conclusions. Because we were unable to close several gate valves, there is still work to be done to fully address the problem. Darrel recommended an irrigation company we called immediately to start repairs. It was a very successful experience and Darrel even took time to check everything in the house as well to make sure we weren't having problems there, too. It was outside the scope of our original call and the obvious problems so I really appreciated the extra effort. I highly recommend him.

What a great guy! Over the phone, he patiently talked me through isolating the source of the leak problem that had tripled my water bill. Because no site visit was needed (I now can fix the problem without further assistance), I offered to pay him for the time he spent helping me out. But he wouldn't let me. He obviously knows his stuff and is trustworthy, so if he tells you that he needs to come out, you can believe him. My thanks!

Had Darrell out yesterday to find a leak since my last two water bills have been astronomical. Thought it was irrigation leak. Nope. Darrell quickly determined it was a hot water leak in the slab. Told me what the plumbers would have to do. Not looking forward to it, but it's far better to know.

Very punctual. Came the next day on time. Awesome to work with. Hopefully I don't need this service again, but if I do, I'll come here.

I was inquiring on the cost of a leak detection with San Diego Leak Detection. I explained my situation and gave as much detail as possible. After reviewing my situation, Darrell concluded that my situation did not sound like it was a leak. At this time, I wont be using Darrell' services since it sounds like its not needed for me. I really appreciate Darrell's honesty. He could of very easily said I think we need to run a detection and charged me. Instead, he evaluated my needs and came to the conclusion.

Darrell, Although I may not be needing your services today, in the future, if I do or know anyone that does, I will be referring them to you.

We had some kind of water leak and I called and left a message with this company. Darrell immediately called me back and spent about 15 minutes on the phone patiently walking me through the various testing I could do to narrow down the source of the leak. Even though I had to ask him to repeat what he was saying (a few times), he maintained the same patient, helpful demeanor.
After following his direction, it appears my leak is in my irrigation system and he referred me to a specialist he trusted.
I'm still shaking my head over what he just did with me over the phone. Amazing customer service and kindness (someone else used that word & it is beyond accurate) are alive and well... at least in Darrell's world!

Darrel Cooper is great! He immediately picked up his phone when I called and was able to come over to my house just a couple hours later. He was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. Darrel is amazing! He was able to come to my house on very short notice, late in the day, and help with a water problem that caused us to have to shut off our water. He is such an incredibly nice guy and very professional. Really can't speak more highly of the service he provided us. If you are worried about finding a leak, I would highly recommend giving Darrel a call. He also provided some tips on things I could do myself that would save me money with the plumber.
