I guess, BEWARE, when they refuse to quote you an hourly rate. They did sent their guy, Corky, out (he's a nice guy). My problem: a leaky bathtub hot water spindle. I'm thinking one hour tops. The quote he gives (with some discounts: $572!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! ANYONE WHO HAS THESE GUYS COME OUT, GET READY FOR AN OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH BID!!!

This is basically a scam. I called them to clear my sewer drain. They had a deal for $89. I specifically asked if this includes roots and was told yes. The guy came out, he was maybe 22. He did a half-a$$ job, then called me out to say he could not get his camera through, so it would be either $2500 to do a spot repair or $7000 to replace the whole line (without seeing anything), or $335 to basically do a better job so he could see with his camera.

I opted for $335 because it was not too much more than other places would charge to snake it. He got it clear, but was immediately asking for $7000, even talking about where I could go to finance. He kept saying in his many years on the job, blah, blah blah, he was 22. His 'partner' just grimaced dramatically and shook his head the whole time. I looked in the camera and didn't see anything. Eventually he jammed the camera on the side of the pipe and said this is as far as I can go, saying it was only 15 feet, it was clearly more than 15 feet and I didn't see anything he was describing. I told him I'm not doing it.

Because I did not sign up to give them $7000 to replace the line, he said he could not guarantee the work, which in my opinion was incomplete and shoddy. In fact he told me about three times he would not guarantee the work. But that is OK, I will never call them again.

Run the other way. Their prices are very high. They quoted over 1,200 dollars to replace a simple kitchen faucet. Almost 300 to put a new hose bib on. Another plumber did both jobs for 250 dollars with a guarantee and also tightened some valves for free. He also came the same day I called. Very professional.

Same day plumbers are crooks in my book!

These guys are rip offs. They clean my main line some years back, $300 plus for 45 mins. I live in Vallejo. My house was built in to 20's. Vallejo has a program to replace the main line that pays back the home owner about 405 of the cost. I call this company to get a quote. $13,000 and was told it's a big job and would take 2 weeks. Now this going to be treanchless, right. About 125 ft. I call anouther company and they did it for $6,000 and had it done in a day. The owner of that company said yes Same Day Plumbing will charge you twice what it costs, hoping you take the bait. I took a lady friend out to dinner last night and she used Same Day Plumbing to replace her gas wall heater. Her house was built in the 50's. You remember those. I was shocked when she told me $4,000 is what they charge her!!! I have repaced these in the past, it take and hour, 2 at the most. I hope people read this and call someone else. High price for very little time/work

A $380.00 service estimate for a 30 minute garbage disposal replacement.

No...that is not a misprint. $380.00! Absurd.

I had another plumber install it for $50.00 and I gave him a $30.00 tip.

Drain was slow from the kitchen sink. Called them out during the week, normal business hours. We showed them where the problem was and assured him that it was going to be a quick and easy snake job. He wanted to sell us everything under the sun, we declined. After he talked for 30 miuntes, and then actualy did something for 20 minutes he found some grease build up right where we said. The bill was over $400. Never again. No stars

Clayton came by my house today and was extremely professional and full of knowledge, very personable and offered me a couple different options to solve my problem. All in the while letting me make the decision and not pressuring me into this or that like other service workers do. He reviewed my plumbing system from start to finish and was able to identify my problem fairly quick which is a huge plus!! He knew what he was doing there was never a question in my mind that Claytons' skills and knowledge was questionable. His answers were definative and to the point, there was no beating around the bush, no maybe this maybe that, he did not waste his or my time. All in all a very great skilled mechanic!!!

Overall service was fine. Can use some lessons in customer relations. Technician Jovani was great. very professional and thorough. However, followup work done by other workers just lacked communication.

I have recently started assisting my grandmother with her home finances and and upkeep. She has always used these folks in the past for her plumbing needs. Unfortunately for same day, this is about to change.

So far they have replaced the main line from the street to the home and have also replaced a bathroom sink and toilet. The main line installation was some ridiculously huge amount of money, easily 5% of the value of the whole house and the bathroom work was a couple of grand on top of that. Today I was quoted $700 - $1200 to install a new kitchen faucet, when you consider it is a $100 part, that is some ridiculous labor charges.

Going forward we are going to find a vendor with more reasonable prices.

I was given an estimate of $14,000 with ""discounts"" to replace 20 feet of sewer line. I literally cried when I got the estimate from this company. Where am I going to come up with $14,000?

Get a second opinion always! The city provides an upper lateral replacement program and my actual costs make these guys look like crooks. Shame on you if you know this program is available and didn't say a word. There is actually 40 feet that will be replaced.

It's unfortunate that the plumber who Same Day Service sent told me he ""doesn't usually work that hard for their $89 special"" and it clogged up 3 days later. I advised when I first called my clean out is on the roof and we wanted to camera the line. He couldn't do either because he said he didn't have the equipment.

In addition, my gas wall heater pilot won't stay lit. They sent a heat tech out and he tried 3x's to keep it lit. When it failed, he said it was my gas valve that needed to be replaced, took the number for the heater down and said they would get back to me. Still haven't gotten a reply. In addition, the estimate he gave me to replace the wall heater was exorbitant-$5,000. It's just a simple wall heater that doesn't even have an in-wall thermostat. Absolute robbery. Thank goodness it was no cost for him to come out and try to light the pilot & look at the heater. that was one plus.

Unfortunately, I can't give any recommendation to use this company. This company should go back to basics. Take pride in your work and what you take from people.

I recommend always getting a second opinion. I knew something didn't seem fair in pricing by Same Day Service. Call Advanced Trenchless/Up2Code Plumbing before you use this company. My friend referred me and it was a blessing. I cried tears of joy the way I was treated. They were just coming to do an estimate and ended up clearing my line, putting a camera and auger from my roof down the line. They made sure I could be comfortable in my home that I literally was staying out of because it was so backed up. They found the problems and the solution.

Sorry Same Day Service. Thumbs down.
