There has to be somewhere for the worst of the worst to go in any industry. In plumbing this has to be where all the rejects go. Unreliable, rude, and just plain stupid. Since AHS sent these clowns, and my next review is for them. You'd think they could vet their vendors just a little. I stopped at 12 negative reviews here mentioning AHS.

I was assigned Safe Cali Plumbing for a service request through American Home Shield. They came out, assessed the issue, said they couldn't resolve it without confirming more details with the home warranty company, so they left and I never heard from them again. I followed up with the home warranty company who attempted to get in touch with them, apparently they were able to, so I was told to call and reschedule an appointment. I called multiple times, never reaching a dispatch agent, left multiple messages and finally ended up calling the home warranty company to get assigned to another company. I'm not sure if they didn't want to come out again or what was going on, but I spent more than a few weeks attempting to get them to resolve the issue and I wasn't able to. I would not recommend them to others based on my experience.

Don't show up when scheduled
Make matters worse when they are they are supposed to be fixing a problem

STEER CLEAR!!! You'll regret using them!!!

And, trying to get information in order to file suit against them, they hide. Their email domain is driven by a ""hidden"" company. See snapshot.

""Oh, what do you want me to do?"" is not an answer when you have not had water for 4 days and then your gas is shut off by an incompetent douchebag of a person. WHY anyone would use them willingly is a mystery. Only the poor people who are referred by American Home Shield. They are probably their only customer.

They've only been in business a few years and have no idea how to deal with customers and hire only the unhireable.

And, don't try to get anyone on the phone - they're sitting at home, if you check their address, and only answer as they see fit.

Highly unprofessional and no sense of customer service or urgency. As a person who has been in the service business, I understand customer expectations, and there are much better companies out there - except if you have to go through American Home Shield. That, too, is part of the problem.

I would give this company zero stars if I could. This company is contracted with American Home Shield insurance. A plumber was at my home on Wednesday July 29 to evaluate a leaking hose in my pull-out kitchen faucet. He said he couldn't fix it then, but would have his company work with AHS to determine the next step. I didn't hear anything back, and called AHS on Friday the 29th to ask why there had been no movement with this issue. AHS couldn't reach Safe Cali, even on the emergency number. I spent 7 (SEVEN) hours today on hold waiting for a non-existent phone call back. Now I have to wait till tomorrow to even see if they can schedule a return visit. This is HORRIBLE service, and I'm giving AHS you-know-what for even contracting with them.

Avoid this company at all cost! They sent a guy out who didn't bring the proper tools to do the job. They never answered their phones for like a week and stood me up for an appointment. I had another plumber come out abd he fixed in 10 minutes. This company should be banned!

Crooked outfit. Inexperience plumber came and broke a water pipe causing extensive water damage to wood floors. Then takes off saying he's worried he might break another if he tries to fix. Calls to office are ignored and texts to the plumber, which he got before, go ignored. Basically they screwed up royally and now won't own up to their mistakes and I have to foot the bill. This company is no good !

I would like to rate Safe Cali less than one. I was referred to them from American Home Shield. If you wonder why a plumber would work for what AHS pays, here's a clue. The plumber is given a tip for someone to rip off.

I live in an older house. The kitchen sink sometimes gets backed up. Other plumbers have been able to clear the blockage in about 10 minutes. Not Safe Cali. Try 1 ... from under the sink the snake wouldn't follow the old pipes. Try 2 ... for an additional $150, try another clean out. The snake was too big for the pipe. Option 3 for $1010, was going to be to cut a hole in the wall under the sink and install another clean out. Luckily I have a good friend who is a plumber. He came over and snaked the drain from under the sink and cleared it in about 10 minutes. Bless him. I would NEVER use Safe Cali and I have problems trusting AHS, too.

Nothing short of a rip off company... The company sent over a plumber to snake out my tubs drain. He couldn't fix it unless he built a clean out for $1200-$1400.
I called another plumber who fixed the drain in 30 seconds for $90.
