I had some serious sewer clogging issues first thing Sunday morning while I was hosting my brother and his family of 4 in town for the Christmas Holiday. I had crap coming up everywhere. I called several well known name ""rooters"" all with extremely High estimates to fix the problem. Mike from Sac City Plumbing suggested to different options. One price option was to fix the issues and the other to correct and prevent the problem occurring again. Mike showed up quickly on time ready to make my issues go away.
Subsequently, Mike corrected my sewer issues as fast as he could, with no surprise added cost. He made it so if this problem should a rise again, there would be an easy and cost efficient way to fix. Mike was thorough and cleaned up the work area after he was all done.

Problem fixed the same day!!!! I will use him again ( If needed) for future plumbing fixes.

Well, it's past 4:30, so I have now been officially waiting for over three hours for Mike to show up for our 1:30 appointment. I called him at 3:00 and he said he was ""finishing up"" his last job, which he presumably expected to be done by 1:00ish. And, yet, no call to advise of the delay. He called me back at 3:30 to let me know he was on his way. Over an hour later and still waiting. If he shows up in the next 5 minutes, and does a good job, maybe I'll give him a better review.
UPDATE: He finally showed up around 5:00. He claimed he got lost and was waiting a couple of blocks down the street. I guess he forgot the fact that we had an actual conversation about how he had done a job literally two doors down from mine. And, when he did finally show up, he again proceeded to point out homes with which he was familiar right around my house. He did call at 4:44 to let me know he was ""lost."" I have no idea why it took him 3 1/2 hours to show up, but he even had the audacity to give me a sticker with his number on it ""for the next time you need a plumber."" Yeah, I don't think so. I upgraded to 2 Stars because he actually followed through with his promise to send me a receipt.

Because of Mike and his not wanting his customers to spend more money than they have to (Wow! What a unique concept!), I was able to keep my existing solar water heater, which is on my roof, even tho I had a new roof put on. Every other plumber I spoke with told me it couldn't be saved, which meant alot of money out of my pocket to get a traditional water heater installed in my garage. Mike suggested we ""don't fix what ain't broke"" and was able to unhook everything for the roofers in the morning and came back that same day and hooked everything back up, and Praise Baby Jesus, I had hot water again! Mike knows his stuff and I highly recommend him, you won't be disappointed!

I highly recommend Sac City Plumbing and will use them again in the future. We needed our clean out snaked for tree roots, and Mike was able to arrive and finish the job within an hour of my call. I was happy with the price, especially compared to MacDonald plumbing for the same type of job. Mike was very knowledgeable and did great work. They were also able to email the invoice, which I prefer.

Mike was super-fast in the responsiveness category, which is, let's face it... the most important thing when you need a plumber. Second to that is the quality of work and his willingness to stand behind it. Also, grade A.

We had a plumbing issue where the stuff from the kitchen was coming up through the shower. Not good to look at, and potentially pretty bad if we didn't catch in time and turn off the water. We called Mike, and within a couple of hours he was at our place and had the whole thing all cleared up. He was friendly, funny and very, very honest.

I'll use him again, though I hope to not need to anytime soon. :)

Mike from Sac City Plumbing did a fantastic job fixing our blocked drain line. We had another guy come out to try to fix it but he couldn't get it cleared so we called Mike. He showed up within a half hour of us calling- luckily he was in the area!
Mike was super thorough, and made sure every bit of yuck was cleared out of that drain pipe! We are completely satisfied and will definitely call again in the future whenever we need a plumber.

Awesome service. Came same day, came late in evening rather then pushing to another day which was much appreciated. Fixed my water heater, then did more investigating and got a birds nest out of the exhaust pipe. Mike stayed until the water was hot to make sure everything was repaired before leaving. Fair price, not that I am really in the know on pricing, but my landlord did not balk at the price.

Do not make the mistake I did. Mike is not licensed, yet his receipt says he is. This could then cause you to receive $3500 bill he will then skip out on.

I had the unfortunate experience of hiring SCP to fix my main line. Mike, when digging in my backyard hit the gas line. PGE was called, in addition to the fire department who evacuated the entire street and three news crews.

Mike said he would take responsibility for the PGE bill. He did not. The bill has him listed as the damaging party, but is addressed to me, because HE IS NOT LICENSED. THE LICENSE ON HIS RECEIPT IS NOT HIS. PGE contacted the license owner and he indicated that he know Mike but wasn't sure why his number was on Mike's receipt.

In addition to Mike complaining, cursing and telling me how much his day sucked because of my plumbing issue, he is also now costing me $3500 in addition to the $500 I had already paid him for services.

For the past month he has avoided all of my phone calls (and I have called from many numbers). Save yourself from this man- all he will do is ruin your day/week/month/year and bank account, act unprofessional, complain, make a mess and if he is having a bad day he might write""Job from Hell"" on you receipt like he did to mine.

Wonderful service and very reasonable prices. Before using Sac City plumbing, I was convinced that my one-of-a-kind older house had quirky plumbing and was a money pit. Mike has worked on 2 separate jobs (a broken drain pipe and tapping into a line for an additional outside hot water faucet) He had competent diagnoses and recommendations, and on-target work. I was impressed that I received a call that they were running a bit late for one appointment, and the other one they were right on time. Additionally, Mike is a charming guy, quite erudite, a renaissance man -- no ""Joe the plumber!""
