The whole S&J team is exceptional. Not only is the final product great, their communication and scheduling are the best. They even sent a truck over just to pick up some old plywood shelving that was garbage that wasn't their responsibility. I have no suggestions on how to improve. Impressive!

We had a slab leak and needed to replace the drywall behind our kitchen cabinets and not only did they expertly repair the damaged wall, but they restored our cabinets to like new condition and FAST. Super professional and great communication. Friendly and competent subs with absolutely NO problem accommodating our any and all of our needs to restore what was once a big mess.

This company was a dream to work with. They just finished a permitted deck for us which itself is a miracle in this city. They got us an engineer who got the permits. The company is personable and the team has a dynamite work ethic. The labor was affordable and got things done on time. The few change orders that came along were handled well. We now have a beautiful redwood deck that's changed our backyard! I highly recommend them for deck and restoration jobs.

Our insurrance company called in S&J when our master bath sprang a leak and basically flooded our downstairs guestroom.

S&J were nothing but spectacular in their service and accommodating our needs even worked with us on every step of the repairs. Informed us of what was happening at all times. Kept to their schedules and did such a great job it looked better than before the accident.

They were courteous and laid down sheeting and ensured that there was never any mess in the house.. they completely sheeted in the damaged area when working.

S and J Builders, were the restoration company recommended by my insurance company, after we experienced a Hot Water slab leak. Eric was the foreman, and maintained outstanding contact with me, as to what was coming next, and when it was coming. All of the workers that came to my home, were courteous, respectful, and wanted to make sure that I was happy with their part in the restoration of my home. Eric called the other day, and asked if there were any problems. My reply was, ""Eric, the biggest problem I've had, is to get you, and your employees to stop calling me Sir, or Mr.!"" The restoration was done with the highest quality, lowest trouble possible (Given the situation, with a slab leak) and highest professionalism! When I do get to do my kitchen renovation, I know who I'll be calling!

I can't even give ONE star, HORRIBLE WORK PRODUCT AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE OR NO BUSINESS ETHICS! The Project Manager (PM) Mike was a very polite and kind screw up who kept making up ""stories"" to cover his mistakes, and the sub they brought on the job was so bad they had to demo their own work and do it over! This happened AFTER I called Gracie in customer service twice to tell her everything that was going wrong. I even had to bring in a civil engineer to confirm what they were doing wrong. After all this, Sean, the owner who bid my job, called me at home at 6:45 AM, I was half asleep and told me he was taking over for the PM and when I said I did not want the incompetent sub on the job, he said I had no choice. I was pretty angry and had a few choice words for him, which I'm not proud of. So after going back and forth via E-mail, Sean refused to give me any discount, or extended warranty and wanted to charge me extra for work that was in the bid. No wonder they got multiple F's and D's on Angie's list. I had decided to fire them after the first week of lies and mishaps in order to minimize my losses, but ended up giving them the benefit of the doubt, after Mike convinced me they would make it right. Boy was that was a BIG mistake, a Big, Big mistake. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, CHECK ANGIE'S LIST, BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES! I am thankful that I only hired them to work on the outside of my house, before I let them do work on the inside of my house, to the tune of about $40K, that's their loss now.
