Russell's has been the only plumbing company I've used in the last 10 years. Always great service.
In chatting with Brian today (nicest guy in the world), I found out he is NOT vaccinated. It's his personal ""medical freedom"" to not get vaccinated against COVID. He was not wearing a mask.
I called the company and made them aware that he is unmasked. I am posting this to say that they require their employees to wear masks.
COVID is one more line in the sand for people with opposing opinions. I respect Brian's right to not choose to be vaccinated. I am responsible for my own safety, and I should have asked. I didn't.
In the future, anyone showing up to work at my place, IF UNMASKED, I will ask about their vaccination status. I've been too complacent.

This is not a review based on their plumbing, but rather their stance on safety precautions and their employees. Per the States guidelines, and just common human decency during a WORLDWIDE pandemic-masks ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL UNVACCINATED PERSONS INDOORS. I would think the company as a whole would make this explicitly clear to their employees, as how they're are entering private residences. When an unmasked plumber entered my parents home for service on Monday, it was not until my husband asked if he was vaccinated (he was NOT) and asked him to done a mask that he complied. When my mother called to notify the company, their response was apathetic and unconcerned, stating they can't force their plumbers to do so. Actually, it's state mandated. So yes, you can. Thank you Russels plumbing for always providing great service over the many years. Even if you give zero sh*ts about public health and your customer safety.

I've been dealing with the death of my fiance from Coved and a pipe just blew a hole in the floor. Russell's plumbing was AMAZING with only my promise to pay they patched it then fix it asap. Then next week it was fixed. Thank you so much to the Russell's family. Big Hugs... Safety 6 feet..lol
Thank you again...

Over priced, rude, took forever. I didn't know they had such bad reviews until after I used them and when I asked why they said they didn't care. They had plenty of work.
So if this the type of company you want to support good luck to you.

""Loved that they showed up in a mask, as safety is number one right now. Everything was great, except for a few snafus, including waiting a little longer than usual . . . ""
The foregoing is the Yelp suggested start of a review. Let's see:
BACKGROUND--
The plumbing issue was to replace/repair a condo shower/tub faucet that leaked into an identical condo one story below.
The repair required a water shut off for the entire building (affecting 40 or so units), which shut off the condo management quite reasonably schedule twice a month, from 9:00-1:00pm
The work was scheduled nine days in advance for Thursday, March 18, 9:00am.
The condo management, two sets of two residents, two owners, one real estate agent, And Russell Plumbing all agreed to such day and time for the work.
THE BIG DAY ARRIVES--
1) At 9:01am the water to the building is shut off;
2) At 9:02, four residents, the on-site manager, and agent are Eager to have two working showers.
3) By 9:30, actually much earlier, we noticed--No Russell Plumbing!
4) What happened, you ask. Russell had an earlier job that morning and would not be available until noon.
5) Russell Plumbing did Not show up at all.
6) Did Russell tell anyone they wouldn't/couldn't make it? NO.
7) Did Russell call the day before, the night before, or the morning of the scheduled work? NO.
8) For a job scheduled 9 days in advance, Russell Plumbing did Not Call, Email, or Communicate in any way that they were not able to timely do the work.
CONCLUSION--
SNAFU, pretty much sums it up.

I would not recommend Russell Plumbing. I used them several years ago and they did a good job, but unfortunately things do not remain the same. I contacted Russell's to do some maintenance as I thought my kitchen sink drain and bathtub drain where sluggish when draining. A Technician came out and fixed the kitchen drain. He cleaned out the tub drain and it appeared to drain much quicker. Soon after, I noticed the toilet wasn't flushing properly and a checked another bathroom and found the same problem. N
I called them back 10 days later and told them I had a plumbing problem and the toilets were not flushing. They said they would be out the next day in the afternoon. In the meantime I discover the 3rd bathroom toilet was backed up and black stuff filled the bottom of the shower and overflowed and flowed into the office. Russell's calls that afternoon and cancels the appointment for that day and says they can come out the next day in the morning between 8 to 10. She denies saying that, but when he did show up around 9:30 he did not have the equipment or knowledge to clear the main drain. This was a huge inconvenience for me because I had a very important doctor appointment at 1:00 PM because coming as late as he did he would never have been done for me to leave for my doctor appointment. As luck would have it, he didn't come equiped to do the job
So......... They said another guy would show up Saturday day with the right equipment. Guy shows up I again explain the situation. I told him I was up to ears in shit. The purpose of his visit was to clear the main drain a fact he seemed unaware of. I am on septic. I pointed to where the cleanout was on the roof and he started hemming and hawing. He asked about other cleanouts.I told him it was an older house and the cleanout probably had not been opened in more than 30 years and was too narror for modern day equipment (This had been explained to me by one of Russell's techs years ago.) Then he accused me of yelling at him and he was going to leave. And I said I haven't yelled at him nor have cussed at him. I said that sounds about right that you would leave and not do your job . He stomped off. Yes, Russell Plumbing and Suppllies, INC. Did not keep the appointments , did not come prepared do their job and when the did show up supposedly with the right equipment , the technician stomped off.
I am elderly and have a severe back problem and can barely walk right now. In fact, I am supposed to use a walker. I can't pick things up off the floor nor can I sweep or use a vaccum at this time. The stress they caused me was totally unnecessary had the scheduler, a very smart mouthed women, gotten the facts on at least, one of the phone calls.
BTW They also wanted me to pay 300 and something for one hour to clear the main line. I have already paid them $682.84 for the work they did 1/13/21.
They are rude, incompetent and do not keep their appointments and the last tech out today appeared fat and lazy and it seemed to me, after thinking about it,the last thing he wanted to do today was clear a drain.
They are over priced and not worth the trouble. The first tech did get the kitchen drain fixed and he did give me a senior discount of $50, but the bill was still $682.84. The two stars is for the first technician, not there other technician or office staff.

Amazing customer service, dispatch was kind and helpful! The lady I was talking to i think her name was shamera? was very helpful. I will be using the service again.

Worst plumber possible. Put in the wrong hot water heater and will not repair it, or take it away. Completely useless office personnel, rude and REFUSED to identify themselves

Too bad you cannot give zero or negative stars! This company is shadier than a 100 ft. redwood and less reliable than a deadbeat dad. Five times they stood us up! FIVE TIMES!!! Why did we give them five chances you ask? Well, they are and hopefully after the were, our HOA's exclusive plumbing company. We had no choice. DO NOT USE THEM!

Not impressed with the tech that came out by any means. Defensive, no mask, not helpful and had been in some sort of fight. He looked very beat up. Only stepped up when told we would call another plumber. Is this the best they can do?
