This is my first review on Yelp. I didn't know that finding a good, honest plumber to install a whole house water filter + softener (Aquasana EQ 1000) would be this difficult. I knew it would cost me around $500 because one of my friends paid $400 for a similar filter (Aquasana EQ 300) 18 months back. I called a number of plumbers in our area and was really frustrated by the response.

Plumbing Company: The technician is on the way to give you an estimate. You be at home at 11 AM. (we reached home to talk to him. But the technician got something more important than our appointment and didn't show up)

Plumber 1: I don't know about other plumbers, but my rate is $900 (Me: Thanks!)

Plumber 2: I will install the filter and build a nice, beautiful Redwood box to protect it for just $1500! (Thank God, he didn't suggest using gold pipes instead of copper)

Plumber 3: You buy me the materials. I charge $50/hr. and it would take about 4 hours for me. We can finish the job within $500. (I agreed and asked for a reference. After that he never showed up)

Plumber 4: I won't rip you off like others. I think (???) I can do it for $550 (he called again in couple of hours and said he wants $850 to do it)

Plumber 5: ... Plumber 6: ... (A lot of no shows)

The filters were sitting in our backyard for almost 5 weeks. Finally I found Roy on Yelp and he came to our house.

Roy: I can do it for $700. It looks like the materials would cost me $300.

Me: I know the price of copper pipes and fittings. I am looking for a more reasonable price. Can you do it for $500?

Roy: No Raj, that is too less. I can do it for $600. If it is OK, I'll come around 9 AM on Tuesday to install it.

Don't ask me how but I felt Roy is the right man for the job after talking to him. I agreed to $600 but was wondering if he would show up on Tuesday morning (experience!). Roy came on Tuesday morning and did a fabulous job. He brought a wooden plank and wood blocks to fasten the filters against the fence for support. He installed a neat bypass line with stopper valves to redirect water while changing filters or in case of any issues with the filters. It took almost 5 hours to complete the job and in the end not a single drop of water leaked in the new lines. He is a very friendly person and a professional plumber with lot of experience. Next time if I ever need a plumber, I will call him first. Thanks Roy, we are enjoying clean, healthy and tasty water now.

Called Roy this morning (a Saturday at 9 a.m.) and he answered and was available right away. I described the problem on the phone and he stopped on his way over to pick up necessary parts. He quickly fixed the issue for a very reasonable price...so much so...that I showed him a second issue I had put on the back burner and within an hour had that fixed too! Roy is very courteous, efficient and cost conscious. I highly recommend Roy's Plumbing. Thank you Roy. I will call on him again in the future if need be!

My grandmother's kitchen sink was clogged. She called Ace Plumbing and they came right away. The plumber that came out said he was unable to snake the drain due to an old fitting and would have to come back out with additional help the next day, open the wall and replace the fitting. The estimate for this service was $1800, which she declined to have done. He charged her $108 for coming out (and not fixing anything). My mother referred her to Roy. He came out first thing the next morning, fixed the clogged sink within 30 minutes and charged her less than Ace did. If you're looking for an honest plumber that's going to get the job done and isn't just out for a quick buck...call Roy!!!!

Roy has given me straight talk as to what caused the problem and the best way to fix it right. It is a good feeling to know I can depend on Roy's plumbing when the need arises.

I had been looking for a plumber for quite some time to fix my master bathroom shower drain, I decided to call Roys Plumbing because I saw his flyer up at the Anatolia Clubhouse. I did not think he would answer since I called on a weekend but we scheduled an appointment for the next day, Sunday. I couldnt be happier with the service my shower drain is fixed and Roy even gave me some tips about the painting that I was doing in my house. I will definitely use his service again if I ever need it.

I chose Roy's Plumbing based on the reviews but my call got referred to another plumbing company without being told and they did a fine job I guess but filled in the hole leaving a huge bump that I had to clean up. They also seemed to have overcharged this very ignorant person as they stated they upsold the job and shared money with Roy's.

I can't give a true rating but not happy with the situation.
