Avoid. Seriously. Go with a local plumber who answers their phones in a local office.
Roto-Rooter was a miserable experience that cost me 2 days of my time - waiting.
Zero local contact assistance. Their mid-west dispatch office maintained 'friendliness' throughout my approximate 10 phone calls for updates on why they couldn't keep an appointment.
The constant stream of mis-information and lies about why they couldn't make the original appointment was a farce. One Dispatcher tried to convince me that the plumber had shown up and left 2 hours prior to my 8th call because he couldn't park (there's parking ALL OVER). This was after they said 'he's just down the block and will be there in 20 mins. Another Dispatcher told me they had fallen behind schedule because of bad weather (it was the nicest fall day you could ask for in Seattle). The people who answer their phones must go home each night and bang their heads into the wall.
Shameful customer service from multiple layers in this 'organization'.
Stay local and call someone with a verifiable office and employees nearby.

The person who came and fixed our clogged outdoor drain was super nice. He explained exactly what the problem was, fixed it in 10 minutes, and tested it with us to make sure it was working. Can't imagine a better experience!

Having made an appointment to install a kitchen faucet for Monday evening (between 5 and 11 p.m.), we were disappointed to receive a call at 8:30 Monday evening only to be told that our service provider was stuck in a broken down vehicle south of Seattle and they had no idea how late it might be. Would we please reschedule? Being a two-income family (necessary to afford a $400 faucet installation), it's not so easy to accept the last-minute appointment change, but we agreed to a change to 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Sometime after 10 a.m. our plumber arrived (after two calls to dispatch). While Eli was speedy and efficient, the service leading up to the install was something less than either - and the cost of a 25 minute installation was utterly ridiculous. This is the third service call we've had with Roto Rooter. The previous two were much better and included experiences that were timely and dependable. Not sure what went on during this last one, but it was a disappointment.

Incompetent is the best way to describe this company - waiting on for 3 days for services and upon returning multiple calls when i miss one of their messages by 30 minutes I now lost out on my request - you totally suck and I would never recommend you - pathetic. Use someone else - seriously

Called them to fix a kitchen sink that was draining slowly. Came exactly when they said they would. Anthony was very professional and personable and quickly removed a clog that was at least 15ft behind our condo wall. Service was also guaranteed for the next six months, which is a nice bonus.

I would rate this between 3 & 4 stars because of the cost alone. If I could brake it down, I would chose 3 stars for price and 5 stars for service.

I was told that my technician would be there between 1245 - 345 and the technician was late. He was held up at a previous job which I cannot fault him, I however can fault the planning from a management level.

I think that with waiting 4+ hours to get my kitchen sink drain fixed the person on the phone should tell the customers wha the hourly rate is and if they have any set fees when you tell them your problem.

I would hire this technician again though. He represented the company well and cared about my issue.

I called Roto-Rooter to give me a quote for clearing/snaking our clogged kitchen sink. Apparently, they give no obligation quotes of which I was initially leary, worried about the hard sell. Farhad arrived on time, after I received a courtesy call from Roto-Rooter notifying me of his arrival 30 min ahead of time, and was SO gracious when I told him that I wanted to keep shopping around. I kept apologizing to him and was shocked how easy he made it for me to say No Thank You. I give Farhad 5 stars for his stupendous and gracious customer service.

Roto-Rooter delivered speedy service and although they gave me a 4 hour time frame for the appointment (which you can schedule online or over the phone) they came within the first half hour of the time frame and called beforehand to make sure I was home. Florin the plumber was great; he explained what the problem was (a clogged kitchen pipe, which apparently typically occurs in every household every 10-15 years), and allowed me to observe his work so that I would know if I needed to call Roto Rooter if something like that happened again. He was in and out in 15 minutes. I dont know how they compare with other plumbing companies but you can usually find a coupon on the website.

Made an appointment on Tuesday for Wednesday service. Received confirmation for the appointment. Took the day off work. Received a call 20 minutes prior to appointment time that they don't service my area on Wednesday; but they do Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Friday. Would have been good information when making the appointment and before taking the day off work. Very unprofessional and classless.

I had already purchased a new water heater. The only thing that was needed to be done was to install the new one. They took a ridiculously long time to install the water heater and charged me $1600!!!Ridiculous never again! ZERO STARS!!!
