Jeff #1174 and Chris #2952 showed up at my house within an hour of my call. They were both friendly and courteous. They gave me an estimate on installing my new disposal quickly. I was disappointed at how high the estimate was but Jeff and I quickly agreed to a more reasonable price. Chris did the install expertly. He tested the install thoroughly for leaks and cleaned up after himself. They even took the old disposal away. I was pleased with the service which I received.

My husband called RotoRooter on a Saturday afternoon around 4:00 PM because we had a clogged drain. They said they would be there in about an hour. Much to our pleasant surprise I think they were at our house in about 30 minutes. The gentleman who came was very efficient and did his work promptly. I think he was there around 45 minutes. He used a cable machine to clean the sanitary drain through the toilet. I was a bit surprised though that it cost as much as it did, but will say he did an excellent job.

A little under a year ago I called to have Roto Rooter fix a drain in my kids bathroom that was leaking into my kitchen. The guy came out and charged over $300, however the same problem has resurfaced multiple time and I just don't have the money to keep paying Roto Rooter to do the same job over and over again. I feel as though I wasted my money because Roto Rooter doesn't seem to guarantee the quality of their work. I tried to fill out the survey on customer service but for some reason I kept hitting errors. So I was unable to get the issue completely resolved. I would never recommend using any Roto Rooter company services as they are way over priced and the quality of work is not guaranteed.

CORRECTION: The company reached out to me and it was clarified that the work was done 3 years ago, however they only guarantee their work for 6 months to 1 year. So on this issue I am just out of luck as the issue began after the guaranteed date of 6 months later. If you're going to use Roto-Rooter I would suggest find out the guarantee warranty on their work first.

I want to say a huge thank you to Joe Condrey and Roto-Rooter for helping us out of a potentially disastrous situation. When we had a problem, we needed help ASAP! I greatly appreciated the ease of the scheduling process for Roto-rooter AND our specialist showed up within 2 hours. Joe was professional and polite. He took his time and was very thorough in making sure that our issue was resolved before he left. He even showed us the clog that started the whole thing (upon our request :)! I can't recommend them highly enough for emergency plumbing needs!

Roto Rooter responded within 2 hours of my call to clear a backed up main sewage line. The technician Chuck was very polite and made sure that i understood how my drain could be blocked. He scheduled his camera guy to ensure my line is not blocked due to roots or anything. Very fast service - Im satisfied

Extortion-level, dishonest pricing

I have a slow drain in my yard that is partially clogged from mulch. I called Roto Rooter DC to get the drain snaked. I've used them before for a simple disposal replacement in DC and they were premium priced for that to say the least but I was in a bind so had to agree.

They wanted $400 to snake an outdoor drain that is only slow--not clogged. This is a 10-minute job. Unbelievable and dishonest price gouging. Find an honest plumber before you turn to these people.

I used Roto-Rooter in Jessup. My overall feeling is the company tried their best but the technicians are mixed bag. And they are very expensive ($502 to cut the dry wall and replace a few inches of plastic pipe, took a hour and half). The appointment was easy to make and they arrived on time. Although he fixed the leak for now, the technician could not explain why it happened the way it happened, which did not give me a peace of mind. They cut the dry wall and put in a access panel, but the access panel is the cheapest I can ever find. I plan to go to home depot to get one my self.

I have another dripping faucet that require only changing the faucet washer. It should take a plumber a few minutes, I thought since he's here why not get it changed. But he charge me $149 for a few minutes work. I decided not let him do it.

I went with this company because their big name, but was not impressed. I would not recommend it to my friends.

I had a double sink clog and needed it to be fixed as soon as possible. I have a busy schedule and I ended up scheduling service 9pm-11pm. Dispatch gave me a call 30 min prior to the plumber coming , which was perfect since I was out running errands. Chal, tech 2157 arrived within the window. He was very professional , thorough with what had to be done, and courteous. He was able to fix the problem quickly and he even cleaned the kitchen sink after the line was cleared! I won't hesitate to call Roto Rooter again!

Roto Rooter came outot my home on 6 April. Robert was my serviceman. Robert was very professional and down to earth. He gave me other options to keep my problem from reoccuring and he was able to take care of the problem in a hour.

I woke up Saturday morning (March 14, 2015) to a non-working toilet and immediately called Roto-Rooter. They verbally told me what time the technician would arrive as well as sent a follow-up email. Additionally, they called to provide an update (really liked this) as well as called to say the technician was on his way. When the technician, Lal, arrived - I liked how he introduced himself, put on his booties, and immediately diagnosed the problem. Since I liked the customer service (call to intro) I added on more work....would have added more but had some where else to go. However, he quickly fixed the problem and ended the service job on an excellent note. I would call them again.........great service doesn't come often these days.
