Kam M. did a great job opening our kitchen drain and explaining how to prevent future occurances. It was not inexpensive, but he came at night and he came relatively fast, plus he fixed the problem. We've used Roto-Rooter for years and plan on using them in the future, if necessary.

After having a backed up toilet, I called and had a technician there within two hours. He handled my problem in a very professional manner. The only negative was the price, for snaking the drain. That was the only cost I incurred, and that was a hardship. Shortly after leaving, I had two water restoration technicians, Matt and Pat, there to remove the affected walls, cabinets, floors, and property that was contaminated, by the back up. They sterilized the enter basement, with chemicals that wouldn't affect my daughter's allergies. I also had an area manager come, and he handled my homeowners insurance, and took all the paperwork, out of my hands. Everyone I worked with was incredibly professional, and they made a horrible experience, easier than I anticipated. They have a customer for life, and I highly recommend using this company.

I had a water line break in my house and had to have DC Water turn me off at the road. They said to have a licensed plumber come out and turn me back on. Called Roto-Rooter this morning because they offer free estimates. They came when scheduled. It cost $120 to have my water turned back on, which was pretty expensive to stick a pole in the ground and turn the water main back on in my opinion, but the fact they showed when they said they would was impressive to me. The technician I had was Jonathan, I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter based on this experience, just be prepared to spend more than you would want to.

I am updating my review after speaking to a guy in the office.... apparently plumbers make a ton of money per hour so $120 for 15 minutes is normal. :)

Pau Khai, from the Roto-Rooter 7800 Waterloo Rd, Jessup, MD, just cleared a poorly designed drain pipe at our house. Night before Thanksgiving with no kitchen sink? Not something you would choose. Pau was at our house quickly, and efficiently diagnosed the problem (a poorly installed system), fixed it and was out of here. Saved the day. I will definitely be calling for him with the next plumbing crisis.

I called Roto-Rooter to repair a small slow drip coming from a pipe in one of my closets. The technician, Conrad, was here for 15 minutes before he realized he needed to go to the store to get pipe small enough to replace the failing section. Before departing he asked me directly ""how much do you want to pay today."" Shocked I said well I want to pay what the service is really worth and not get ripped off. He then said there's a $245 flat fee for me coming out here, and I'm going to charge you an extra $100 for parts I get from the store and my time for going to get the parts. So, the technician is gone for almost two hours and the Home Depot is literally 8 miles from my home. He shows back up with maybe 3 feet of a very small PVC piping and a metal connector he was going to use to splice the old pipe with the new. Didn't seem like $100 worth of parts to me by any means. Took him about 10 minutes after returning from the store to make the repair. All in all, he was in my home for 30-40 minutes, where majority of his time was spent talking to me about the high prices to live in the area where I live, and earned $345. Considering a few months ago I called the same Roto-Rooter and had a complete drain under one of my bathroom sinks replaced for $276 with far more labor and parts included I am beyond disgusted. While the technician was friendly generally speaking , talk about dishonest premium pricing for minimal service!!

**UPDATE**
Immediately after posting my review I got a message from Pat in customer service asking for my address and stating a official complaint was filed with my technician's district manager. Shortly after that I got a call from a manager at the branch where my technician was dispatched from who expressed apologies. He noted that the technician's behavior was not appropriate and should in no way be a reflection of the company as a whole. He put the technician on a ""do not send"" list for my address and offered me a good portion of my funds back to compensate me fire my horrible experience. That's the kind of customer service I truly appreciate and will get Roto-Rooter future business from me. they could have ignored my post but took time out to ensure the situation was rectified. Says a lot about how they value customers at this business. Thank you!

Jeff #1174 and Chris #2952 showed up at my house within an hour of my call. They were both friendly and courteous. They gave me an estimate on installing my new disposal quickly. I was disappointed at how high the estimate was but Jeff and I quickly agreed to a more reasonable price. Chris did the install expertly. He tested the install thoroughly for leaks and cleaned up after himself. They even took the old disposal away. I was pleased with the service which I received.

My husband called RotoRooter on a Saturday afternoon around 4:00 PM because we had a clogged drain. They said they would be there in about an hour. Much to our pleasant surprise I think they were at our house in about 30 minutes. The gentleman who came was very efficient and did his work promptly. I think he was there around 45 minutes. He used a cable machine to clean the sanitary drain through the toilet. I was a bit surprised though that it cost as much as it did, but will say he did an excellent job.

A little under a year ago I called to have Roto Rooter fix a drain in my kids bathroom that was leaking into my kitchen. The guy came out and charged over $300, however the same problem has resurfaced multiple time and I just don't have the money to keep paying Roto Rooter to do the same job over and over again. I feel as though I wasted my money because Roto Rooter doesn't seem to guarantee the quality of their work. I tried to fill out the survey on customer service but for some reason I kept hitting errors. So I was unable to get the issue completely resolved. I would never recommend using any Roto Rooter company services as they are way over priced and the quality of work is not guaranteed.

CORRECTION: The company reached out to me and it was clarified that the work was done 3 years ago, however they only guarantee their work for 6 months to 1 year. So on this issue I am just out of luck as the issue began after the guaranteed date of 6 months later. If you're going to use Roto-Rooter I would suggest find out the guarantee warranty on their work first.

I want to say a huge thank you to Joe Condrey and Roto-Rooter for helping us out of a potentially disastrous situation. When we had a problem, we needed help ASAP! I greatly appreciated the ease of the scheduling process for Roto-rooter AND our specialist showed up within 2 hours. Joe was professional and polite. He took his time and was very thorough in making sure that our issue was resolved before he left. He even showed us the clog that started the whole thing (upon our request :)! I can't recommend them highly enough for emergency plumbing needs!

Roto Rooter responded within 2 hours of my call to clear a backed up main sewage line. The technician Chuck was very polite and made sure that i understood how my drain could be blocked. He scheduled his camera guy to ensure my line is not blocked due to roots or anything. Very fast service - Im satisfied
