My mom called for a leak. The man came in a timely manner. He processed to cut a huge hole in the basement ceiling. She was told that it was the air conditioner. We called someone else for flooding. He couldn't find a leak. He moves the refrigerator and the ice maker line has a little whole in it. Needless to say we have a huge hole in our basement ceiling for nothing. When all he had to do was move the refrigerator first.

We repeatedly had our ticket for service voided and were not notified why. I had to call four separate times for updates on when a technician would arrive, and each time I was notified of the ticket being voided. We were told that Roto Rooter would be able to provide services but then were notified this was no longer the case. I have spent more than 24 hours trying to resolve this issue to no avail. The lack of service and miscommunication is frustrating and incredibly unprofessional

Do not use this company. Did not fix issue and charged $1000.00. Gave a 6 month warranty with job. Had a clog in Septic pipe. Clogged in a few days. called and made appt. for next day and never showed. Called them and was told they were finished with job. What about my warranty. Had to call another plumber who cleared the pipe due to RotoRooter moving the clog and not clearing it. Stay away from these theives.

Do not use this company! I had them replace a main cast iron sewer line under the basement slab and the work was done terribly and the company was completely unresponsive to my complaints. They excavated the pipe and replaced it over 3 days, none of which I had working plumbing, and not in the 1 day they said it would take. During that time I was told I could flush toilets and run water down the drains which would fill up the trench in my basement and they said they would just pump it out! Mmmm... cess pool in my basement, NO THANKS! Then they back filled and put a 1/2"" terrible coat of concrete on top leaving cracks and exposed dirt, I don't think they like to follow standard building codes when it comes to this. They told me I had to pay someone else to come out and finish off the floor. I was not too happy about this especially when I saw that they charged my credit card without my consent or project satisfaction. I filed multiple complaints, tried many times to reach the general manager. Finally their excavation manager agreed to come out and redo it ultimately to never show up or call on the day the work was scheduled! Then I filed more complaints to corporate Roto Rooter and BBB. Guess what? 4 weeks later the GM called me to come fix it. Too bad I had already paid another contractor to do the concrete job correctly unlike Roto Rooter was capable of. And their response to the BBB complaint was classic, saying the job was done ""to their standards"" and that they tried to schedule a time to come out and redo it but that I had already had it fixed by someone else but wouldn't provide a receipt. Classic! Talk about total lack of any care about customer satisfaction!!!

STAY AWAY FROM ROTO ROOTER!!!!!

Never use this company. Service is horrible, they broke my drain pipe took a lot of money. Instead of cleaning the pipe they broke it never send camera person to look the pipe condition. never use this company.

I would go for 0 stars for them. We had issues with the water heater and the person come and basically just restarted the heater and charged us $130 and the heater did not work at all. Later we called them again and they said that they will come again and we waited till night and they didn't show up!
In the next morning they said they will send someone and I waited for more than 2 hours and no one came or call to say they will be late. When I called them back they said they don't know when the technician will finish his other job to come. All in all, not professional at all and they do not care about customers AT ALL

This business is not good. Often the managers wouldn't communicate with the tram they sent out to get the work done. But once you spoke with upper leadership they took care of the issue. Just get a plumber out in town or a local one. Do not support this chain!

Person that arrived at my house was completely incompetent. Tools me that i needed a main line clean out, even though the same company performed the task only 3 weeks prior. I sent him away and called another company that sold the problem in 1 hour.

Had major drainage issues due to a heavy rain last night in Mclean. I have worked with several plumbing companies before. I decided to call Roto-Rooter this morning first thing and their technician Adam was at my door within circa 1.5 hour. He worked extremely hard and was amazingly honest and diligent. I am absolutely sticking with Rotor-Rooter for all of my plumbing/drainage issues moving forward and want to thank the company and Adam in particular. I will recommend this company to all of my neighbors and colleagues as well. Been a rough year for everyone and its a special pleasure to be able to work with such hard working and honest individuals as Adam and this company. Thanks again, Aaron G.
