I called around 8:00 this morning and they said they would send someone right over...he arrived within the hour and was able to clear the clogs from my two bathroom sinks and bathtub...thank you for fixing my sinks and tub
Amber K.I am very happy with the service. The plumber was very kind and went the extra mile. He came and did a great job on our plumbing!
Kari F.When you need a plumber, you need a plumber and Roto-Rooter has been there when we needed them. Thankfully, that has only been twice in 7 years but both times produced great results.
We called this morning, a Sunday, and we were told we could expect someone within two hours with a call 30 min. before arrival. It turned out to be about 20 minutes longer than that, but that is the only complaint I have about this experience.
Our plumber, David, arrived and promptly got to work listening to what our problem was and what we had tried before. Within the hour he had our sink unclogged. David was very professional and friendly. He explained everything to us and suggested a product to use to help prevent the problem from recurring.
It wasn't cheap, but we had tried everything we could before calling Roto Rooter and are very happy with the outcome.
Jen J.#1 Arrived on-time, when they said 0800 to 0900, I thought, here we go again...but nope, on-time.
#2 Clean, a garbage bag was laid on the floor and the plumber had on soft booties. All equipment was kept on a tarp.
#3 Polite, he didn't ask why I'd taken the P-Trap off myself. The only thing I had to assist with was flushing the toilet (he was listening for something in there while he had a snake ran under my kitchen sink).
#4 Told me what to expect during and after (there is a 6 month guarantee).
#5 They didn't charge .01 more for it being last minute or emergency and they were open at 0630. They accepted the $40 off coupon I'd found on their website. I believe the price was fair at $470ish. I know I don't plan to buy a snake or know what to do with one of them things.
My technician-Mr. Young Kim came by my place and was extremely professional. He was more than courteous but actually personable. He seemed to be very knowledgeable about my issue in the shower. I'm taking the time to write this review because it is rare that I get a service person that is not rude or a moron lately. This person took the time to not only educate me but to be genuinely personable. I wasn't surprised when he told me of his years of experience. Rotor Rooter thanks for making a frustrating experience an actually decent one with reasonable pricing and sending such a nice service guy by.
This is a zero star review. The technician appeared to be inept in his ability to handle the equipment. He informed us that he had to remove a commode to be able to run the system through the plumbing. We removed the commode for him. Then he was unable to get the snake to go through the pipe, so he removed the cutting end from the snake and bent the snake so that it would supposedly root out anything in the line. He spent a long time trying to get the snake through the system and finally concluded that he would have to enter the pipe from the end where the tank is located. We dug up the lid to the tank and opened it for him. Again, he was unable to use the cutter end and only used the bent end of the snake. Use of the camera showed a general area of clogging in the pipe and he was finally able to get just the snake part through the clogged area, which allowed some water to come through, but did not remove the clog. He finally said that we would have to replace the pipe from the house to the tank and packed his tools and left.
I subsequently called Roto-Rooter again, and explained the issues. They indicated that they would send out a different Technician to investigate and attempt to rectify the problem. The second technician (James) reviewed the issues, decided on using the rooter from the tank end. He used a smaller blade, and was able to successfully get the rooter all the way from the tank to the house. This opened the pipe and effluent came out into the tank. He then used a larger cutting blade, which exited the side of the pipe about half way from the tank to the house. We dug that up and discovered that the pipe had been mashed nearly flat, and had became plugged at that point. The experience and demeanor of the 2nd technician proved to be what was needed to find the problem.
Roto-Rooter management was responsive to the issues I had with their handling of my clogged galvanized pipe.
Management has worked with me to fix the situation.
I had a stopped up toilet and a plunger would not unstop it. I called Roto-Rooter to come snake the drain. The cost was extremely high at $850.00! I needed to get the work done quickly and felt I had no choice but to have them do the work. If I need the same thing done in the future, I don't plan to use Roto-Rooter and I will certainly shop around.
I WILL NEVER USE these guys again!!! EVER!!!!! Called them because it was easy to set a next day appointment online. Should have read Susan T. 's review. The tech was here for total of 20-25 minutes, replaced a small section of a pipe on my water heater. Asked the price of the piece he said $50. My bill was well over $400!!! Give me a BREAK!! That means the labor was $400 for 20 or so minutes!! Then had the nerve to tell me it would have been the same price if he had been here for 6 or 8 hours..These guys are a TOTAL RIP OFF!!! 0 stars won't even give them 1. Calling the better business bureau too.
Called Roto Rooter because our water pressure was down to just a trickle. Was told a plumber would arrive within 2 hours. He arrived 3 hours later. His initial estimate was a little under $600. Seven hours later, the final bill was over $1700, $1500 of which was LABOR!!!! Plumber kept 'finding' additional issues throughout the evening and didn't leave until almost 11p.m. He only fixed our first floor issues - I didn't want him staying any longer.Spoke to management a few days later and was told that's just the way it is. I told them I would not use them or recomment them and was told that they are a national company, so that was no big deal either.
Called another local plumber to do the same thing to our upstairs bathroom - the total bill was only $350 and he did it in 2 hours.
