Duane R.I was given a two hour window for the tech to call me, and they called me just past two hours - not great, but not too bad either. The primary issue is that they wanted me to sign a document saying that I would be responsible for any costs related to them damaging their own equipment while doing work at my house. Seriously? Nope, not going to happen no matter how many times you tell me it is "common practice" to do this. It is NOT common practice nor should it be. Be careful what you sign!
Ed Alan D.Arrived a little early, had estimate done very quickly and had my drains opened fast. Very friendly and everything cleaned up and were gone within an hour. Highly recommend this company for canyon lake Texas area. Can't remember both techs names but George and his partner were both great. Thanks for the speedy service. Ed
Mike C.This is a dishonest company that overcharged my family to repair a pipe. They also tried to cheat us for more money. Do not work with them!
Suzanne N.My elderly parents called me last night complaining a clogged kitchen sink drain that they had not been able to get unclogged despite their best efforts. Since I live 250 miles away, I decided to just schedule a plumber for them and pay for it myself. I made the mistake of scheduling with Roto-Rooter in San Marcos, lured by a $60 off coupon. The plumber arrived as scheduled and told my folks that it would cost $250 if it was just the P trap, or $379 if he had to snake the drain. Those prices are highway robbery, but the guy was already there, and we had the $60 off coupon, so I agreed. When it was time to pay, he said that the $250 price had already taken the $60 off (it was just the P trap). I tried to argue, but when I got him on the phone he told ME that Roto-Rooter's flat price to unclog a drain is $379, but that HE had reduced it to $250, and that Roto-Rooter gave their technicians leeway to do that, and since he'd already taken off more than $60, the coupon was already applied. Yeah, right! After he told my folks that it was $250 if it was just the P trap - which is ridiculous in and of itself. I could've fixed it myself in 30 minutes with just a bucket and some towels. No tools required. I feel that this amounts to false advertising and have asked to be refunded the $60. I'll revise the review if the company makes it right.
Neil O.Absolutely terrible dispatch service who couldn't even take my address down correctly and rude customer service agent. Not a good start to building a relationship with new customers.
Bernardo E.Our toilet flooded some time while we were out of town. I did a quick search and found Roto-Rooter. I Called the company, got in touch with Brian and Ronnie within minutes. They arrived to my home within shortly after. Immediately they began working on my home no questions asked. Ronnie arranged for my valuables to be packed and stored. After my home was restored they unpacked all my contents and even dealt with the insurance company on their end. I am so thankful I found them!!!! Ronnie took care of everything!!! I give them A+++
These people do not show up on time or they just don't show up at all. First time they came out about 6 hours after promised and we thought the clog was fixed, the next day the person was supposed to come out with a camera to inspect the line and no one showed up despite repeated assurances someone would be here between 2-4pm, and today I was promised before 10am because the clog is not fixed, then before 1pm, now it's almost 2:30 an no one here.
Patrice J.Daniel came a this morning to fix a leak said part of issue was backed up drain which he was unable to snake, left called jaime who used camera and said daniel needed to come back and use a 1/4 cable . waited till 4 , he returned saying he did not have that cable demanded payment for leak(which i just found out wasn't fixed) and then told me i would have to pay an additional 360 to have another plumber snake the drain. never, never use these guys. worthless and a waste of your time and money.
This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. RUDENESS from whoever the receptionist was. No show day of scheduled appointment then re scheduled and No show AGAIN!! Waste of my day and time!! Horrible work ethic. Definitely DO NOT recommend this place unless you want to waste your time. Look elsewhere for plumbing needs. Recommend looking at actual professional that are reliable and follow through with scheduled appointment. If you still decide to contact them for plumbing needs.. you've been forewarned. No stars for this place!! Enough said
Katina J.I've truly been waiting to do a review on my service. I recently contacted Roto-Rooter about a water hammer and dishwasher drainage issue I was having in a home I recently bought. My plumbing technician, Joe, was really nice and informative. (The star is for Joe's customer service (great!!).
He immediately went to check the PRV at my main intake for the home. It was partially buried, so he did some digging and replaced it. He also reset the pressure and added a pressure release tank to my hot water heater. Unfortunately, this did not resolve my water hammer. As for the dishwasher, he checked it and couldn't find anything wrong with it, but he did explain that the line should have an 'S' curve in it. Joe explained to us how we should go about putting the 'S' curve in it. $1347 later and our main problem...the water hammer, is still a main problem.
I actually called back after we kept hearing the hammer and another tech was sent out. Even after the second technician came out...he was unable to rectify the problem. To date there is still a water hammer, but I do have a nice and expensive new main PRV.
