John did a fantastic job.Showed up at the time we were promised. He diagnosed the problem with the snake camera and showed my wife what the issue was. (I was at a Dr appt.) He walked her through what needed to be done and gave a perfectly fair estimate for the work and did it all the same day. Answered all our questions and even left his cell if we had any problems. Were both very happy. Yes it was a chunk of change but we feel it was a fair price and we're paying for knowledge and skill so it was totally worth it. You rock John. Thank you.

We had a new counter top installed in our kitchen. Unfortunately the new sink did not line up with the piping underneath. We called several plumbers and they wanted a fee to show up and provide an estimate and the earliest we could get someone was 2 days out.
Roto-Rooter came out that afternoon and the estimate was free. The technician was professional and gave us an estimate. We accepted and he checked his vehicle for the parts needed and told us he was short a critical part and would have to come back in the morning. He then looked at his watch and found that if he hurried he could get the part that day from the supply house.
He did a great job and cleaned up after himself. I would recommend their service to anyone. We are in Cumberland RI and they are out of Providence. The wait for the tech to arrive was minimal.

We called Roto-Rooter after discovering that most likely we had pipes that had frozen and burst throughout the house resulting in no heat and water in the middle of this brutal winter. The guys (Jim H and Ed L) that came out were personable and professional and completed the job over a 3 day spread. They answered our many questions and took their time in explaining the problems and possible future solutions. We felt secure with them completing the job. The only downside would be the premium pricing and confusion over scheduling. I would call them again for future needs.

This service was a joke at best. I had a horrible clog in my kitchen that after opening the trap and one of the caps that lets you access the pipes...I realized it was after the pipes went into the wall. I didn't feel comfortable.
I called Roto-Rooter and they said they'd be there between 8 and 10. Then called at 9:50 and said they couldn't make it tonight. Whatever, understandable, it was late.
They came at 8am the following morning and I explained what I had done and why I called them. They told me it would be $458 to snake my drain.
I can't afford that and told them so. They offered to sell me their glorified drano for $59 for a gallon bottle. I took it...because I had to try something.
Then after paying, they told me if it doesn't work (it didn't) to call them and they could knock the price down to $399...coincidentally exactly $59 less than the original quote. Somehow I don't feel like them ""coming down"" on the price was as much a favor to me as they tried to make it out to be.

The entire experience felt like a scam, from the initial call to how the guys acted once getting here. Apparently my father got a drain snaked a few months ago for under $200.

On the plus side, I'm more comfortable working on my own plumbing now.

Positive experience. The technician was professional, thorough and explained the entire process, including the estimate. The office provided updates on the techs exact arrival time. Price was high for a clogged toilet, but given the prompt, late-night response, no complaints.

I called for a clogged main line, the crew showed up within at timely fashion and were very professional. They answered any questions I had with great knowledge. My service tech was Enea DeSimone Jr (technician # 7435). They found the clog quickly with their drain camera and cabled it once they found the issue, and then used the camera again to be sure it was clear. They were very thorough, clean and efficient.

Finding water everywhere in a bathroom and cellar of a newly purchased home is not a great way to end a day. I called Roto Rooter at 8:30pm. The woman on the other end of the phone was wonderful. I had them come out the next morning first thing. Two gentlemen showed up; both clean, professional, and personable. They took the time to listen to me, to look at everything, and then explain to me what they would be doing. It took awhile but they got the clog and my plumbing is flowing. Happy with the service. The price was reasonable especially considering the mess I could have had. I will call again. Great job!!

Based on the work done, this would have been two stars. However, it made it to three due to the quickness of the service call. I called on a Sunday, and they came within an hour. That was an awesome response which I appreciated. However, that is when things went down hill as far as i was concerned. The plumber (who's name I didn't catch. He didn't introduce himself) was very impersonal and wasn't easy to talk to. He didn' have to diagnose the issue (we already knew we needed two new bathroom faucets installed, which we had already purchased and had ready to go. He came up with a price that I thought was way too high, but I went with the service. (Later in the day, I asked some friends who told me I way overpaid). Even with the premium of immediate service, I thought it was still too high. Anyway, he did the job well, but what was should have taken an hour took over three hours. He did clean up afterwards, but the price was high and the service slow.

I did receive a follow-up call from customer service after this review was published, which I really appreciate. They wanted to do what they could to keep me as a customer which went above and beyond normal service.
