DO NOT trust their word or their work.

Rude managers and techs who refuse to do work even when shown paperwork they gave us that states a 6 month guarantee unless we paid them another $500 plus to clear pipes that they should've already cleared on their first two trips (that never fixed the issue).

When we questioned this, the tech, Jordan, used the ole let me call my manager, Joesph Nixon.

The manager gave the tech the run around and said to check multiple things that were all excuses to not do any work. He left. Not one thing done.

To top it We called them at 8:30 pm and a tech didn't show up until almost midnight....once he arrived, he spent most of the 45 mins he was here outside on the phone with his manager. We asked to speak directly to the manager and he told the tech that he could call first thing in the morning. Basically, he was done for the night and to screw us.

Save your $, and save your time....Choose someone else.

NEVER NEVER NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They are crooks and their management has 0 customer service... waited 4 hours for someone to come out (for a third time for the same problem). Jordan the tech came out and told me the septic system ""didn't look right"" and he wouldn't do any work on it even though half of the stuff in my house that uses the septic system is still working just fine (it seemed like he didn't want to do it) So I asked to talk to his manager Joseph Nixon and after all my waiting and all my trouble all night (it's 1:30 am) he didn't even have the decency to talk to me told me he would call me back in the morning... now I have to turn the water to the whole house off to make sure the toilet doesn't flood my kitchen again... literally worked with these people 3 times they are terrible this company should be shut down can't even do the things they guaranteed (a 6 month guarantee on my drain that they refused to work on) USE L.E. ISLEY much better people and an all around better company

What can I say? I had a flood. It wasn't my fault, yet here I am days later with half a floor and a shiny new brass pipe in the laundry room wall. And who do you call Sunday evening (of course it was a Sunday) but Roto Rooter? In supposedly a serendipitous twist, the Roto Rooter sent a water clean up guy rather than a plumber, who thankfully knew basic plumbing as well and could stop the flooding. He then explained that my flood was worse than I realized and so I called my insurance and the rest is a water mitigation experience. The service was great and I think they did a thorough and high quality job. My issue with Roto Rooter, however, is twofold: 1) the plumber they sent the next day to actually fix the issue did not speak a word of English. That on its face does not bother me at all. But when you've had a flood and want to know what happened and why, and you need to explain what the symptoms were, it is basically impossible when you don't speak a similar language. 2) The guy they sent to do the daily moisture readings in my condo overstayed every time. What could have been a 5 minute job took at least 20 minutes, most of which was filled with small talk that he perpetuated. I learned about a flood he had, about his girlfriend, about his past in the military and his mentally challenged cats. I learned how much money he makes and how his income compares to the other people he works with. I learned the cost of the sensors he he uses to detect moisture and also generally how they work. I felt like he was hitting on me, but he also kept mentioning his girlfriend, so maybe it really was just small talk. Given that I was a captive audience however - that he HAD to be there and I HAD to be home when he was there, every day for a week, it was exasperating. That last night - Friday - he must've stayed an hour, taking his sweet time carrying out the fans and talking to me in between trips. I was passively aggressively cussing at my dog (who always barked at him) and growing very frustrated by the time he finally left. So while I recommend Roto Rooter, you might prepare yourself with a translator and a strong sense of personal boundaries when you call them.

Beware this company will screw you out of your money, like it did me. I watched first half an hour as the guy struggled to make the first bend with the snake, he never got past 10 feet and when he said he was done said he went 140 feet which is all he had. I said bullshit because I could see the snake roll at all times. 10 ft cost me over $400. This company should be shut down, crooks are apparently running it.

Quick service, but they wanted us to pay $750 to have our garbage disposal replaced. Save yourself $650 and buy one for $100 at Lowe's.

Needed an outdoor water spigot replaced. New spigot, 6 feet of pipe, and one shut off valve inside. I was quoted $400.00 for parts. $400.00 for labor. $800.00 total

I already had a quote for $425.00 for everything from another plumber. When I explained this to him, his price suddenly dropped to $600.00. I promptly declined and voila, price dropped to $500.00.

This business seems like it operates on the principal of how much can I charge and get away with it. Very dishonest to say the least. I expect a firm price for services, not an exercise in let's make a deal.

Called the other plumber, and he knocked it out in 45 min. Try Bob the Plumber, priced me up front. Fair and honest guy.

This is an update. After originally being charged 433 dollars for labor on a job that took less than an hour I was irate, and I wrote the company, called the company, and got no response or help. then I wrote a 1 star review here and guess what, I got a call. They said I was overcharged and offered to refund us 200 dollars back. 233 for an hour of work is expensive, but at least in the realm of fair. So for that I am satisfied. On the flip side, customer service should have taken care of us without the public shaming that is a poor review. My guess is everyone is charged 433 and then they expect to pay back the 5-10 percent of people that complain publicly. Unfortunate. A otherwise reputable company such as Roto-rooter should hold themselves to a higher standard.
