I called Sunday for same day appt it was immediately changed though it showed available. Scheduled for next day by Tiffany. She then calls me an hour prior to appt and states plumber has emergency and needs to schedule for yesterday morning I agree. We go over cost and even after changing appt last minute refused to honor coupon and veteran discount together. The appt is then scheduled for the first thing Tuesday morning 8-10a. I waited and called at 12p and not only does Tiffany get rude and snippy she then states plumber had emergency and they can come after. Well, why would I need to call after appt time and then you come with this energy? DO NOT USE ROTO ROOTER unless you want time wasted, a rude customer service experience, and no work done.

whatever plumber that came out is rude and worthless!! Came out, gave us a quote and without saying anything just up and left. didn't even put back the cover to the main drain. called back And whoever That female was that answered the phone wasn't any help at all either. Never again!!

In May 16 my sewer backed up. Several years ago I had used Roto Rooter and had been very satisfied. I called and they showed up the next day. They got the standing water to go and I paid $200. Two days later I had a terrible smell in our shower. They came out again and said they needed the ""big"" snake. That was $244. It supposedly came w a 6 me nth warranty. On May 27 once again our shower (same vicinity as the backed up sewer) smelled horrible This time they were going to use water to clean the drain. Turned out they didn't have their water jet so they decided to use their fiber optic camera to see the issue. That was $344. They couldn't find the issue again but were willing to use the water jet for $799.
On the first day their plumber said their was a 6 month guarantee Not only was there no guarantee they have decided not to do anything
That's when I found Roto Rooter had been sold. Guess new management just doesn't care. After over $700 I called a reliable plumber. Be careful. They won't stand behind their work!

Roto-Rooter is not a reliable company. Took two trips to repair a ceiling leak resulting in six days with limited water usage (Note - they don't work nights or weekends). We were charged for two separate visits even though the same pipeline was ""repaired"" (first at an elbow we aren't convinced was leaking and then less than two feet above the elbow at the shutoff valve that was concealed by some plywood and the support beam until it was removed during the second visit). The plumber really should have verified the leak was repaired on the first visit before leaving instead of just replacing the exposed elbow. Also have the cost of running fans and a dehumidifier for six days (running 24 hours a day) due to the repair not being made on the first visit.

5 stars for Tyler! He was knowledgeable, friendly, professional and followed Covid 19 safety protocols.

We had a clogged sink for the last 4 days and tried everything Google recommended to fix it. Needless to say, everything we tried failed.

Our technician Tyler arrived promptly and kept in communication with us, so as not to disturb our schedules. He asked us several questions on our sink and had it fixed in record time. I highly recommend this company, especially if they are staffed with more employees like him. I definitely will be calling them again if we have an issues in the future.

Tyler was very professional and very sweet! He helped us out with a clog that seemed that was impossible to fix! During these tough times safety is very important to me and he wore a mask the entire time. Tyler deserves a raise or a promotion if he hasn't had one already!

I'm not sure if this is the same Roto rooter that did the work on my house but Roto router is Roto rooter
This is from a while ago I was gonna let it go I felt bad for the guy but I just can't let it go anymore the problem is getting worse and worse when he took the toilet off he didn't drain it so all the water went all over my wood floors and he did nothing to clean it up now my floors are warped I would've cleaned it up but I don't hover I didn't know until it was too late
Now my wood floor is lifting and splintering
And is ruined
Then I ended up having to redo the plumbing in the front where he could not replace my artificial grass properly and they left a big huge hole in my concrete and didn't replace it
I feel like you're not supposed to do that the plumbing is fixed but the job is not finished and for $7500 that huge hole should have been filled

The worst customer service experience ever. They never showed up to my home on the scheduled day, nor did they call! I called them to ask if they were still coming and i was told by Rena that some how i was forgotten. But Rena was nice and she did waive the fees. So i called the following day, because they never showed up again, I spoke with someone name Nancy. She was very rude. She had absolutely no customer service skills. I'm not going to pay you and deal with poor customer service. So therefore, I canceled services with roto and I went with another company. I would never use them or recommend their services to anyone. Word of mouth is a powerful tool and u just lost me as a customer and u lost my recommendation for future customers . The company was located in Birmingham, mi .

Service cost was extremely inflated in my opinion, but my technician was amazing, which motivated me to write a review. If there is an employee of the year, it should be Ed! He was kind and helpful, patient with my curious 9-year old and extremely friendly dog, explained things clearly and was generous with his time and help. If I use the company again it will be because of Ed!
