Called and setup an appointment on Friday. Was told a plumber would arrive between 5:30-8pm. No call, no show. Called in the morning around 8am. I was told someone would on their way. Around noon, I was told the plumbers truck has broken down and they would send someone out right away. I told them to cancel, as I already had someone on their way. The other company showed up within hours. Terrible experience with Roto-Rooter.

Additionally, I emailed corporate and received a response that said ""contact the franchise"". Not even an apology.

Roto rooter is truly the only 24/7 plumbing service. During the day we had noticed that toilets were bubbling slightly and the sinks were draining slowly. Per property management we had called numerous plumbing companies they use who claim to offer free inspections and all of them had me on hold only to tell me there would be a service charge to diagnose the issue and/or that they have no plumber to send today.
At 10pm my family had noticed sewage coming up in the bathtub while showering and that the toilets overflowing onto the bathroom floor. We called rapid first plumbing as managements emergency plumbing guys who were supposed to offer 24/7 service only to be told that they no longer take calls for emergency services after 9pm. We were devastated knowing that we could not have it fixed and we couldn't wait for tomorrow for their guys and not use the bathroom or shower.
I called 1-800 get-roto and after about a 10 min wait I spoke with customer service at 11 or 12pm and they had Tommy McNutt at my house within 20 minutes. They sent me a text message and e mail with the plumbers photo and details of my appointment.
Thank you roto rooter and a special thank you to Tommy the plumber who had fixed the problem and for promising to come back for free if it happens again within 1 yr. F@#k yeah!

I had a very difficult stoppage issue where the master bedroom tub, toilet, and sink were backed up in the back of the house. Additionally, I could not find a ground clean out so technician would have to remove toilet to snake area.

A big shout to Steve Pacheco!!! I had 3 technicians whom visited my house and he was the only one who immediately found my ground clean out. Thus, toilet did not have to be removed! Additionally, he was very patient and diligent in cleaning out the stubborn clog in my system. I highly recommend anyone using Roto Rooter to ask for Steve for difficult jobs.

This is the second time I called them before one, and this is the second time they called me after 5 to tell me they couldn't make it to the scheduled time that day and will need to come a different day.

Really irritating since everyone closes at 5 so I can't even get someone scheduled.

I'm sure they do this to keep you waiting on them and unable to get a new person.

Not anymore, won't use them again.

DO NOT use this company, they over charged our renter to unclog a toilet, they were taken advantage of. Any other company would have charged $600.00 less then Roto Rooter. My next call is going to be BBB.

Had a tech come out to fix a drain and change a cartridge for a leaky bathtub. First a field manager came out and gave me incorrect information about being able to repair my disconnected drain along with the cartridge. The tech came out and said he couldn't touch the drain, doing so would cost an extra 250. He was there just for the leaky bathtub. I then called the manager for clarification. He was argumentative and interrupted me throughout the call.

Next day, I get an invoice from them to send to my home warranty for reimbursement. The home warranty needed more information, and it took 5 separate calls before they sent the correct one.

After all that, it turned out the tech installed the cartridge backwards in the tub. I get a four hour window of time where I need to be home for a tech to come back and fix it.

Root-rooter quoted a price of $600 to replace the three valve stems in our bath/shower, which is ridiculous. They said it would take 45 mins per valve stem. Total rip off. Called another plumber and got it done for $175 plus parts. Took less than an hour total.

Don't even think about calling them! My elderly mother had a clogged kitchen drain and a backed up washing machine drain which flooded her house. They arrived very promptly and opened up the clean out pipe and solved the initial issue in the kitchen charging us $295. We were told that the washing machine drain was cleared as well. 2 days later we got around to using the washing machine. Leaving the house as the washing machine was on, we came home to a flooded house with saturated carpeting and soaked upholstered furniture.

I called roto rooter once again and they came out later that evening. They never bothered to check the washer drain that we also originally complained about. The plumber snaked a camera through the clean out drain and told us that the drain out pipe was corroded, narrowed, cracked and needed replacement. We were told that a trench needed to be dug through the cement foundation of the house through the laundry room and into the bathroom. They quoted a price of $18,800! I told them we couldn't afford that and they charged us $485 for the camera scope. None of this passed the smell test for me! All the other drains were running ok and there was no evidence of a failing main drain. I called out another plumber recommended by a neighbor who cleared out the washer drain for a charge of $100. I told him about the roto rooter quote and he agreed with me that there was not evidence of drain failure and they were attempting to rip us off!!
