Drain clogged, called Roto-Rooter, Easy and Reasonably priced. Was on time and problem went down the drain. If I need help in the future I will definitely call Roto-Rooter again.

I had a problem with my toilet on Easter and Roto-Rooter had a technician at my condo within the hour to fix it. I only have 1 toilet at home, so it was a big relief to have the problem taken care of so quickly. Foster was the technician and he was very polite and took care of the problem immediately. Plumbing problems can be very frustrating and it's great to know that I can always count on Roto-Rooter to take care of the problem!

Our sump pump gave out on a Saturday night and although we called a dozen companies of all sizes, many who said they gave 24/7 service, and left messages for the others; RotoRooter was the ONLY company to have someone answer the phone, which they did immediately, set the appointment, and sent me a detailed confirmation by email. The other companies never even called back today (it's 18 hours later) What kind of emergency/weekend service is that?

So we were glad the Roto-Rooter plumber came out (Pat, I think), installed a new sump in the foot of water (the old one was 13 years old and had broken down before), and drilled a tiny hole in the PVC pipe per the installation instructions, which should have been done by whoever installed the old one or those who've serviced it but wasn't. We have a hydraulic backup pump to install but we appreciate that he told us he didn't have the right hookup equipment and experience (honesty) but tried to contact other RR guys who did. Polite, nice guy.

The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is that we called on Sat at 11pm and while they said they could get someone here between 9-11 am, they pushed it back to 1-2 pm. The water was getting close to our furnace opening. But they were the ONLY company to respond, so I would use them for scheduled repairs and would definitely give them another shot at emergencies.

My girlfriend moved into a rental home in Livingston, NJ. Several days later she noticed the drains backing up and called her landlord who, in turn, called Roto Rooter in Somerset who also serves Livingston. After replacing part of the sewer line that goes to the street, the technician informed us that the entire thing would need to be replaced. In retrospect, I am sure that it did. However, the charge for the work was over $26,000. That's right, for less than a day's work, they charged her what I later found out was a ridiculous fee. The length of pipe was probably about 30 feet and needed to be tied into the main sewer line but the work was completed in one day.

Since I wasn't paying for it and we needed it done quickly, I really didn't care what they charged. However, we had a similar problem in my office the following week and the company that came out said that in 50 years of business the only time they did a job that expensive was a line over 100 yards long that took them close to a week. They estimated the job at $6,000 max. Complete rip off.

This was our second time using Roto-Rooter and just like the first time they were great!! Called in the morning when we discovered the problem and had Pat out around 1030ish, just as they told my mom at the initial call. Plus, the office called one more time around 9 to confirm and say it was probably more like 11. They maintain contact and keep you up to date. Pat was great, very kind and welcoming to questions. He knew before he walked in the door what the problem appeared to be. We are very happy with the service we received and our questions were answered with confidence and quickly. No sarcasm or condescending tones, unlike other servicemen I've dealt with. I would recommend RR for any plumbing problems. They are fast and efficient. Great Job Pat!!! Thank you!!!!

Came quickly. Resolved the clog in a timely manner. The technician was very polite and friendly and not pushy.

Needed a hot water heater replaced. The earliest they could come out was the next day. The plumber was friendly, got the work done in within his estimated time frame, and cleaned up after himself. Overall I was satisfied with his work.

The receptionist answered the phone was very nice.

They called 30 minutes before the appointment.

The kitchen sink was unclogged in less than 30 minutes. The tech PJ was courteous, professional.

The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 is because the service was much more expensive than a plumber would charge. My plumber would charge less than 200 if he could unclog it.

My pipe burst in my garage due to the cold weather and poor insulation these townhouses have. It's Sunday afternoon so Roto-Rooter came right out within 1 hr. The pipe was 1/2"" and the split was 1/2"" long so he cut a 12"" section out and soldered a new piece in about 15 min. now the pipe was exposed already no wall breaking. The tech was great but the price for that repair floored me a whopping $340.00 With coupon and tax came to $259.00, the tech apologized for the price but not his fault he did a great job. I liked the arrival time but I will not call them again unless I'm desperate.
