This was a horrible expensive experience. From their arrival Yaniv B. from the Cranbury site was cold, dismissive, and short. He said that he unclogged the drain in the basement but couldn't give a guarantee because we would use tissue again. Tissue?! Scam # 1 He advised us to dig up the ground and get new pipes which would cost 7-10K scam #2. When I asked him to drain the backed up sewage basin he said he didn't have the tools for that. He did not offer to send someone else, to go get the tools, or reschedule for a future appointment. This was one of the main reasons for the flooding. And because of his neglect it remained flooded and backed up two days later. He then stated someone would call for clean up which never happened. This is insane treatment for a $600 job, even for a $6 job. I'll never use this company again nor recommend them. Beware of racist and brash Roto-Rooter techs.
Very rude service. Wished I could give zero star. I asked to call me when he's 5 minutes away. He didn't call 5 min away and gave a rude attitude. Didn't want to try to find out what the problem may be of my kitchen sink and just stated a quote. When we mentioned we would consider, he turned and walked away angrily without saying anything to us. Never calling this company again.
Not recommended. Charges $100 just to look and not fix. Robotic company that only wants to collect from customers. Unwilling to offer discount at least. Staff was robotic in responding. Call another company unless you don't mind robots and throwing away money.
Find a different company or suffer like I did, these plumbers don't know nothing about plumbing and I'm not a plumber... Everybody knows the toilet is not suppose to shake, but for these guys yes it is lol... my new plumber laughed at the job these people did lol.. it's sad though cause I lost a lot of money using them and they weren't cheap.
Tom P.Friday, September 2, 2022. Had an emergency at a Hotel which I will not name, 15:45hr we had a major backup on the main line with a full house. Michael showed up with his water jetter, I met him outside thinking there would be an attitude being Friday night. Michael was most professional tech we had here in a while. He would even answer my stupid questions without hesitating. Not only did he clear the pipe in minutes, he stayed and fished a few crunched up plastic bottles there were 6ft. down the pipe. After cleanup he even stayed longer to disgust the situation. He is an asset to the company which i hope they are aware of.

Stay away from Roto Rooter! I hired them to snake a toilet and do water remediation/cleanup work. They cleared the clog in my sewer line that had caused my toilet to overflow, but they broke a water main pipe in the process of doing water remediation work! There was water pouring out the main for 30 mins into my house until the water company arrived to shut off the water from outside the house! Roto Rooter tried to say they were not responsible, but I made sure they repaired the water main pipe for free. After some pushback, a few weeks later I also got them to fix the additional water damage they caused to my foyer and 2 storage closet due to the water main they broke.
Roto Rooter also claimed they found 2 breaks in my sewer line when they snaked the toilet. They said they would need to dig through my living room to fix the issue. Luckily, I got 2 other plumbers to give me another opinion and they found the break were under my neighbor's house instead. If I went with Roto Rooter they would have dug through my living room only to find out the issue was next door!
Stay away from this company! They have inexperienced technicians who make mistakes diagnosing problems and create new problems (e.g. break your water main and cause flooding damage to your house!)! Every plumber I've spoken to since has told me Roto Rooter creates work for them due to all the mistakes they make on their jobs! Steer clear!
Ernie O.Won't give the slightest estimate for a simple slow moving bathtub drain to be cleared, than after wasting a 4 hour window.. the estimate was $575. Looking at 1.5 hrs of work!? Criminal
David B.I recommend that you avoid this company at all costs. After our old sump pump failed last year and our basement flooded, we hired them to replace our sump pump. A little over a year later, and... the sump pump they installed failed, so our basement flooded again. They couldn't come for two days and when they arrived they said that they only replace their own sump pumps within the same year if they fail (even though the manufacturer's warranty is three years). It takes weeks to get a new one from the manufacturer, so instead of just replacing ours and waiting the few weeks to get their reimbursement, they wanted us to pay for an entirely new sump pump. And, on top of that, they gave us a 4 hour window that they would arrive -- and they came almost 2 hours late. Just terrible service and quality all around. So, not only do we have thousands of dollars of water damage from their faulty pump, but they wanted us to pay them for a new sump pump after they came two days later and then still showed up late to the appointment time to replace their own sump pump that had failed...
The technician came out, charged us $330 to snake the clogged pipe and claimed he could not find a clog up to 80 feet into our line. We called a local plumber the next day, and he was able to find a very large clog from 24 feet to 72 feet in the exact spot the rotorooter plumber didn't see anything less than 24 hours prior. The technician and manager were extremely unhelpful saying obviously they did it right and the problem must be our pipe. Very unhappy with their service. Do not recommend at all.
I had a clogged drain in bath tub. All other drains were fine. Can you guess how much they quoted to clean one drain? $5...7...0... dollars. $570 dollars!
Are you guys serious.
Do i need to write any more?
