Our kitchen faucet started leaking so we called to see if it could be repaired. The individual that came said it could not be repaired and that it would cost $400 for labor to change it out, plus another $200 or $300 for a new faucet. $400 for 30 minutes of labor?!?!?! That is completely ridiculous.

Horrible. Nice to you in the beginning. After while you can't even reach the project manger. We had some water mitigation issues, had to reach out because fans were left on for over a week.
and response I get, ""yeah, please turn off the fans"" lack of professionalism, oversight.

There are AT LEAST 3 separate Yelp listed Roto-Rooter businesses within the Kansas City area. It is hard to know which one YOU are working with. No matter which one you are looking at here on Yelp they all have have substantial but varying negative reviews...and those reviews are responded to by the same 'business managers' from Chicago. Given that these Yelp reviews for several differing Yelp business listings are all handled by the same corporate managers.... I'll leave reviews at as many of these as possible to that you the consumer will BEWARE! They won't quote even general pricing over the phone but will assess in person at no charge. They will book your appointment for a specific date/time only to delay substantially until you are desperate. They will then arrive and quote approximately twice the 'typical' or expected already high fee but will quickly reduce that quote (only marginally) if you balk. They will instill fear involving other potential (but non-sensical) problems within your underground plumbing systems while completing your line clearing and let you know that they will need to send a 'field supervisor' to quote you for additional unnecessary repairs. This is a scam as 'old-as-time' and I feel very sorry for unsuspecting, elderly, or desperate consumers who are being raked by a company like this. Have no doubts that Roto-Rooter is NOT the right choice. Save yourself and call ANY locally owned drain clearing or plumbing professional before you give these scam-artists your business.

I can't say enough good things about this company. I left a 5 star review for Aaron on Google, but was not able to leave anymore. I work for a water restoration company and while gutting a bathroom, a chuck of plaster fell and broke the supply line to the toilet. I called roto rooter and they sent Jonathon out. He was extremely friendly, and fixed it in no time! Today at 2:00pm, the pipe broke in a different spot, so I called Roto Rooter. They said they could have someone out in a couple hours. I really didn't want to wait 2 hours plus the time to fix it, because I have to place the drying equipment after they're done. I called every plumber on the first 2 pages on Google and a couple places said it would be 3 hours before a someone could come out, but the rest of them said they were booked until Tuesday. I called Roto Rooter back to schedule emergency services and I was so happy when they informed me Eric was in the area and was on his way. This is a holiday weekend and Eric went above and beyond to really help us out. He replaced the entire line with a copper line. So far, all the plumbers that Roto Rooter sent out to us has been extremely friendly. If your looking for a great plumbing company then give Roto Rooter of Overland Park a call!

Needed a bathroom sink unclogged. They came out and quoted over 300.00. I searched the web and got it done for 49.00. Crazy high price from Roto. Shop around before going with Roto.

Some sketch employee came and quoted me some insane amount then proceeded to continue to add to the quote by thousands every few minutes. Started at 1500$ then within 10 mins turned into a 10k$ job. But then offered to do it for 3500$ cash on the side- if I waited for his day off.... Very unprofessional, I was super uncomfortable, and now I don't know what the actual true quote is. Liars and thieves, better watch your back and your wallet.

Upstairs shower clogged so called. Trevor came by within the scheduled time. snaked the line through the bathroom sink since it was connected to the shower drain after he left I checked and the drain was still clogged called back in at 10pm for a reschedule got a call from the company giving me an ETA Trevor came back the next day and resnaked the shower again.This time it was successful. He was courteous and respectful
No sure about the company price was a bit high but would use Trevor again. Great job Trevor Thanks

We had a sudden back up of our kitchen sink. I called Roto-Rooter thinking that they would have afairly standard price and reliable service. Sure enough they could come out the same day for which I was grateful. When they looked at the sink they said it would be $429 which I thought was awfully expensive but again I felt it was Roto-Rooter and they would charge me a fair price. How wrong I was. After they cleaned the sink which took a total of 15 minutes which also included five minutes to try to get me to install a sink shut off valve underneath the sink for another $400 they left. (Have you guessed at this point that I am a senior citizen. No excuse but I do feel like it played a factor) I googled how much the average kitchen sink unclogging was. I found out that it really should not have been any more than $250 and that Roto rooter often has a Groupon for $99 in many cities. I feel like I was totally ripped off. I called them after they left and complained. They asked if I had signed a preapproval, which I had stupidly. They said they would call me back within an hour and surprise surprise no call back. I will never use Roto-Rooter again and I am so disappointed in the quality of their customer service. I can't believe they charged around double for a very simple repair.

I had a clogged garbage disposal that wouldn't turn on. They were able to send someone out the same day - within a couple of hours! - to fix it. The price ($375) seemed exorbitant, but I do appreciate the speedy service and that my garbage disposal is now functioning great.

Never showed! I had an appointment on a Sunday afternoon between 12:00-2:00. Around 4:00 on Sunday I received a call saying they hadn't forgotten about me and would be coming later. Around 6:00 I received another call saying they couldn't make it that day, but the next day would be for sure someone could come between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. I left work early to make sure I'd be home, but 7:00 came and went. I called and while on hold, got a call from the company telling me they couldn't make the time slot and didn't know when they would be able to reach me.

Very disappointed to have put off trying to get someone else in to fix the problem. Lesson learned: Don't trust Roto-Rooter when they say they've booked an appointment for you.
