Recommended Customer Reviews

I give Roto-Rooter two stars for speed of coming to my house to fix my plumbing issue. However the cost to do the repair was excessive. I was told it would take a day to a day and half to do the repair. The actual time was three hours. When I called about adjusting the bill because of the tIme from repair, I spoke to two people and neither called me back.

I really don't like to give bad reviews but I've been consistently calling this company to resolve an issue that they created for weeks and still no response. I had a tub issue where the handle was broken back in June. The plumber that came out responded quickly and switched out the fixture in a few hours the next day. Fast forward to the first week of November, where I realized our ceiling had water damage due to a leaking tub from the changed fixture from a few months ago. I left a message over the weekend and that following Monday, Michael, the regional manager came over to inspect the issue. He assured us that he held his company responsible and will fix the issue. One of his technicians was able to tighten the tub fixture and we were told to monitor the issue. 3 days have passed and we haven't seen any drips, so we called back a few times to figure out what is next steps. They then sent someone to look at the water damage and then that person left. Again, no follow up! I had to take the initiative to call a few times and they then sent someone to set up a dehumidifier to remove the water moisture from the ceiling. Someone came over two days afterwards to pick up the unit and that's the last I've heard from them. This was before Thanksgiving. It's been 2.5 weeks now and I've been calling and calling, and no one can give me the common courtesy to pick up or respond to my phone calls. My tub has been exposed for over 6 weeks with the tile slab removed and it's just sitting in my bedroom. I don't dare to seal it back up because I still have an entire brown spot on my ceiling! It looks like customer service is quite active here, and I would love to see if someone can better assist me.

Terrible Service. I originally had an appointment scheduled in a window from 8-12. I was informed at 430 pm that day they could not send someone out. I was reschedule again, and they again cancelled the appointment.

We had a plumbing issue on Wednesday evening and called Roto-Rooter. They advised that someone would be there between 6pm-10pm. They kept us informed on the progress of the plumber the entire time and soon we realised that it was getting quite late and even if the plumber did come after 10pm, it would be just be quite late to do anything. So we re-scheduled for the next morning. They advised the plumber would be there between 8am-10am. The plumber arrived after 8. His name is George Hardin. What a pleasant guy! He explained the issue to me and explained to me in detail what he was going to do, etc. I found it all quite useful as I have no clue when it comes to plumbing. He was meticulous about not leaving any mess considering it was a plumbing issue and fixed the problem in no time with no issues. He tried fixing the problem with a drain stick (""snake"") but realised that the problem was running through to the main line. He then had to use a huge machine (bigger snake) to get the water to flow through. He had to remove the toilet in order to succeed with the job. He managed to push through and fix it. He then put the toilet back and cleaned the bathroom with very very strong chemicals ( germs be gone!).
He left leaving the place clean and tidy. I handed him a check and he was on his way.He did tell me that the service comes with a 6 month guarantee - which is quite useful to know. if you do decide to use them, I really do hope you have the pleasure of meeting George!

The tech went out to my rental property. He did not call with the price and service needed before completing the work like I requested. I asked to be billed since I was at work with a client he said no I need a cc over the phone. Fine. I said give me 10 min let me go inside and get my credit card. He rudely said to me ""10 minutes! I'm on the clock."" Yea well so am I and you didn't even call to get approval to do the repair which would have given me a heads up to expect a payment call!!! Completely finished with roto rooter after that terrible tech. Too bad since I manage 10 rental units and they have been our go to plumber for over a year. Decent timing for them to be an ass to me though, my great local AC guy I've been with for 15 years recently recommended a plumber to me. Bye roto rooter!

Outstanding service !!!!!! I called on a Saturday at 3am and I was able to get a tech out the next day! Once here Roberto was great he gave a free diagnosis and went over the possible repairs. He then tried the first repair but found that the issue was worst than first thought. He then replaced the toilet and gave us a 1 year warranty on labor. He even tried to buy the color my wife wanted to match the bathroom decor. He did all of this in under 3 hours on a Sunday which was truly amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone that needs plumbing repairs

What a joke! How is a plumber supposed to fix drainage issues without cleaning the vents. Then, after coming back the second time to clean again, they send out the guy with a camera and he presents me with a 5500 dollar estimate to replace the drain pipes. I went to Home Depot and rented a snake and cleaned out the clog with no more problems. I don't quite understand why I paid 450 dollars for a job I ended up fixing myself.

Four hour window is a joke. What they do is string you along. They were to come between 3-7pm, then call at the end of the time window to tell me they can't even show up until the next day. At this point I can't call another plumber because it's Friday night and I will have to start all over with another company. False advertising/ bait and switch.

I was given a 4hr window for my appt, which was 5pm - 9pm. I get a call at 8:56pm advising me the plumber was still on a job and he could be at my residence in another 1-2 hrs. I cancelled it. I then received a $75 coupon, so decided to call them again. The guy came out, unprofessional, and advised it would be $300 to snake my tub. What a rip off, in addition to horrible service. Go local people!!!

Roto Rooter is IMPOSSIBLE to schedule with, unless you are able to sit at home and wait for hours. I had 4 appointments with them this week, missed 8 hours of work. They did not make a single appointment and seemed confused as to why I needed them to show up in the scheduled window of time. In addition to being unreliable with time, they were unable to clear my drain. However, the technicians who came out were very friendly.
