Shivam P.If I can give a 0 star I would ! Was explaining the situation to the management and all they did was defend the plumbers! She said I could not be rude to her while one of her employees hung up on me earlier while raising her voice too (I had to call off a different number for them to answer). They don't care for the customers at all. I have video proof (Ring) regarding the situation that roding and camera would be include in the one price we agreed on. It also was written on the paper work but told me they would charge me an extra $550 dollars for a camera inspection that takes them less than 20 minutes to do. All they do is take your money and run! Never will use this plumbing company again!
If I can give 0 stars I would. My elderly aunt had a plugged tub drain on the second floor. The service tech came out and removed the trap under the sink, rodded out the main and reinstalled the trap assembly. Not only did he leave a mess for my aunt to clean up but when my aunt went upstairs the next day she noticed water under the cabinet where he worked. She then called them back to fix the leak he caused due to him taking it apart. He then charged her another $308 to fix it! I called and talked to Christine, the manager, and I explained the situation regarding the extra charges. All she did was defend the technician. She didn't care that he didn't clean up and that the leak was caused by him taking it apart! This is a company that makes their money by hacking their work and charging the customer more money due to their own incompetence. Please beware of this company.
Just N.DO NOT USE ROTO ROOTER!!!!!
I called them out to snake a drain in my laundry room. The technician called his supervisor to come by after he was ""unable to snake the drain"". Dan Kennedy was the supervisor that came out. He told me the pipe had collapsed and needed to be dug up and replaced. He left me a quote for $5,200, plus an additional $500 to move the hot water heater. This guy is the perfect example of a scam artist.
I then called another company to come out to see if what Roto said was true. This company was able to clear the blockage and indicated the pipe was NOT collapsed.
I say again, DO NOT CALL ROTO ROOTER!!!!
They have inexperienced employees, and their supervisors are a complete joke.
I called Roto-Rooter out due to a kitchen drain that was backing up. I have had them out previously, including on Thanksgiving day about four years ago. The man quoted me $550, and asked me if this was okay. No, it wasn't, but what choice did I have? They gave me 10% off for donating items to a food drive, and another $25 off for writing a review on some (supposedly) internal site. I gave him 5-stars to get the discount, but did not write anything. This morning I called to question this charge. Corporate told me there is no charge for coming out, but that $550 is their standard fee for any service, no matter how long it takes. (10 years ago I paid $239 she told me.)
Previously I had more serious issues, this one was easy and took about a half hour. The only positive thing was that they were able to schedule an appointment within a few hours. Next time I will go elsewhere.
The work was ok, but I feel like they took advantage of my situation. I was vulnerable with contaminated water leaking heavily in my downstairs rooms. They charged me an exorbitant $8,300 for repairs and installation of new pipe without a breakdown in fees or much of an explanation (and that didn't count the water cleanup and restoration service). No discounts (COVID or otherwise) and I couldn't take the time to call other plumbers for quotes and they knew that. They also knew my insurance didn't cover any of it and I had no other choice. Again, the work was fine, they repaired the leak, but at a super high cost.
I called this company for a same day job that I was told on the phone would take 2-3 hours. The plumber, Niial. arrived on time and came in. He quoted me $678 dollars to install my kitchen sink and then an additional $575 to reattach PVC pipes under my sink. I had NO IDEA how quickly and easily this would be done. After 40min of work, he charged me $1000. I voiced my concern, and was told ""I can unhook all the plumbing if you don't want to pay."".
I acknowledge that my ignorance played a part in this hasty decision, but this was an EGREGIOUS and flagrant scam. This person took complete advantage of me. Not only will I share this story with as many people as possible, I will beg any future customers to LOOK ELSEWHERE.
Andrew W.If I could give less than 1 star I would. Don't waste your time with these guys, just call a real plumber.
Had 4 drains that were slow (kitchen, shower, bathroom sink x2). Roto Rooter guy said $1100 for the full house. The kitchen & shower were much more important but I decided to do the full house.
The guy was unable to clear the kitchen or shower. In fact he made them worse. They went from draining slowly, to completely clogged.
I paid $600 just for the 2 bathroom sinks, which were by far the least important. I would not have paid that much for those 2 sinks alone. Not to mention they're in the same bathroom and share the same piping so I'm sure that he only really had to clear the 1.
Their service rep replied to my Google review, so I emailed them. They didn't reply for 2 weeks until I sent a 2nd email, then I got a call from their corporate office, and all they did was defend their fixed rate pricing and repeat that they couldn't have known that the kitchen & shower couldn't be cleared.
Manny-1916 did a great job fixing my clogged kitchen sink. He was very professional and took the time to run water and ensure that no only was the clog gone but that there were no leaks under the sink. Manny did a fantastic job which met my expectations.
Service person not wear Mask at all from start to finish work,
Overprice, Unprofessional explains problem.
After our basement flooded, we paid RotoRooters a nice little chunk of change to clean out everything in the basement and to replace the old sump pump. After several more visits from the plumber because the sump pump kept leaking, our basement fully flooded again. When I called to complain, the customer service rep reminded me that I didn't pay RR to keep my basement from leaking, only to replace the sump pump... Oh, and did I mention the forged my signature on a work order and charged my credit card without my authorization? I seriously don't know how they're still in business in the North Shore area.
