Had the pleasure of having Manny (tech #1916) come out to clear a clogged drain. He was very professional, friendly and polite. He explained everything and went over all the details of what would be done. The job took 30 mins and was a lot faster then I thought it would take. Great job!

Called on a Sunday and wasn't sure I could get someone to clear a drain clog in the kitchen sink.... however within 2 hours a gentleman called and said he was on his way.... The tech was clean dressed and highly professional, reviewed the situation and gave me an estimate... unfortunately the estimate was more than I wanted to spend, but I did have a coupon and after a few mins of discussion I agreed to move forward. In all honestly it was the professional demeanor of the technician Jay Thurrman #1057 that made me change my mind, I had confidence he would do the job quickly. 45 mins later Jay was leaving and I was happy with his service. Roto-Rooter should consider themselves lucky to have a guy like Jay, he made the sale plausible and ensured I would call them again the next time a problem comes up.

I needed someone to come out and unclog the pipes for the kitchen sink. The usual company we use did not have anyone available till the following week. I called Roto Rooter - Elk Grove knowing that they charge more. After assessing the time required to complete the work, we agreed to a flat hourly rate. Tim did a great job and was very careful to minimize the mess. I see all the negative reviews here, but I didn't have the same experience or outcome. I agree that they are on the expensive side, but I needed the drain opened today. Tim did outstanding work and all in under and hour.

Watch for this guys ! My plumbing system got stuck so I ordered a sever camera inspection for $300. They found roots in my system but no access. We did a contract for creating ""T"" connection but when they started to do the work without me even knowing. Than they were almost ready to cover the ditch and repair with dirt but I was lucky enough to come back home earlier and see that instead of contracted premium materials they used robber connector and $12PVC elbow instead of contracted stainless steel parts.I asked them nicely to use the materials we have listed in the contract and they started to get very aggressive. I had to have them stop the work and order an honest private plumber who finished the work I wanted. Its a shame that they wanted to fight with me over a better materials that they promised in contract and they was threatening me with a putting a contractor's lien on my property (before they even started to install the BS parts). The contracted amount was close to $6800 and they was fighting with me over a $50 worth of promised contracted materials and if I did not come home earlier I would have a rubber parts in my sever !!! I think even Mickey Mouse Plumbers would do a better work. All they offer is a nice commercial in the TV and worst fraudulent service. NO! NO! NO!!!!!!!

We used Roto Rooter Elk Grove village to repair a clogged pipe that backed up and caused damage to our basement ceiling drywall. The field supervisor Wyatt Cornett came to our home to estimate the repair, after a very general inspection he quoted us $1800.00 for the repair. He told us he would have a more accurate amount once is repair crew had the opportunity to inspect the depth of the damage. Once the repair crew came and started working on the basement, they noted that only half of the area that was originally thought damaged would need repair. As anyone would think the bill would be $900.00. Roto Rooter proceeded to charge us the full $1800.00. I call Field Supervisor Wyatt for a week. Once we finally got in touch with him he needed to ""run it up the flag pole"" After 3 more days passed he finely got in contact with we to offer us $100.00 refund. Please explain to me how that works? I highly suggest you read the other reviews on this company prior to giving them the opportunity to earn your business. There seems to be a common theme to how this group operates their business. I have no problem paying for services rendered, but this is excessive and quite frankly dishonest. I explained the situation to Wyatt and informed him I would be disputing the second $900.00 charge as only 50% of the work was done.

Stay clear of this company. Scheduled service on friday and after waiting they never came out even though they said they would. Then scheduled for Saturday, once again did the same thing of calling me all day to say they are running late and then never came.
From looks of these review, this company has definitely gone down hill.

I called to have my garbage disposal fixed because I dropped a glass into the disposal and it jammed. I was scheduled to have someone out to fix it the following day between 12 and 4. When by 5pm came around and still no one showed, I called Roto-Rooter and was told they were over booked and someone would be there soon. By 6pm I received a call that no one would be coming and they rescheduled my service for the next day between 8 and 1. When the plumber showed up the next day, the only ""repair"" he needed to make to fix my garbage disposal was to vacuum out the chunks of glass that had jammed the disposal. And then he charged me $200. $200 for a 5 minute vacuum and 2 full days stuck in my house. Very disappointing and unreliable service. I will not be using them again.

Called for a emergency service to rod out the sewer line of our house. Manny (#1916) responded to the call and showed up soon after at our house. He was courteous and explained what he was doing. In about an hour we were back up and running and able to do laundry and flush toilets once again.

Was told I needed $5800 repair and cleaning out of pipes including tree roots. The pipes are brand new and got 2 more opinions and was told that a section of pipe was too small and is all good after a simple $400 repair. Be careful with this company

If 0 stars was allowed. Three different stories from two people. Tried telling selling us stuff that wasn't needed. Way over priced. Over 400 just for a camera being used(which I was told was included in the first price AND I didn't ask for it). When I asked when they will call for payment collection the dick yelled at me. Be glad I'm fucking paying
