I have never had to use a plumbing service for a drain clog but this one was bad and on a Saturday. Called and a service man was here within the hour. Orlando (Operator #689) was very polite and curtious. He explained everything to me and what he was going to do. He gave me an estimate and it cost exactly that! He pointed out some things that might help avoid future problems and offered referrals...no hard sell. He kept his work area clean and was respectful of the items in his was. Guarantee was a bonus. Would recommend for emergency pipe blockages.

The scheduling was problematic... they didn't take note of my telling them I would be unavailable after 3:00 PM, and were rude when they called to tell me the plumber was coming at 3:30 and I said that was unacceptable. Once the plumber came, the work was fine, but I felt like I was constantly being upsold on things. It's good to be told when there are problems, but it sounds like my entire house needs to be redone.
The plumber was here to hook up a vanity sink that was problematic because of some plumbing configurations in the wall, and he did a good job. I was fine with the quote he gave us for that work, and it was tricky so he definitely earned that. However, as part of the process, he went to turn off the water so he could work, and the shutoff valve didn't completely turn off the water, so he recommended replacing that. He gave me a quote of $300+, so I bit the bullet and agreed... but it took him 15 minutes with a sharkbite fitting (which he told me he used, after the fact), so I'm not entirely sure what all that money was for.

Good points: Once the scheduling was done correctly (problem with the office staff), he was on time. He did the work very well, and was very knowledgeable. I learned a LOT about our house. Even though he pointed out a lot of things that were wrong, I agree that a lot of it probably does need to be looked at, and he was good at explaining WHY there was a problem (and some of what he predicted turned out to be proven while he was there).

Bad points: office staff wasn't very helpful in terms of scheduling, and bordered on rude. I feel I was way overcharged for the valve replacement, which calls into question the pricing structure they use (do they just pull numbers out of the air? what was the guideline for pricing, since it obviously wasn't based on time?). And, while I appreciate knowing what I need to watch out for in the future, I felt after a while like everything was becoming an upsell.

Mike came out installed a bathtub/shower combo. Super personable guy and excellent quality work. Would absolutely recommend them.

We called roto-rooter to repair an issue we were having with our main sewer line. This technician who came out, Tim was great. He arrived on time and was very pleasant. He first looked at the issue and gave us a quote on approximately what it would cost to fix the problem; this was a great gesture being a consumer. After he spent the time to explain what the real issue was, he got right to work fixing it. When he was finished, he notified us that the repair is guaranteed for 6 months; another great point being the consumer. We are pleased with the service and would recommend for plumbing needs!

Website clearly says 24/7 emergency plumbing services. I called on a Saturday and was told that they don't work on weekends. Apparently they don't know what the 7 in 24/7 stands for. They are 24/5, not 24/7. False advertising. Awful!

We had blockages in our pipes 2 days before Christmas. Our basement had water from 2 loads of washer machine water. I called RotoRooter (never used their services before) and the office help was very competent in writing up the request. They said someone will be there between 2-4 PM. I got a call 45 min. later and they someone will be there around 1PM! The service representative was knowledgeable, fully trained and very neat with his work. We discovered that we had 2 blockages which took a bit longer to resolve. He unblocked the pipes and used a camera system to double check that he corrected the problem. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter, they know their business. They are dependable and courteous.

I'm writing a review for my sister who because of them is approaching Christmas with a clogged pipe that they refuse to finish doing the job. They had 30 feet left to go and the guy left her high and dry. Told her he can't gaurantee it will work and charged 717.00. He was a very angry man and my sister said he had to keep going outside to calm down because he got the machine stuck in the drain and was very frustrated. He told her that he might have to cut the line and leave it in the pipe and he didn't know what she would do. Lucky for her it came loose because they caused her enough problems never mind that too. They snaked through the toilet hole so the guy had to remove the toilet. He took out the flange and when he put it back together he didn't have another flange so he says, and stuffed 2 wax rings in its place. I feel bad because I mentioned Roto Rooter to my sister and she went ahead and used them. I will never ever use them for anything! Also she called to complain and the manager said he would call her the next day to resolve this, of course he never did. She called 3 times to get no where with them. Use a real plumber if you need your lines cleaned. This place has no care for their customers and does not resolve the problem!

Paul did an amazing job helping us with our sump pump issues. I called on a Saturday morning and by 10 am he was at our home giving us by far the cheapest quote we received. He did an amazing job and we can rest easy knowing our basement will not flood.

Tim came on time and was very well mannered and helpful. He explained my options clearly and helped me choose the option that would be most effective for me. He worked very efficiently and did the job professionally. Although roto rooter is expensive if you need them I would highly recommend their services.
