My daughter (single mom 23 yrs. young) called to have a kitchen faucet installed. The tech was there for 1.5 hours and charged her $550 for the labor to put in the faucet (she purchased it from Amazon) and two water lines ($25 parts fee). This is an outrageous amount for a simple faucet installation. I called their office and was rudely rejected and the office manager said this is their ""standard fee"" for this type of job. What a joke and how unethical these people are at this local franchise owned by Ray Quintero. I will report them to the BBB as well and also to all the other residents in my daughter's mobile home park so no one else there gets ripped off.

My girlfriend called these idiots to have a leaky faucet repaired. They charged about $100 to come to the house. They said she needed an new faucet assembly.... $1400. She also asked to look at the toilet. They said you need a $600 toilet. I went there and replaced a $0.70 washer and a $10 flapper valve.

What a total scam calling a plumber that can't replace a washer or flapper - and charge $100.

I talked to them.... So so so rude, they said the $100 service call is to show up at your door and doesn't mean they will fix anything.

Minus one million stars for being crooks

MOST UNRELIABLE EXPENSIVE PLACE EVER and they make you wait forever then DO NOT SHOW UP
Called with an emergency ( they have emergency and oncall listed on site) basement was flooding at 1 a.m. told us they are booked for 6 months. I said you offer emergency services though. We are booked I was told. My response was THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! Her response sorry well.... We .... Are.....booked. Called today at 9:30am with a toilet issue. Said 2-4 hrs. They called said 2-4 more hours called again same thing. By the time 5pm hit they had called 3 times and delayed it 3 times in am 8 hr period. Took the day off mind you. Waited 8 1/2 hrs and all we got was calL after call and no service. Finally cancelled. Oh wait. They said it's $80 just to have them come to your house. This company is disgusting. Rude, and unreliable.

Can't say they do good work though because hey never actually show up

I had a hot water heater leak on Sunday morning and Jimmy came by 10am. He checked and gave me the quote and once agreed he and Mike came back on Monday to install the new one. He's patient and work with confidence. Jimmy tried his best to make minimum mess and work as efficient as possible. He tried to answer all my questions along the way. The work was done with 2 hours. Great service

They were terrible!!! Do not use them. Made an appointment and they didn't show up in their allotted time then complained they just can't come because of traffic. Not reliable at all.

I've used these guys a couple times. Only cause I had no choice in the few incidents. Last year for sewer plumbing that needed replacement in the basement. They charged me like 3 times for coming out to snake til one plumber finally said I need new piping. The first couple guys didn't seem too professional. One told me he knocked the vent pipe by accident and hopefully I don't get water coming in through the roof. However all plumbing was replaced. But instead of running the line to a more practical route they followed the same old one. It works but just figured one would have some sense. I used them again this past November for a kitchen sink install with all new plumbing. I think the guys name was James. Great guy. He was the only that was able get this done the day before Thanksgiving. Saved our holiday dinner. This guy got RotoRooter the extra star. Also honored the 6month warranty and came back to alter the plumbing for the leak. Anyways overpriced 24hr service, kinda expected. I'd advise checking for local pricing first.

The service tech unclogged my sink drain and I had him snake the bathtub drain just for preventive maintenance. Thirty minutes of unskilled labor and $0 in parts apparently equals a $506.95 service charge. I'll just do it myself next time.

When I called Roto- Rooter because I had a foot of water in my basement, they said that they could have someone there within an hour, and they were right. Our technician was professional and got right to work. He was patient with the chaos that was ensuing in our house in regards to our basement under water.
Thanks again!

I give this company no stars really, but in order to write a review I had to click on 1. Here's my story. I had water coming into my basement whenever you flushed the toilet and used the sinks. I called Roto-Rotor and a tech name Sammie contacted me back. He explained that it would cost me $565.00 just to come out and send the camera through. Sammie came out to my home, He assessed the situation ( and by assessing I mean, he told me to flush the toilet). Once seeing the water come into the basement he told me I had a broken pipe. He explained how he didn't have to put the camera in because he can tell what the problem is. And no he didn't snake it either. He explained that he would need to step outside and make a call. Upon returning he told me ""you have two options in getting this fixed"". Sammie gave me a clear explanation of the $6800.00 option and when it came to the second option he basically said it wouldn't really resolve my issue. Sammie proceeded to explain how I can pay for the repairs which would include knocking out a wall, rerouting pipes and closing off other pipes. They would need to take my fence down in front of my home( and by the way they wouldn't be putting it back up), he also explained how they would also be digging up my rose bushes. He also went on to explain how Rotor-Rooter offers a cleanup service that would go through my insurance and would come in and clean my basement (they would also be cutting the bottom of the walls in the basement), and would throw away any damaged item, I.e my washer and dryer that by the way weren't affected by the less than 1 inch of water on the floor. He also informed me that ""if you don't go ahead and get this completed and should it snow the price would increase because we would need to dig through the snow to get to the ground, and if the ground is hard that becomes an issue as well"". So after an entire night of no sleep, I decided to call for a second opinion. THANK GOODNESS I did. I had a smaller company come out, they ran the snake through the drain and determined that I had a clogged drain( pulled stuff out that I don't dare to explain). My bill was no where near what Sammie gave me. The issue was resolved in about an hour and not an entire day as Sammie had explained to me. When I contacted the corporate office , I was directed back to the general manager of the area who was ""on another line"" I was assured that he would call me back when he finished. Needless to say that has yet to happen and it's been about a week. I called corporate back, spoke with a lady who was more surprised that another company came out with a camera ""because we are really the only company that uses cameras "" and proceeded to ask me the name of the company that I did use. I eventually told her "" you sound as though you are not going to do anything with this call, which is all fine and good, but I just wanted her to know that people work to hard for their money for companies to try and rip them off. She then assured me that Sammie's manager would contact me( where have I heard that before?) That has not happened either. Before I leave off just know the price Sammie gave me was not the price she had on her paperwork. As a matter of fact she told me it was $1600.00 until I said I have a copy of the quote in front of me. Needless to say, this is one company that I will never call again.

I had a contractor who ended up dropping some one-inch floor tile down the drain which I was unaware. My plumbing began to back up into the toilet onto the floor after showering upstairs (the toilet downstairs was the closest to the drain and that's why that one overflowed. I tried to fix it by myself and a maintenance person with a snake and I though I had it but I only pushed through some clogged paper. I didn't know why it backed up again so I called Roto-Rooter from MANCHESTER , CT at 9am and by 11am the gentleman from Rooter-Rooter showed up. I was promised an 11am-1pm show time. He showed a lot of confidence, wrote me an estimate and I agreed to that and then promptly began his work. He used a very robust and powerful commercial snake and pushed whatever was in that drain down to the lowest area of the check pipe drain cover that runs from the house to our septic tank outside. Everything unclogged and what heavy material remained were the floor tiles that our contractor had ripped up from a bathroom project and had made their way down the drain where toilet paper had wadded up along with the tile and created a clog. The Rotor-Rooter man then ran a camera line down the entire drain to ensure that it was free of anything that could have been left behind. The service was EXCELLENT and in my view very fast.

During the initial call where I mentioned that I had a $40 internet coupon that could have been applied simply by them acknowledging that I actually had seen it on the main Rooter-Rooter website. The office lady suggested I take a picture of it on my cellphone from my computer or just show him the coupon from my computer. Unfortunately the coupon was impossible to print out physically although there was a print out button provided on the website. (What I should have done as I think about it now was to save a picture screen copy on my desktop and then print that out). When your kind of frazzled by toilet water flowing all over the basement it's hard to keep concentration. Anyway when the gentleman from Roto-Rooter showed up I was still to frazzled and I wanted to be near the service technician to see what was going on rather than go upstairs and play around on my computer. I paid the amount and forgot about this for two days. Today I sent the folks from Roto-Rooter a comment on the web site and within a half-hour the representative told me that the owner wants to refund $40 for the coupon mixup. This makes them very honest and customer responsive in my opinion. I've got to tell you that the SERVICE was EXCELLENT and the over-the-phone estimate of $400-$450 for a main drain cleanup came out on the higher end but well worth the price. You can't beat the RESULTS where my problem went down-the-drain and my wife is definitely pleased about that. I'll definitely call Rotor-Rooter again if I need plumbing service again.
