They can take an appointment and give you a window of two hours, but they can't honor the appointment time. Two times I have now waited around for my 8:30-10:30 window and both times they have failed to come anywhere close to this window of time. This company needs to manage their scheduling and take better care of their repeat customers.

Just had Bryant out for a same day request to clear a clogged kitchen drain through the outside trap. He arrived on time, was polite and professional, and did an excellent job, quickly!! Highly recommend this company. The dispatch is out of LA which worried me a bit, but rest assured the San Diego office called prior to our appt to confirm the time and details. If you want an honest job, done right and fair priced, then give them a call!

Our guest bathroom's drain developed a clog due to some items flushed by the previous owner. The technician from Roto Rooter showed up less than 12 hours later, with excellent communication about time of arrival so I could arrange to be there with him. He verified the problem and hauled an electric 1/2"" cable snake up our two flights of stairs to see if he could break the clog loose. After less than 5 minutes of snaking, I heard the glorious sound of water draining down the pipes, the sound of victory!
Our tech was friendly and professional, and he answered all our questions. $250 seems a bit steep to me for what amounted to 20 minutes of work (hence only 4 and not 5 stars), but I cannot argue with the results. Plus we're guaranteed for the next 120 days so if the problem comes back, we can get it addressed free of charge. Hydrojetting would have been the next step, but at $600, let's hope we stay clog free!

We have ask for him by name ever since and the company as obliged. We have had several urgent events, and Mr. Williams has called us immediately to Gage the severity and get to us ASAP. He arrives on time, is prepared, verifies the work to be done, confirms it and the prices in writing with us, gets the work done on time, and verifies the status when complete. When you start to notice water permeating through your pavers and lawn you get the dreaded feeling in the pit of your stomach that something is seriously wrong...so I called Roto Rooter and was able to get an appointment right away. At our scheduled appointment time Wesley was right on time and even got to the house early to prep. Wesley did a quick diagnostic of the problem and explained everything to me along the way. We ended up having a leak on our main water line. What we thought was a small leak ended up being a lot more serious. Wesley worked hard and was determined to fix the leak. Throughout the process he was still very positive and explained what was happening. We feel lucky that Wesley showed up and was able to help us out in a time that was quite stressful. If we need anything in the future it's nice to know we have a friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy person to help us out for our future needs. Thank you, Wesley!

Roto-Rooter has consistently been a disappointment, but they recently really worked me over.

They did work they DID NOT need to do, including installing a ""needed cleanout"" 4 inches above one that was already there, but just buried in a little dirt. Had they done the proper investigation, they would have seen it was there and spared me the expense, and more importantly would not have punched a hold in the side of my house that they never patched.

And after days of work (and thousands of dollars) my problem was no better off.

Upon getting a second and third opinion, I felt Roto-Rooter was trying to fleece me. It will be the last time I ever call them.

They broke a pipe while trying to snake my kitchen sink. They fixed it poorly, and left a mess when they were done. I literally still have a hole in the side of my house where a raccoon or skunk could let themselves into my house via this hole that Roto left un-patched.

Never calling them again. I believe John Stevenson Plumbing is much more trustworthy and expert.
