Before you go for them, make sure to have ample time. They give a time and they will probably arrive 1 day after the given time. The staff are rude. They do not care about the customers or issues.

USE ANYONE ELSE - BUT DONT CALL THIS COMPANY.... I would not even give them 1 star. Complete robbery: overcharged for service and under satisfaction for repairing the leak issue. Totally reporting to BBB !

Service fee is $500.00 and the part was only $40.00 --- who does that --- straight highway robbery !

And also gave me a 3 Day Right to Cancel notice form and then when I try to cancel within the hour -- They said they DONT HONOR the 3 day cancellation! Said that's just a generic thing every company has - its not valid !!! WOW .. really !

Nope, just skip them and save yourself from the headache. Extremely unreliable time window estimates and condescending management. The plumber was helpful and professional though. Roto-Rooter gave me a time window for 10 am - 2 pm on Sunday and I cancelled all of my plans to sit and wait for them. I had to keep calling and waited for about 15-30 minutes each time on hold for dispatch for an update. I waited until 7:30 pm until they said they wouldn't be able to show up after all and guaranteed to come the next day between 8 am - 12 pm and also offered me a $50 credit for the inconvenience. They ended up being delayed again and showed up past the window.

When I called the next day to talk to management, they were extremely condescending and rude. He asked me ""Who told you you were getting a discount? You don't use plumbing companies often do you? You should be grateful we arrived on a timely manner.""

1.) I have used plumbing companies before 2.) Even if I haven't, that's not a professional way of speaking with a first time customer of your company (which I identified myself as) 3.) Arriving a whole day late with little communication is not ""a timely manner."" 3.) Plumbing services are not something people frequently use anyways, only if you have issues, so that remark feels even more defensive and unnecessary

I'm severely disappointed since their services were so easy to book online and they seemed to be reliable from the information found on their website. I'm not sure why they think that I would be encouraged to be a repeat customer with that level of service.

I've got 2 issues.

#1. I've got a massive clog.

#2. It's Sunday.

How much is this going to cost me?! Oh, and you know, we're in the middle of the pandemic. What's that thing called?! Supply and demand?!

I'm budgeting five bills but I don't care. Without the clean out, I can't run my kitchen sink or washing machine.

So it's a Roto rooter to the rescue. Why them? Why not? Aren't they the FedEx of the plumbing industry?!

I check out their website. They've got a special for $77. I know it's a bait and switch but I don't care. I am budgeting five bills on this one.

I called early in the morning. Maybe 10 AM? I'm shocked but they say they can get someone there between 4 and 6 PM. On a Sunday?! Wow. Pleasantly surprised!

Around 5:30 PM, I get a personal phone call from the dispatcher. Not a text, A phone call.

He informs me they're running on a skeleton crew and they will not make the window quoted but someone will be there ASAP!

Remember, this is a Sunday. I don't care when they get there. The fact that I'm getting same-day service on a Sunday during the pandemic is shocking to me.

So at 10 PM, on a Sunday night, Johnny shows up at my doorstep. He looks like he's been through hell and back but he shows up with a big fat smile on his face.

He jumps out of the truck with this can-do spirit and says, ""How can I be of service?""

I'm in shock by his upbeat attitude. I point him in the direction and away he goes!

As he's doing his thing and in passing the time, I find out he has 7 kids. 7 kids and yet he's at some strangers house on a Sunday in the middle of the night trying to make their lives better.

Who does this nowadays?!

He drops his line in and it's as if he's fighting this giant dragon as the snake hurdles down the pipe towards the center of the earth!

Wala! Like some mysterious magician from the Outer Banks of Mongolia my clog has suddenly disappeared!

What else can I do for you this evening, he asks me.

I'm good Johnny, what do I owe you (expecting to hear $489).

He says that'll be $77 this evening.

Did I mention this was on a Sunday with midnight right around the corner?

Shocked and shaking my head, I said you have got to be kidding me?

Nope! $77!

I said right on, Johnny...and here's $100 just for you.

To Roto Rooter... I'm a business owner. I get it. We sometimes get lost in our day-to-day functions. We sometimes forget about the people out on the front lines.

Do me a favor. Call Johnny and let him know you haven't forgotten about him.

Better yet, have him give a master class in customer service to all the other techs in the field.

It will come back tenfold. Trust me.

Had a scheduled appointment for between 9:45 and 11:45pm. They called at 9:30 and said that there was one person ahead of us so they would likely be here closer to midnight. Then they called again at 11:55pm and canceled saying they could no longer come out. Offered us a $50 discount and said they could come in the morning.
Came at 9am and tried to charge $450 for a 15 minute snake job from the clean out to the curb.

Called a 2nd place and was quoted $115 for the same job. Called a third place and got it done for $88. What a racket!

Call around and avoid this Roto Rooter place for sure! They are not reliable for the 24 hr service they claim to be. And I could not believe the price gouging!

SO SAD, used for years. This last time was the pitts. Used online scheduling tool at 1:30 in the afternoon, for an appt from 5-7pm. 7:30 no one showed or called, the dispatch said they are busy and are waiting for a tech. I said keep me on, because its incredibly tuff with an entire family that cant flush or run the water. The main was clogged and had back up on our front porch, lovely.... By 9:30pm, they had not "" found"" a tech to come! I agreed for the first appt in the am from 9am-11am, its now 12:30 and no one has showed up or called, Called to ck status, and was disconnected, just a complete joke at this point.

The roto-rooter representative came in when we had a clog. He just started quoting crazy high numbers. He quoted 750$ for removing a clog when i got it done for 125$ by local plumber. They just quote crazy numbers if you are new to this.

We had excellent service from Roto Rooter yesterday May 8 2021 for our kitchen sink back-up and line clearing. From scheduling service through their website Roto Rooter kept us updated on the arrival of the tech Luciano. We received an email and 2 text messages. Luciano was excellent. He didn't fool around. He explained the complete process to us from start to finish including the cost. He kept us updated during the process. Our kitchen sink back-up went way into the line. He did not leave our home until the process was accurately complete. He also cleaned-up the whole area under the sink. He was excellent. We are very appreciative of his service and excellent skill. Thank you again.

Dont waste your time!!! These guys wanted $450 to snake the line. Had it done the next day for $88!!! Fuck this place.
