They were quite late but the plumber fixed the problem and didn't charge for parts since he was in fact late. Did a great job on a hard to fix toilet! I recommend them

They came out to fix a bathroom drainage problem for a house we just acquired. Not sure how long the house had been vacant but we know from experience, stuff solidifies in the lines when the plumbing is not used in awhile. Technician spent hours under the house trying to find the drain only to find out it was a separate system (found out we had two working septics). In any case, he couldn't clear it past a certain length so he had to call a jetter in to do the job. It cost significantly more than originally quoted but when we discovered the sink was running slow again a few days later, they didn't charge us. In the first case, cause was the main line to the septic, in the second case, the actual sink and shower were clogged. Technician said that since they were separate issues, the warranty didn't technically apply; however, he said his manager told him not to charge us. Not once, did they do work without quoting and asking us first. I think the technicians as well as the office have been very professional

Roto Rooter sent out service technician Abran within the time frame they promised. Abran was courteous, respectful, and clear in what he intended to do, what he encountered, what was needed and how much it would cost. He was considerate of my home and my time. I trusted him, and I appreciated his demeanor and his service. This is so important.

Had a driver almost run me into opposing lanes of traffic, to which i honked. He flipped me the finger, and then merged into my lane, almost getting me hit from both directions, the person oncoming, and the person behind me. Really classy. I called three times in 2 days, to lodge a complaint about the younger hispanic guy in van #7. I was given the runaround by the receptionist, told that no managers were in the office, and i would be called ""right back"". Nothing. Any time i called or since. Not even an email, and my address was given. Shamefull. What would happen if i used this company, then had legitimate problems regarding the work? Used them before for thousands of dollars of work on our rental units, work was ok, workers left some trash, will now never use again, there's many other plumbers.

Called them for a water heater leaking in the bypass/pressure valve. They came out and quoted $400 to $500 to replace valve. Asked them how much to install pressure regulator on the main line, they said $200. Asked them to perform the work thinking total would be $600 to $700.

The guy kept buying the wrong parts and had to make multiple trips to the store for parts. He didn't know how to do the job so kept calling his co-worker to ask how to do certain things. A simple job that should have taken a skilled plumber 1 to 2 hours to complete ended up taking 4+ hours.

At the end of it all, I get a bill from the company for over $1,000 for all the time and work that was spent (plus extra trips to the parts store).

They send an inexperienced tech to do the work, yet charging the rate of a experienced tech.

Will never be using their service again. Since I manage multiple rental properties in the area, Will be taking all my business to another more reasonably priced and more experienced plumber.

Had them come out to fix backup in kitchen sink. Told brother n law it would be $375 just to snake the drain pipe 50 ft out to front of house, then changed his story when I got there and told me it would be $375 just to go 25 ft, and an additional $375 to go another 25 ft out to the front, and would give no guarantee it would fix the problem. I said ""no thanks"" and sent him away. Don't hire these thieves. Look at the horrible reviews and ratings they have on Consumer Affairs website. Run the other way.

BEWARE OF PRICING it is very elastic. My sewer line was backed up and my regular plumber was not available so I called roto rooter. They sent someone out very quickly and the sewer was cleared in about 45 minutes. My sewer line has very easy access, this was a weekday, and I've had this job done many times before so I didn't ask ahead of time what it would cost. The bill was $235. I had never paid that much, even when I had the work done on a weekend, and I mentioned that to the technician but he said their prices had recently gone up. I called the office the next day to complain about the price and after some discussion received a refund of $40. This was still about $50 higher than I ever paid previously. If you want to build trust and confidence with your customers, this is not how to run a business.

Pretty bad experience here. I made an appointment because we have a strange odor in the house. I was eager to have someone come out to take a look and scope our sewage line. 45 minutes before my scheduled appointment window, they called and started asking a bunch of questions about the size of the crawl space and indicated that they may refer me to another plumber.... Meanwhile, I took a day off of work to be here for this appointment. I asked if they could just scope the sewer line. They said they could but only if I gave them exact measurements of the crawl space. I am staying in my parents house and could not answer all their questions. I tried to answer the questions, but found it very frustrating. At the end of the conversation, it was clear that they did not want to do this job. Very strange and unprofessional, so we finally just canceled the appointment.

I would not use this service.

I see that other's had bad experiences so I almost didn't call Roto-Rooter, but I was desperate and they were fantastic! Maybe it had to do with getting a good technician--his name was Pierce.

My main line needed a snake. Reliable had come previously, charged $328 and did not use a blade on the snake. The problem returned 3 days later. Now it was Memorial Day and Reliable wanted $438 to come and do it again.

Instead I called Roto-Rooter who charged a total of $165 on Memorial Day. Roto-Rooter used a blade on the snake which cleaned out the fine tree roots and solved the problem.

Both companies were very courteous, but Roto-Rooter went a step further by adding the blade and charged less than 1/2 the price for exactly the same job.

It seems like the plumbers and the front office don't talk to each other. Plumber told me one thing, then when I called the office, the receptionist has no idea what the plumber was talking about. Better I spend my money at plumbing business that cares about customer service.
