Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I had Roto-Rooter come to my house in King City on June 28, 2021 for a backed up drain. Tech explained that my house was old and had debris in the lines and recommended a hydro-jet cleaning for $1,400. The tech jetted out my lines and told me the line was clear and all was good. Today is July 15th and my drain is already clogged again. I called to Roto-Rooter to come visit my house again. Tech explained again that my line was clogged and that they do NOT GUARANTEE their work and I have to pay another $1,400 to do the same job they failed to do the first time.

My recommendation is do not call them at all. Go with Benson Plumbing for a quality company that will stand behind their work.

My service was good the young man Alex tried an did his best which was great the one thing that kind of bother me was I had to tell him to put on shoe covers. But really got me was the price I had to pay for them to use a camera. My grandson flushed a Lysol toilet stone with plastics on it down. Then the toilet backed up. They pulled the toilet snaked it and resealed it for 250.00 dollars and tub. But we still worried about a blockage from lysol stone so we asked them to check with a camera 445.00 dollars when it was done over we were out 845.00. I told myself I will wait for our old plumber. I have had major issues before and never once did he ever charge me that when he used his camera. Didn't corporate get the memo we were in damn pandemic people have been out of work. I don't blame the the workers but I do blame the Owners.

If I could give Roto Rooter zero stars, I would. If you're budget minded and looking for a business with integrity, I urge you to look elsewhere. My husband and I needed a gas line installed for a new stove and we were quoted $2,800 for no more than four hours of labor and a few pieces of pipe and fittings. We highly recommend Ben at Cal Rooter for his honest pricing, availability, and excellent work. It's unfortunate that Roto-Rooter conducts business by taking advantage of people. Shameful.

I've been ripped off! I was babysitting my grandchildren at my son's house and put potato peels down the garbage disposal. My mistake and a very costly one. They were having a small gathering the next day for my grandson's birthday and really needed the sink. I told my daughter in law to call someone out and I would cover the cost. She called Roto Rooter. Big mistake! I expected to pay about $200 max. After looking at the clog, the supervisor came to me with an invoice to sign...$750 if they run a snake from the roof or $950 if they go under the sink. I was shocked and hesitated, but felt like I had to get this done and soon. They took advantage of my predicament and didn't even flinch at the cost. I reluctantly paid the $750 after only 20 minutes of work to complete the job. I've been sick over this! They e-mailed me a copy of my invoice and it had nothing itemized on it. It only had the date and the amount. Nothing explaining the work that was completed or the time it took to complete. I called around to several reputable plumbers in the area and they agreed, max I should have only paid $150. I am going to pursue a resolution with this by contacting the Salinas Chamber of Commerce. Better Business Bureau and spreading the word that they are unethical and thieves.! Save your money and call a reputable plumber.

They did the work..no delays or excuses. Their hydro jet is supposed to last longer than a snake down the sewer drains. It costs a lot of money. It might be worth it, depends on how much you might need them.

This review is for Roto-Rooter Restoration services.
Roto-rooter general for plumbing concerns was a bit disorganized and overpriced. They said they'd bring a camera, then didn't, also said they'd come out immediately and it took them several more days to come.

Roto-rooter Restoration Team, Ray and Anthony however, were prompt, well-priced, fantastic and fast to work with.

I had an issue with a former contractor accidentally cutting a pipe under my kitchen sink, such that my garbage disposal was basically just dumping broccoli and things under my house! I originally called Roto-rooter for that problem, but didn't feel good about what they were going to charge to look at it, so we got under the house and found the leak ourselves and were able to fix it, however the water under the house and materials were of concern and a bigger job than we could do and feel confident about it.

From my first call with Roto-Rooter, I had gotten also connected to Ray from Roto-Rooter Restoration and he helped assure me that they could come immediately, be very minimally invasive (they cut one hole in my vent, suck out all the rotten materials and liquid under my house, sanitize it with a natural non-toxic enzyme, and run and air scrubber and dehumidifier until it was completely dry.

They came immediately and fixed me up, plus they were really clean and helpful given COVID too. Highly recommend Raymond and Anthony.

We planned to just have a drain snaked but ended up replacing all the pipe under the house and lining the pipe to the road. It was just time to stop putting a band-aid on the issue and actually address it. We were so pleased with everyone that worked here during that time. The communication was great. Manager Juan, Alex, and their crew made a typically, frustrating situation, very quick and easy. Highly recommend.

The workers and work was great,very professional. But had a RR pluming management billing brake down issue, NO HELP ! ??. Was told by the RR pluming manager to ""bite the bullet"". So I had to reach out to corporate to get what my insurance adjuster n I were requesting. Corporate helped with no issue or time wasted.
