The got the job done, but pricey (and I have no way to compare to others). Employees were nice, and seemed to be efficient, but I haven't seen two electric shavers and a charger which were in the bathroom since. They did leave behind a heavy-duty extension cord.

They are thieves. My wife was in desperate need to have sink unclogged. Very basic job. At the house only 30 minutes and charged $425. I have talked to four other companies that quotes a basic unclog around $225. Took advantage of someone who wasn't at all familiar with what it should cost.

Roto-rooter said the leak was coming from here (see picture). It took 2 men from Roto-rooter 4 hours to dig this. I got so nervous, I asked to stop services. The owner charged me $325 an hour to dig dirt, totaling $1,300. Omg.

I hired someone else, they fixed the leak in an hour for $325 (labor and parts), and guess what? The leak wasn't even where Roto-Rooter dug!

Gerardo Garcia and his team were professional, pleasant and saved the day when the sludge in my pipes backed up. A black, nasty mess that they took care of in a couple of hours. They did some courtesy checks on all of my piping and explained everything to me. They gave me options and an estimate and got right to work. They left everything clean and gave me advice on how to maintain these old iron pipes to maximize their life cycle. I genuinely appreciated the service.

Absolute extortion. This is how our service went- First off we had a very simple repair needing done. The main water line was leaking from a connection just below our main water line. Happened Sunday night, so I turned off the main water and got the line ready for repair. They came out on Monday (non emergency), and this is the time they gave the quote. They don't do it over the phone, bc they told me the person doing the quote doesn't know California prices (although all she did was look it up, not sure why the person doing the scheduling can't do that). For the record, she told me California charges $490/hour- for a plumber. Absolutely the most ridiculous hourly rate I have ever heard of.

So when the kid arrived, he quoted my fiancée around $1300 for repair one connection. Well my fiancee just agreed to go ahead and fix, bc we were already without water for the previous night and that day and she wanted the water back on. Had they quoted us over the phone, we clearly would have found another plumber. I suspect this is their strategy.

The kid fixed the repair in 2 hours, including travel time to go to hardware store and buy parts.

When I got home, I realized he had fixed it, but left our hose running (this is where he made the repair, no way he didn't notice that)- for a total of 6 hours by the time I got home. Bill received- $1350 for two hours of work and one new connection (a 4 "" piece). I called the company to ask how they came up with the rate, to which they replied that was done by the person who fixed it. When I asked how he was trained in pricing (bc he was very young and clearly new), they could not give me an answer. Then when I asked about the time her reported being there, he had added and extra 2 hours to the invoice).

At this point, there is nobody else I can talk to about pricing, billing and we are stuck with an absolute absurd price for a seemingly simple repair. This will be the first and the last time we use this company, highly recommend calling one of 50 other plumbers I'm sure you have in your area. This pricing should honestly be illegal.

Thank you Roto Rooter for coming out quickly to repair the leak from the main bathroom, which made it's way to the hallway carpet as well as fix the shower faucet in the master bathroom. These leaky faucet issues stem from the handyman I hired this past weekend who did a sloppy job. As a result, the hallway carpet was wet for 3 days and I feared there may be some damage. Gerardo Garcia came to assess the situation and gave me an estimate of how much everything was going to cost. I agreed to the cost. He replaced the hot water valve under my mom's sink and there was no more leak. I asked him if he would be able to install the new shower faucet that my mom purchased for her bathroom and he said he would take a look at the old one (which was leaking too) and told me and my mom that the new shower faucet required an additional part. I asked him if it was possible to purchase the the additional part at my local hardware store and he went out and bought it. He also fixed the leak in the shower faucet in the master bathroom, which the handyman did not install properly. Gerardo went above and beyond the scope of his duty. My mom and I appreciate his honesty, professionalism and his expertise. He was prompt, efficient and got the job done. Now there are no more leaks in the main bathroom and the master bathroom. In addition, I would like to mention Gerardo brought with him two additional workers, named Art and Jose, who came to assess the water damage on the carpets and on the walls. I was given some information regarding that too. Overall, I am a satisfied customer and highly recommend Gerardo. Just knowing that the job will be done right and having a peace of mind is priceless!

I called Roto-Rooter for a dishwasher installation, explained it was not a replacement but a new installation that would require carpentry work to remove cabinet interior and create an opening between a cabinet in the sink. The guy on the phone was super polite and said problem they did it all the time, could do it easily. We set up a service appointment and the guy who arrived said he could not do any service that day, just give me a quote. when I said it was supposed to be a service appointment he said ""they do that all the time"" but mostly when they arrive the can only quote the job and do the service later. I was really surprised at the level of dishonesty as well as the delay and taking a half day off work for nothing. I will find a more honest business for my plumbing needs.

Want to give these guys a major shout out!!!

We had a major leak coming from our neighbors property above our own. The leak was going on for WEEKS and causing erosion and water damage to our property. We called just about everyone we can think of, as did the neighbors whose water it was causing the damage. NO ONE could figure where it was leaking from, no one, not even a professional water ""detection"" company. It was so stressful and frustrating knowing we had to live with all this WATER RUNNING ONTO our property!!

Finally, Roto-Rooter comes out and it's a MIRACLE, they find it in less than ONE HOUR, and fix the broken pipe that they estimate, has been leaking for more than a month!!

Make sure you do your research on how much something is supposed to cost before having these people come. Make them break down the cost to the very last penny. They take advantage of clueless people
