They tried to talk me into an unnecessary crazy expensive procedure even without having thoroughly looked into my issue beforehand. Followed up with SMS designed to scare me into doing it. Wanted 9k (as their more affordable option) for what another (definitely not cheap) plumber fixed for 2,5k.

Re-lined our sewer. Big job. Quick response. Quick clean work. Large crew. All good . Prices seem high but we were stuck to get it done fast. 5 year warranty on work. Would call again.

Smelly plumber who spread their gunk all over my house and didn't comply with any of my simple hygiene requests.

They charge $460 to clean out a bathroom sink trap. The job took 20 minutes to remove the trap and clean it out. No tools other than gloves and a bucket were needed. They showed up when they said they would which is a big positive, but expect to pay over $1,200 per hour for their time.

I had a slab leak in my restroom and I trusted that this company would help fix it as they said they could do the job. They had their group there, they dug deep into my floor, they did their ""work"" and sealed with concrete but It only took a week before the area they worked on started to become a problem again. They did not fix it and they are not reliable from my experience.

Terrible service way to over priced the boss is unprofessional and money hungry wants to charge 8,000 for a job that I did for 200 bucks. It's a steal don't use them

Eh....I'm not one to leave a negative review unless deserved. However, I can say a few things about them.

This company is genuinely expensive. We had a main line that needed to be snaked. Our toilets and other water utilities were slightly backed up. Not a big project but certainly one that will take about 15 minutes. The clean out was located in our back yard which is about 75 feet from the city drain. Anything over 75 feet is $100 more. Do not let any plumber convince you that it is more than that.

Normally, on a weekday, this type of service runs $185-$250 post CoVID prices.

Anyway, plumber shows up. Nice guy and say it'll cost me $460 to snake the line. I kindly said no thanks. Now, the operator on the phone stated it might be $350 tops. So there was misinformation there.

I politely told him I am not interested and got another plumber to do the same job that night for $200. This also included snaking one of our toilets no extra charge.

TBH, Roto Rooter is not a bad company. They just overcharge customers on services that are well...generic.

I've had them come out several times within a year and they are SCAMMERS. They have charged me $440.00 to unclog my Maine line or kitchen sink 3 times and not one time did they actually support and fulfill their 6 month residential warranty.

The plumber tells you to call his supervisor or he tries to find a reason why the guarantee is VOID, they'll tell you it's because of roots in your line, however they can't confirm this because they haven't used a camera. And to do so that'll cost you an extra $550 on top of the $440 you've just paid 5 mins ago.

However the plumber acts like their calling in for a discount and will go from 440-390 and once you say you can't afford it they'll say what can you afford and act like they can charge you a little over that. But each time I have still ended up paying $440 this last time he said I'll give you a deal for $350. They are basically a shady business contracting whoever they can and they negotiate the price and probably pay roto rooter a $100 fee or something.

This guy told me he can't do the guarantee but he can charge whatever he wants and I said so it's at your discretion. He replied yes so they are making up prices for a job that won't last more than a couple months and you'll be calling them back. They lost a loyal customer today if I could give a 0 I would. Try to find a more trustworthy, honest plumber. ROTO ROOTER IS HORRIBLE. Trust me I have several homes that I run as assisted living I'm never calling them back again and making sure I tell everyone I know in my business practice not to use them!

I would give this company is zero if I could. We used them before and they were great but they set up a man who is completely 100% incompetent.
All I wanted him to do was sneak out a drain on the outside of my house. Instead, he comes into the house. He pulls the toilet apart. He takes off the seat where my elderly grandmother sits so now he does not know how to put the seat back both of my sinks or stopped up and miraculously unstopped. He was completely incompetent. I did call Nick the manager and hopefully he will handle this because I don't see much future for Roto router. FaceTime people like this out. It turned out that the outside drain was not a drain at all something this fellow should've known.
