Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We have had a series of plumbing leaks in our current home. We decided to go with a more well-known, established name when it looked like our dishwasher leaked and damaged our cabinets. There is never a convenient time for a big issue, but we were drowning with life. Roto-Rooter came to the rescue. We called 8 plumbing services on the day of the incident, and only Roto-Rooter returned our calls and agreed to come and assess the situation on the same day! When the team showed up, they were polite, direct, and quick to identify the issue and explain the next steps. Johnny Minafo was like a superhero for our family. He went above and beyond, and even contacted our insurance directly to help us with our claim. He created the report, sent pictures, and stepped in to serve as our Project Manager since I was dealing with sick kids. Johnny didn't have to, but he coordinated all of the moving parts, and was even there to speak with our contractor! The level of service was excellent. I am not an easy client and texted him likely more times than I should have... but he always replied and made sure we knew exactly what was happening. Wonderful service from leak to restoration. We hope we don't have another leak, but if we do... we are calling Johnny at Root-Rooter Restoration. Thank you for saving the day and helping us through a really difficult time.

I had a drain clogged so I called roto rooter to come out and clear it. They sent out someone who barely knew how to use the equipment and he wasnt able to clear the drain.

THEY CHARGED ME $375 and didn't even fix the problem. The plumber was there for less than one hour.

I ended up calling someone else who cleared the drain in less than 10 minutes for $100

I called roto rooter two seperate times to talk to management about what happened but the manager wont call me back. Ive been polite and calm the entire time but they refuse to talk about the issue.

Live and learn I guess. Hopefully this review saves someone a couple hundred bucks.

We had a leak under the slab. Roto-Roter took care of everything down to the last detail. Alejandro was our on-site plumber and I can't say enough about his professionalism and demeanor, which made me feel at ease with such a stressful situation in my household. From beginning to end Johnny and the team did everything possible to make this repair, quick and complete with respect and professionalism. Thanks to Johhny and Alejandro.

A friend based in Diamond Bar used Roto-Rooter to detect the leak in the slab before regular repair (for which he used a different contractor). According to this friend, Roto-Rooter charges a very reasonable fee between $200-300 and promised to NOT charge him a dime Unless they found the leak. Encouraged by this friend, we also called Roto-Rooter. The technician came, charged $800 up front. He applied his fancy Ulrasonic detecting device and could not find the leak. He charge another $175 to open the walls, and still cannot find the leak. He suggested we pay another $1700 for him to cut open the pipe (without promising if he could find the leak or not. ). His surmise was the water supplying pipe was the one on the left -- which turned out to be TOTALLY WRONG when a regular plumber did cut open the pipe. They way he handled the matter made us unable to him anymore. If his final solution was to CUT OPEN the pipe, who would hire someone with fancy ULTRASONIC Detector and pay for it? If he promised to WAIVE the initial $975 we might have hired him to cut open the pipes. We ended up letting him go, with those ugly holes he made in the wall, and FEELING UTTERLY CHEATED of the $975. We hired a regular plumber for detection and reroute for only $3000. Would NEVER EVER recommend Roto-Rooter!

We needed a simple drainsnaking as our kitchen sink was draining slowly. The clean out is right outside the kitchen window and drains about 60 feet to the street sewer. Roto-rooter would NOT quote me a price nor even give me a ballpark estimate for this simple clean out. In the past we've paid $75-$79 for this procedure. Their technician came took one look at our home and our property (Anaheim Hills) and said $350! We told him he could leave the premises and he said, ""How about $250?"" We said ""No."" He said, ""What about $200?"" Jesus, what is this a garage sale?? THAT told us right there why they won't give a quote up front.... they try to see how much they can get out of you and then try to haggle with you when you say no. MOST UNPROFESSIONAL company we' ve ever dealt with! DO NOT USE!!!

If your willing to pay three times the amount other plumbers or handymen charge call these guys. Unfortunately i was stuck with them when my tenant called them for a leak under the kitchen sink and stopped up drain. They snaked the drain which took no time at all for $325!!! Then wanted another $650 to change out a garbage disposal, are you kidding me? I had it done the next date for $250 including a quality MOEN 1/2 horsepower disposal. They get two stars for being prompt and professional in spite of their excessive prices.

The turn around time and the service with the knowledge of the problem
was a 10. 3 guys showed up. Spider-Man on the roof and the other two assisting the super hero to unclog the nasty tree roots that clogged the drain. it was amazing as they got in there accessed the damage and saved the drain!

For me what a rip off. The tech was very good but the cost to have 1 line cleared which took about 2 mins or less was well over priced. Even at a discounted rate the cost was well over 3 times the cost to have had a name brand company come out and do the work. Very disappointed with RR

Everything backed up and flooded on a holiday weekend. Eddie came out and did a great job and then Andrew came out. The situation looked dire and Aaron got involved. Without going into the messy details these guys were pros and took care of everything very quickly. Kudos to all 3 for a superb job.
