Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

If you read the dissertation, you will remember the refrigerator water/ice maker in the door not working and having them come back out, only to tell us it wasn't their problem and basically had nothing to do with them. Well, I finally called a great plumbing company to come out and hook up the refrigerator water and ice. When they couldn't hook it up I had to explain the previous plumbing job (sheet rock still not repaired due to my knowing something might be found to be wrong and would need to be opened up again). Glad I didn't repair the sheetrock because it was found that Roto-Rooter didn't bother to FINISH the job in the first place. They stopped at the washer and dryer in the laundry room and didn't continue the plumbing job to include up over the ceiling over to the wall behind the refrigerator and down the wall to the back of the refrigerator! The new plumbing company I called finished the job Roto-Rooter did not complete and we now have water and ice!!! It took them only a couple of hours and where they had to cut the sheet rock, they were very careful to do it in such a way that it is easy to repair and not butchered! It cost us $1,900 for them to complete the job that Roto-Rooter refused to complete with their statement that it wasn't their problem! The company that we called to fix and repair said Roto-Rooter should have completed the job and that they, the GOOD plumbers would never leave a job not completed. DO NOT CALL THIS ROTO-ROOTER COMPANY!

Arrived on time and was very helpful, replacing my toilet, after the job was done Reid made sure that everything was clean and ready for use. Very happy with the job and price.

I absolutely can not say enough good about the two different men that came to my house last week ... First guy, James came as an emergency call ... He was professional and informative!!! Did the job!!!

But as this is an older house and new to us we decided to check into the reasoning for the back up ... Especially with 50 people invited to my grandson's birthday the next weekend ... can you imagine? Well Ken came ... he went under the house and did a thorough inspection ... then in plain simple English he explained exactly what he found and explained why it would / could cause problems in the future.

I have to tell you that Ken kept me informed through out the process and SHOWED the pipes that were removed and yes they needed to be ... Ken was EXTREMELY clean and neat ... he protected my home as though it was his mothers or worse my mothers! When he was done you could not tell that I had anyone there ... I guess I should mention that the access to the crawl space is in the front bedroom so he had to really crawl through the muck ... Not a speck of dirt left behind ... Can't say the same for the county inspector!

I definitely would recommend for any plumbing issues!!! Seriously CALL THEM!

Stockton Roto rooter is great. The plumber that did the repair was very nice, thorough, friendly and explained things in detail. Fair price also. Came through in a pinch for my water leak in my basement

Less than no stars. Clueless and incompetent. 3 times in 6 months and each time, the same old story....it's our fault....well folks...they didn't have enough experience to check the pump on the septic system....it needed a new pump motor. They charge bank robber fees and don't guarantee their work. Josh and Jim and the rest of the Roto Fraud unit will not be there for you except to bilk you out of your money. Go see George at Richards Plumbing. Outstanding and experienced. Do not patronize Roto Rooter...your toilet system will not be the only thing being rooted. See Sarah L article. ...same result.

Received an estimate of $138 and ended up paying $225 because the guy took his time on the repair to ensure it went over the one hour estimate. He would complete a task and then undo it and do it over again. He was either unsure of his work or he was trying to screw me. Bottom line is never again will I call these guys.

Absolutely horrible service. Have a water leak in my backyard. The service technician could not fix nor diagnose the source of the leak. Called them back about 6 times and got the run around by incompetent phone jockeys and they just kept pawning the problem off on the city. I dont recommend Roto-Rooter at all. $180.00 and I still have a water leak in my backyard. Way to pay for absolutely nothing. WOW.

No stars. Called them for plumbing emergency on Friday night. Total cost was $506.85. And they had trouble with equipment, had to call someone to help, etc. once work was done he told me that they cannot guarantee their work but would come out next day if problems. Next day we had same problems and called several times and it was several hours before call back. I was told no guarantee. Had to call different company for repairs - so I basically paid $500 for nothing.

We were having issues with tree roots damaging our pipes. Basically, when these guys were called, we were very specific about doing whatever it took to eliminate the ""back-up"" problems by replacing whatever pipes needed to be replaced to avoid future problems. $2100 and 1 year later we were experiencing the same problems.... they didn't want to help nor offer an explanation. But it seems like this is how this type of industry is structured. Very few offer any guarantees..... I called some of their competitors and they are very slimy (no pun intended).... others would offer ""free estimates"" and they would have you wait for hours and hours for them to show up and then when they would show up, they tell you that there is a charge for estimates....apparently they will come over for free, but they won't do anything besides show up and try to ""upsell"" you.

I actually told this guy who was more of a salesman than someone who was there to give us an honest quote that I know the sales games... I was in sales for many years.... He was one of those that tried the old tactic where he says ""Let me call my manager and see if there's anything we can do for you"" .... AS IF I'm special and should feel honored because they were going to give me a free estimate after I was promised one over the phone. Gee, thanks.... I owe you so much for doing this ""just for me"".... because I'm so special.

Anyway, I don't do business with those types and neither should anyone else.... In all fairness, it wasn't this company, but I had to rant about many in their industry.... maybe because a few do this, the others go along and do the same. I don't know.

Just be careful with all of these guys. Have them sign that whatever work they will perform will eliminate ALL the surrounding problems for an extended period of time.... not 6 months like these guys. Get it in writing. For such a pricy job, you would expect better results.

Josh has been to our house three times and has impressed me every time. The guy is honest, trustworthy reliable and a hard worker! Guys like this give Roto-Rooter a good name. I would recommend him to anyone!
