Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I used this company ten years ago for the same problem I called about today. Slow drains in all sinks and tubs and backing up toilets. When I called today I was relieved to get a same day 4pm-6pm service window. A few minutes before 6 my technician called because he was a little lost and so I directed to my home. When he arrived he mentioned he was working a 24 hour shift which seemed rather alarming to start wIth. I proceeded to walk him around the house and explain my issues; backing up and slow drains, and bubbling and gurgling toilets when flushed throughout the house. The water was clear but I worried if I wasn't proactive the problem would get worse. I took him outside to show him our drain line access, which he explained wasn't our main sewer drain line access. He then proceeded to show me some service prices on his tablet raging from $249-300. It seemed like he knew what the problem was since he was talking pricing. He then commented on how odd our plumbing was set up in the home, and then went to his truck to get a wrench. He attempted to remove the drain line access, the one he said wasn't the main line, but it wouldn't budge. He tried a second time, nothing. He hit it a few times with his wrench chipping off a piece of the stucco and tried a third time still wouldn't budge. So he told me there wasn't much else he could do. He suggested I either invest in a main line sewer cleaning access (about $1700) or call another plumbing company that can remove a toilet in my house to assess the problem. He said he wasn't licensed to remove a toilet. I told him I couldn't afford $1700 right now for a new main line cleaning access in my house, I just needed the house drains cleaned like they did before. Again he repeated his suggestions both hugely expensive and neither would help me in the interim. Stunned, I asked him if he could do ANYTHING AT ALL to help me tonight, he said no. Then he suggested I get some liquid draino and try that...and joked that was taboo for him to suggest that. He thanked me for my time and exited my gate. And no joke within seconds of him leaving I got an email and text from Roto-Rooter requesting my review of his service through Google or Facebook. I don't use either platform so here I am on Yelp. Please don't get me wrong he seemed like a very nice young man, maybe he was just exhausted after working so long I don't know. But review what, he literally didn't do anything except tell me to use draino. So here is my review: I wasted two hours anxiously waiting for Roto-Rooter to come out and do what they advertise ""drain clearing"" or something to make the problem better. Instead I was told to get some Draino? Very disappointing ...

Updating my review since yesterday. I used draino as my RR technician recommended and woke up in the middle of the night to backed up and rising sinks, showers, toilets through the entire house. And the water was dark and disgusting and smelled horrible. I went from slow drains and bubbling toilets with clear water to an even worse problem so now I need to call an emergency plumber...thanks RR for your bad advice.

Clyde was our representative, What a fantastic young man. He was our initial contact and, if not for him, we may have used someone else. Clyde made our ordeal so comfortable and his knowledge and expertise kept us calm and at ease. We have a rural septic system and it started backing up, I have limited knowledge but I do understand plumbing. All said and done I am very happy with the results of our experience. The only draw back is the huge cost. I cannot say enough great things about Clyde, Roto-Rooter Should be very proud of him and his expertise in the field. If I were a business owner, I would be doing everything I could to hire that most responsible and caring Man. Thank you so much Clyde.

Came in to fix a clogged pipe in my bathroom. They went to the main valve and didn't bother checking to bathroom . The clogging came back a few days later and we had to contact our landlords worker and they fixed the problem which was in the bathroom . Roto rooter was only at our house for 45 minutes and still charged us the whole price for a job that wasn't completed . Terrible service . Why charge us when you can't fix the problem ? They take advantage of people who don't know the industry.

We worked with Tyler Johnson w/Roto-Rooter in Sac who was excellent. He showed up promptly, was competent, polite, professional, and went above and beyond by going to several different stores until he found the broken pieces that our toilet needed. Can't say enough good things.

Please dont coll them I been having problems for 7 months they do a mayor job the cost me an arm and and a leg to have for 7 month my house smeling like sewer and they dont even whant to came till I tell them about my loyer and they still take there swet 2 weeks to fix the problem witch was they leave a pipe 2 sizes uncover so it was a mess they fix it but me and my son sufer for 7 months plus the mony the I spend bying thing to tray to cover the stupid smell ...NO MORE IM PAYIND A LOT OF MONY FOR THIS THEY DONT DESERVED A STAR NO FROM ME. So i have to rate this or this is no going to be public ok there is go

They came out and gave me an estimate for the work, and 1 to 3 days in duration. I called a local plumber who beat them by about 60% and took about 9 hours.

Called roto-rooter as I was told they are professional. I asked a simple question to whomever answered the phone. "" Do you accept military discount "" the lady immediately changed her attitude to piss poor and directed me to look at their website for discounts. Funny thing is, I was on the website and it told me to call that same number for any plumbing questions or needs. So unprofessional. Its sad to see people with lacking work ethic these days.

I would like to thank the team of rotor rooter that came out to our residents to adress the plumbing & water leak issue we had. Tom and the project manager came out to assess the issue the first day and snake the line. At that time they discovered the where the water was leaking and at that point they knew what to do from there . Thanks to both of them and the rest of the crew Nathan, Stephen, Isaiah & Juan for comming out as a team and getting the job done in a professional timely manner . Also thank you All for making this process less stressful. . Thanks again to the team that came out to my place of residence. I called for an appt, and in less than 2 hours a gentleman came with identification and the roto-rooter truck. Very nice and went to check on the bath tub. It was just debris. Efficient and knowing the subject at hand.

Anything I would will call THANKS SHAWN
