Our service man was Dave Sozomon, tech #0393. He arrived quickly and went to work immediately to isolate the problem and get it fixed. He was very nice. He was very careful to keep everything clean. He was friendly and professional. My husband and I were very pleased with the service we got. We will definitely recommend Roto- Rooter plumbing and Drain service to others.

These guys are awesome!!

We had the misfortune to have an after-dark drain backup, sending icky stuff into various shower pans. Of course, I jumped on the Internet to find a plumber. First call was to Bonney...the receptionist was very nice buy couldn't get a plumber out to us until Monday. I then called several other shops, but no one answered.

I then thought of Roto Rooter. Called them, answered the phone on the first ring. Very nice person at the end of the line told me that they could have someone out in two hours, maybe sooner. Then, after an hour, they called me back to tell me the plumber would be there in 20 minutes.

When Jeremy arrived, he was polite and professional. He did the work with minimal disruption to our family night and completed the job in short order. The cost was reasonable...believe me, I would have paid almost anything to resolve the problem. After all, who wants to sleep in a sewage filled home.

These guys are great...call them if you find yourself in similar circumstances!!

Best service I could have ever imagined. It's litterally the day before my wedding. I'm having friends and family over Friday and Saturday and some staying at my home from out of town while we're on our honeymoon. So needless to say when sewage was backing up into my bathtub tonight we were terrified.

A huge thanks to our technician Mike. A helpful polite and speedy worker. He was out at our house 15 minutes after we called. He cleared our main line in no time and advised us how to maintain it better.

I can't thank Mike enough for relieving us the day before our wedding. We were so stressed and he made everything right in no time. I would reccomend roto rooter services to anyone anytime.

My wife has been noticing a faint smell coming from the Master Bathroom for a while and decided to call Roto-Rooter. The plumber, Bobby, showed up very promptly (within an hour)and was very professional. He reiterated that the estimate for work was free and that we were welcome to call other plumbers if we weren't happy with the estimate. After assessing the problem he mentioned that it was likely being caused by an incorrect seal on the toilet or something behind the wall, however he suspected it was the toilet due to the fact that there was no caulking seal around the base (our other toilet had caulking seal) and the sound that was made when the sinks drained. After discussing the possible issues with us he also advised us to use both sinks occassionally (there are two but only one gets used) since the traps under the sink keep sewer smells out by using the water that gets trapped in them as a barrier. He then gave us an estimate which seemed reasonable for the amount of work to be performed. After removing the toilet he showed us where the wax seal was supposed to be and replaced it. He replaced the supply lines on both toilets which was nice because they looked really old. Overall both my wife and I were happy with the work and Bobby was great and professional and left the area clean. While writing this review, my wife and I were very surprised by the negative on Yelp because they don't reflect our experience. I typically look up ratings on Yelp prior to calling anyone for home services and may not have chosen Roto-Rooter based on the reviews, but I'm glad that I didn't this time because they provided good service. Next time we have a plumbing issue we will call them.

Stay away! I had a clogged pipe that ended up bursting and leaking under my house. I called roto rooter to come out and find the problem and quote me. The only good thing about them was the ETA to the location and the friendly phone person. They said the pipe was clogged and ended up bursting releasing ""gray water"" under the house and thats where the smell came from. They quoted over $1700 to fix the problem and another $3500 to remove the hazardous gray water and cleaning. I figured that seemed steep so I got a second opinion. It ended up being a simple problem that took 1hr to fix and another 35mins to vacuum with a shop vac. I can't believe companies like this are still around and should be ashamed of themselves for these ridiculous quotes. There was a 11inch cut made and another pipe put in its place. They wanted to play up that there was mold, spores, and toxins that needed hazmat suits and cleaning done. It ended being a small puddle of old food, gray water, and whatever else went down the garbage disposal not even sewage.

The whole fix ended up costing me $270 bucks from a local plumber. Saving me $4,930. I will never refer or use this company again just a bunch of crooks up charging ridiculous prices. If you have a plumbing problem call around and try your local plumbers since these big companies lie and try to rob you.

Called in morning for an appointment at 4. Finally arrived after 6. The man was nice but an outrageous bid of $205 for a simple drain clean. He made sure to inform me that it came with a 90 day warranty. Searched for another company and found one that does it for $99 and a one year warranty. I can wait another day for $105.
Here's the one thing I don't get; you're already here, there's easy access to the line with the problem, it's a 15 foot line. Once I informed him of the other option, he told me that's their standard pricing. The job would have taken 15 minutes at best. Why not just do the job and make your money and beat the competition.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Take this warning and do not do business with these people. Let's start with identity theft. The work order (3 page carbon) has your name, your address, your full charge card number, the expiration date, and the code on the back of your charge card and your signature in two places. It is an identity thefts dream come true. And this information is NOT kept secure at all.
Next, let's talk about the condescending, combative order taker. I have had three conversations with her in the past 24-hours and she gets worse with every second. Of course I asked to have the Manager Rick Brashler call me, and she told that he would not be available for a week. Fine, have the substitute Manager in charge give me a call - crickets - no return call.
The service within an hour promise? A joke. Three hours, and then add a ""after hours"" charge of $40.00 on top because by now it is night fall. And, even though they were in the yellow pages printed just for our area, a charge of $25.00 added on for that because of ""being out of the area"". Turns out they only have TWO plumbers, and thus why the very long wait. I found this out because after waiting for a couple of hours, I called the order taker back and she snapped at me that ""no one was available"". The price? They charged me over $300.00 to have my sewer line snaked, and they said it was just muck in the line. There are plenty of plumbers available in the Sacramento regional area - do not lower yourself to doing business with this Roto-Rooter company.
