This company gets 0 stars! If you need major water or sewer repair. Don't deal with these folks! Anything other than a very basic plumbing like clog sink or tub drain they have no knowledge about any other plumbing. Site management fails to admit they can't complete a complex plumbing job but is real good at giving the run around and speaks in bold letters of confidence! I wasted an entire day of having a crew of 2 that were clueless about water line work and having to wait for another crew whom never showed up to my house later on that day I'm basically without water in my house for 2 days and having to call a real plumbing company and miss work because of their dishonesty and ineptness! Thanks for screwing me over! I'll make this a lesson learned.

The toilet in my guest bathroom had been leaking for several days due to a crack in the tank which I was not aware of. When I finally discovered the leak, the bathroom was flooded. I called the first company that came to mind and that was my mistake! The first two gentlemen that came out advised me that it was not a plumbing issue but they could do the water removal and cleanup. They drained the tank and toilet and turned the water off. The second two young men came to do water cleanup and remove damaged floors and baseboards. A few days later, one came back to check the drying, and at some point turned the water in that bathroom back on not knowing it had not been repaired. There was also urine in the toilet. He said nothing to me about it and continued to pack the drying equipment into his truck. My instinct told me to check the bathroom because he was in there for a long period of time with the door closed, and closed the door when he came out. That's when I realized that the water was pouring out of the tank again. I truly believe that had I not gone into that bathroom he would have left and not said a word to me about it leaking again and I would not have known until it completely flooded again. When I confronted him about using the bathroom and turning the water back on he denied it and said he just flushed it because urine was in it. If that were true, why didn't he tell me that the water was leaking again when he noticed it? No one had been in that bathroom since it was drained except him and his partner. I had to tell him to go and drain the water back out of the tank before it flooded again, and the urine! He continued to deny that he had used the bathroom so I requested to speak with his manager. I explained the situation and the manager was defensive, dismissive and condescending and acted as if he was annoyed that I was bothering him with the issue. I called corporate and could only leave a voicemail and five days later, no one has returned my call. There were more issues, but this review is already too long!!! I will never use this company again nor do I recommend any one else using them.

If I could have chosen 0 stars I would have. We called Roto-Rooter to come take a look at what we assumed to be a sewage leak in the line going from our house to the street. The plumber came out to look and informed us he had never seen anything like it, and that the pipe was 6 inches under ground which is not to code. He checked with his supervisor and said that because it existed before the code, he could repair it and estimated about $2400-$3,000 to replace that piece of the pipe. He told us our termite people likely hit it and that we should pass the bill along to them or sue them for damages. This turned out to be completely false. About a 45 minutes later he came back and said he could not """"find the pipe."""" I was confused as he told me it was 6 inches underground. He told me that wasn't the pipe, he just thought it was and it ended up being """"a crazy rock."""" I assumed he would know what a pipe looked like, but that apparently was my misconception. He said he was going to have to call a master plumber with a camera to see what was going on. We waited about another 2 hours for this. After the master plumber came, they came into the house to use the camera through the master bedroom toilet. They took the toilet off the floor to do this. They came in and out the house repeatedly tracking literal crap in with them. There were footprints on the floors and mud/crap in the bathroom as well. We had our cleaning people at our house that day and they plumber made the joke that we were """"going to have to call them back."""" I guess this was true and it would be at our own expense. They also tracked this all over our front and back porches as well. So this ended up being additionally cleaning we had to spend remedying the issues they created. They came with masks on and practiced social distancing at first, but then proceeded to take their masks off to smoke cigarettes and left them off the remainder of the time. From then social distancing was out the window and they began to explain that our pipe had collapsed in 2 places. They explained the damages and the cost estimates to repair it while smoking cigarettes as well. When all was said and done they were estimating about over $14,215 for the total including the """"service"""" they provided that day. When I told them we were going to look around at other estimates, they tried to convince us to use their financing options. We had to pay them just shy of $1,000 to get them to leave. Apparently this paid for them to come over and use a camera, dig a hole in our yard, drag crap all over our house, and leave. We started with a sewage leak under ground and was left with a gaping whole they dug full of actual crap. After getting 2 other quotes for around $4200, we obviously went with someone more cost effective and respectful. They replace the collapsed pipe in a day for essentially 1/3 of the cost. I would not refer Roto-Rooter to my worst enemy. Completely disappointed. It was a waste of our time and money.

Technician came to my house to install a bathroom faucet that I bought at h Home Depot. He wanted to charge $540 for the 1 hour or less job. I sent him on his way. What a bunch of crooks!

If you wish to find a reputable plumbing company DO NOT hire Roto-Rooter of Atlanta. Do not use this company under any circumstances unless you are ok with paying for services that will not be rendered and fraudulent fees. Here's how the go about scamming regular people out of their money. ......by advising clients to file insurance claims to pay for their services. This company takes advantage of homeowners and always quick to threatening people with liens and collections. They are very ghetto, rud, and lastly unethical. They are low-class individuals and you should not have them in your home period. Georgia's laws must not be that great for consumers to allow scums like this company to operate and take advantage of hard-working families. Please do yourself a favor, do not ever do business with Roto-Rooter of Atlanta under any circumstances. Oh, did I mention what they were supposed to have fixed? they were supposed to unclogged my sewer system, was not fixed? They then have the nerve to send me a bill for over $2,400. When my wife and I asked them to email us an itemized bill..... they went absolutely crazy on us. Again, for your peace of mind, Stay away from Rotor-Rooter of Atlanta.

This place is a 100% joke. Came out a year and 2 months ago, took $800 of our money with a smile on their face. They OBVIOUSLY installed our Sump Pump incorrectly, made a bad joint in the PVC, now it's leaking. REFUSED to help us in any way, because """"It's out of warranty."""" Yeah, TWO MONTHS past their labor warranty. In an economy like we are experiencing right now, they REFUSE to just replace their part. STAY AWAY from these crooks.

Updated: So, they missed the initial window but sent me a coupon for a discount off their services. With that, I thought I'd give them another shot. They showed up on time the second time around. The plumber they sent was personable and helpful. Adding a star for him. Their prices though are higher than you'd expect (600+ for replacing a flange, 400+ for a repair of one).

$450 base charge before they even determined how bad the clog was or how long it would take! Outrageous! Basically trying to take advantage of people who are in a pinch!

Got 2 phone calls after I wrote this review but when I called them back no one returned my calls as usual. And no one has been out to see what they did to my neighbors yard. Never Ever use them.

Avoid at all costs if you like your money and want to hire people that respect your property. I was hesitant to call Roto-Rooter after seeing so many bad reviews online and should have heeded the warnings. My wife and I were having backup in our sewer drain line and had a moderate amount of sewerage water back up into one of our bathrooms which we cleaned up with some towels. I had called another plumber earlier in the day who was unable to remove the blockage. We decided to give someone else a chance and called Roto-Rooter. They said they would be out within 2 hours and called about 1.5 hours later saying they were 30 minutes out. I explained the problem and was told that he needed to snake through the toilet line. He immediately told me it would be $660 to do this work. I had to ask about the cost if he couldn't clear the line. He told me it would be $330 which I thought was ridiculous. Anyway, I authorized the work and he got started. The first thing I noticed was the shoe covers he put on the first time he came in the house never went back on his feet. He walked in and out of our bathroom and through our house without shoe covers after walking in our recently flooded bathroom. I was very clear that this had happened, but no precaution was taken to protect or respect our home. He brought in the snake machine which was too large to fit through our bathroom door. He removed the door and wheeled in the machine. I had towels used to clean up the overflow water on the bathroom floor which he threw into our sink right next our toothbrushes. I couldn't believe that he did that. He knew they were on the floor with the sewage water. He tried to clear the line and was unable to clear it. He immediately tried to sell me a $500 camera service which he said I had to pay for before he left. I told him I didn't want to do that with them. He rolled his machine out (again with no shoe covers on after being on our dirty floor) and reinstalled the door. I paid him his failed job money and he left. I walked back to the bathroom and noticed it was substantially dirtier than before (now there was sewage on the walls around the toilet), there were scrapes on our tiles, and wheels marks on our doors. I called the manager the next day and was told it was not their job to clean up and insisted that the plumber had done their job. Not listening or caring about the disrespect to my home, the call ended with me being even more upset than before. This company does not care about you and will charge you way more than any of your local companies that care about you as a customer. Do yourself a favor and avoid Roto-Rooter at all costs. They will not treat your home as their own, they will not care about you or your family, and they will charge substantially more than other companies even if they don't fix the problem.
