I live in a hundred year old home on the North Shore of Long Island (border Queens/Long Island). One recent evening I heard a dripping sound but as it was raining, I figured it was on the outside of the house. Much to my dismay however, the next morning I realized the dripping was actually water leaking through the walls from a 3rd floor toilet, through the floor boards and through the ceiling of the 2nd floor. I was in a complete panic as I ran upstairs to try and assess the situation as the toiler was now overflowing and water was everywhere. Not only was there a slow leak from the toilet, but it was now overflowing in the walk-in shower with no possible end in sight. I rigged up some sort of gizmo to abate the flow, but knew it was only a matter of time before it really became a disaster. The first plumber I called came and assessed a very grave situation, requiring ""at least two full days of work, tearing up the floor and the ceiling below"" which would also require a carpenter and a lot of money...but he wasn't able to do it. The 2nd plumber walked into the room, looked around and walked out saying the job required a very skilled plumber(?)...At this point, I was incredibly frustrated and concerned for what could be happening. Around 6pm the doorbell rang and there was ROTO-ROOTER's Everett Smith (Angel Plumber!) Not only did I NOT expect a plumber to make house calls after 5pm but never could I have imagined one who would not leave until he (alone) fixed the job to completion. With years of plumbing school experience under his belt, here was a man that not only knew what he was talking about, but had a solution and saved me money. He was incredibly knowledgeable and explained both the problem and his resolve to the issue before he made a move. He provided me with an advance cost estimate and broke it out line item by item assuring I understood what and why he was doing all he did. As it turned out, the job was not as grave as Plumber #1 nor Plumber #2 conjectured. And not only did Everett completely fix the issue, but he was incredibly competent, thorough, conscientious, cleaned up better than I ever could have imagined, extremely respective of me and my home, personable and caring, meticulous and passionate and took pride in doing an excellent job. The proof is in the pudding and I've never had a better ""plumber"" experience before. I HIGHLY recommend Roto-Rooter & Everett Smith.

The best service ever timely prompt and efficient Louie tech number 1372 was the best plumber that I ever had the chance to work with I am located in Massapequa New York and he came within 15 minutes of my call of a sewer mainline overflowing when he found it wasn't the main he still cleaned it up then removed my toilet and pulled out a 2 foot rag that was dropped into the line during construction which was the culprit. He even carried the old broken toilet out to the curb for me and cleaned up quite thoroughly I am very impressed and I give my highest recommendations and ratings to Louie number 1372 thank you brother

I called this brand name sewer specialist on a Sunday morning. Peter arrived about one hour after my call. He was professional, fast and shared lots of information about how to prevent the problem in the future. They accepted a discount coupon and charged about $150 less than the first plumber who fixed the same problem about 15 years before. Good work.

I am writing because I had a 100 year old galvanized pipe that was leaking in our kitchen. My husband tried to take it off but part of it fell off and the other half remained. We called Roto-Rooter and luckily, Hank showed up with his trainee. (He came to our house once before and was very professional) We were so happy. He explained the procedure, finished in less than 1 hour, and had our kitchen sink working again. In addition, he maintained a clean environment at all times. The price wasn't bad either. With a 6 month warranty, you cannot beat that. I would recommend Roto-Rooter at any time.

Toilet would not flush. Snaking toilet did not work. He located main sewer line, discovered it wass blocked and cleaned it outUnder an hour and we were flushing again. Plumber was professional, explained everything and costs, and did job well.

My toilet backed up and I was really pressed for time. I called Roto-Rooter and the serviceman was at my home within the hour. He was polite and friendly, and fixed the problem. It all took about 30-45 minutes. I would definitely use them again in a pinch.
