Unprofessional, upped the price from the original quote, and did not follow through. The answering service connected me with their rep who came out right away. They were very pleasant and let me know that they could replace the next day. They told me it would cost about the same to do a tank or tankless (should have been my first warning sign) and quoted me verbally $2,300. I asked for an estimate in writing for both the tank and tankless and he said he would do that and have it for me in the morning so I could approve and they could install in the afternoon. No estimate came so I called around 3pm (answering service again). When he called me back he gave me an estimate over the phone and when I asked for it in writing he seemed really surprised. He sent me an estimate much later since he was in the field that did not include an estimate for a tank water heater and showed an estimate of $3,023.39 which was way more than we talked about and maybe trying to upsell on a different unit? I responded asking for an estimate for a tank heater which he texted to me at $1265 (no official estimate). I also asked for an itemized estimate for the tankless. But he told me he was off work and wouldn't do any more that evening (kind of understandable as it was after 5 at that point). So, at the end of the day where I had expected to be done we hadn't even gotten the estimate I had asked for so I decided to start looking elsewhere. The following day he told me he couldn't get me an estimate until that evening and then ghosted me. I haven't heard from him in 8 days (still no estimate). I am glad that I had already started the process of getting a different company to come out or we would have been without hot water for a very long time. The other company installed for $2200.

I found out Roto-rooter installs on-demand water heaters only after every local plumber with good reviews was too busy - impacted by Covid. This team was great! I got quick response on the cost estimate and on the work. Knowledgeable on propane installs, Shawn helped choose a replacement heater that was high-efficiency while minimizing the venting and other work to keep costs down. New to septic, I also got some good advice on maintaining and service needs of my system. I sure like my new hot water supply!

The guys in Ukiah are literally the best! Life savers! With everything going on right now and so much uncertainty it was such a stressful situation to learn that roots were taking over my sewage lines. I'm home with my little kids all day, which my youngest has some health hiccups that make it so we are on full blown lockdown at the moment. So having sewage water coming up in my backyard felt overwhelming...but the awesome and thoughtful guys at Ukiah Roto-Rooter were helpful, kind, and got the job done right away. I literally cannot thank them all enough. So yes, I highly recommend, and I will only be going through them from here on out. Thank you all.

He was able to walk me through to some diagnostics as it was late and they won't be able to scope my drainage line.

I'm doing a remodel and moved 2 electric water heaters over to move a wall. When all was hooked up again, one hot water heater wasn't producing hot water. I was delighted that Roto-Rooter came the same day I called, and discovered that I had hooked up the wires wrong and the heater was not getting power. They rewired everything and even added a missing ground. But the heater was still not producing hot water. Although I had mentioned the possibility that an element had burnt out while they were there, they just assumed it was a wiring problem, and didn't test the elements. Yesterday, I tested the resistance of each element and discovered, as I had suspected, that one element was burnt out. I drained the tank and replaced the lower element. Fortunately, the local hardware store carried a replacement element. I fixed it myself.

Call these guys first! If you are in Ukiah and need septic servicing you can stop looking. I made the mistake of calling the other local company first and it was a nightmare of incompetency and rudeness.

Had noticed that the shower and tub were backing up into each other late into the night, and tried to plunge, and use a snake to see if we could fix the problems ourselves. After fighting with it for a few hours, I caved and decided to call a plumbing service in the morning. From 6AM to 8AM, in-between my morning routine, I had called 14 different places in our town/county. All of them were booked for a day or longer, some up to ten days, or didn't provide the service we wanted. About to give up and just accept fate that I wouldn't be able to use our bathroom for what could be a few days, I saw a Roto-Rooter van drive down the street. I said the number to myself as they drove by and made what would be my 15th call to a place. Immediately the phone was answered, and I expected to hear the same thing, totally booked, too busy, or couldn't help. Nope! I was told a technician could be at my home within the hour. Showed up about a half hour later. The technician was very helpful in teaching and explaining the problem. Turned out to be a clog 75 feet away from our bathroom; never would have guessed. Educated us on the type of pipes we have, explained what to do since our pipes are at a slight incline, and general preventative maintenance. Took about an hour and a half, very prompt, clean job considering the mess that was already there, and fair pricing. Had no idea they are also 24/7.

We were charged over $600 an hour for labor and a grand for $200 in materials and when we spoke up about it the business owner called us and yelled at us for saying anything. The workmanship was good and the guys working there were professional other than the concrete footprints they left behind we can't wash away. I'm beyond upset right now.
