We 100% got it right with Ross and Jack's. The time came for a major landscaping job. It entailed over 110 plantings, front yard to back. The backyard cement walkway and patio needed to be removed and redesigned. We knew it was going to be a big financial commitment so we wanted to get it right. Ultimately we relied heavily on Yelp reviews and staying with a local company.

Mike Spatola came out and created a great design. He listened to us and executed a beautiful plan. He was completely honest and his quote itemized every single thing. We knew exactly how much we were paying for each individual plant and piece of sod. He introduced us to Luis with Beautiful Stones, Inc to do the cement work.

The Ross and Jack's crew were a phenomenally hardworking group in cold, rain and even snow. Mike was right on top of everything to ensure we were happy.

When it came time for the cement work, Mike was there to coordinate with Luis. Everything went seamlessly and the outcome was perfection.

My wife and I can't praise Ross and Jack's enough. We would recommend them to our family and friends with zero hesitation. If your main priority is to get a job done right with a quality outcome, they will deliver.

Very happy with my experience with Ross & Jack's Landscaping. We needed to first level a small hill to prep for a fence and then put in a rock barrier after fence install. Was out looking for a company to trim some way overgrown bushes in front of the house , was refereed to this company by a friend of a friend . They came out told them what I WANTED done , and agreed on a price ( since then found out I way over paid ) and then waited for 2 weeks for someone to finally show up to do the work . I was not home but My daughter and Mother were . The crew did the work and left , no letting them know they were done , I was told I would have to pay the crew CASH , but now I see they accept credit cards , but they left and I guess Michael was gonna stop by later to see their work , get my opinion on it and collect payment seeing how this was the first(and last) time using their service .

So a week or so goes by , no phone calls , no emails , no stop by, nothing . I did get a bill in the mail just saying payment is due upon receipt , no note asking how they did , how does it look , how I am with it nothing ... Payment was made and mailed out Immediately , The last thing I need is someone bugging me for payment on a very bad service rendered. But today I get a "" Thank you "" card from them , a little too late for that .

I asked for the two bigger bushes to be cut back to the divider along the yard and where the bushes were , They weren't, they still hang over by about 2 feet past where I wanted them cut too. The same was with the two by the sidewalk , , I wanted them behind the pavers so the sidewalk would be clear to walk , Again , they weren't still over the sidewalk in anyone's walking way . They also trimmed along the house were some of the taller bushes, were rubbing against the house and wires , what was done was a hack job and not even made to look decent.

Now some people I have read reviews about this company from other customers , who swear they are the greatest company since Edward Scissorhands , Sorry I do not agree or would even refer them , It seems they care more about the big dollar yards than smaller yards and trimmings . It is like once they get your money , they are gone , don't care about their work or the customer's requests, and are never coming back ... ever . I hope this review helps anyone interested in their services to have second thoughts about using them

Outstanding service and quality of work. Lots of options for landscape companies in the area, but so happy we chose Ross & Jack. We hired them for a fairly major hardscape and landscape project for our house in Elmhurst. Timely, with great communication and wonderful results! Mike is a true professional.

A few years ago I lost me local landscaper who primarily focused on grass cutting and weeding. After trying multiple landscaping companies, I found my front yard turning yellow from the dandelions and back yard turning purple from the Creeping Charlie entering from the surrounding areas. I contracted Ross and Jacks as that time and they came with a full team of people the first time out. They trimmed the trees and overgrown shrubs, got the mulch down in early summer and treated the yard for various weeds. No matter what they always show up and bushes and shrubs get trimmed when needed, without me asking them about it. They have someone who inspects the work and provides updated as needed. They are professional and reliable and I would highly recommend them. I have attached pictures.

My wife and I just completed our first experience with Ross and Jack's, and could not be happier. We dealt with Michael throughout, and he could not have been more helpful, communicative, and timely. After our initial conversation discussing ideas for our yard, I was not feeling it, so I asked for more options. Michael had a variety of additional options ready for me in short order, and we picked the one that worked best for us and moved forward.

Everything was detailed and itemized in our written estimate. When it came time for the work to be done, their communication was, once again, timely and appreciated. They set up the visit from JULIE, and emailed the day or two before the project began to confirm timing. They arrived each day right on time. The project itself was completed efficiently and, most importantly at a very high quality level. The crew of workers did a really great job, and were always actively attending to some aspect of the project. Michael stopped by multiple times during the project to make sure things were on track and to answer any questions.

Hiring landscapers can be a bit of a crap shoot, but based on our first experience dealing with Michael and Ross and Jack's, you really can't go wrong with them. Thank you to everyone who helped with our project!
