I called them the morning of New Year's Eve, and they had my leaky toilet fixed by 3pm. They were very easy to work with from start to finish. The price was a little higher than I expected, but that's kind of the norm now.

Online ad says $99 Drain unclogging Service. I know where the clog is and it's just a little far for my snake. I call and they send over a guy that quotes me $350 to start and says there may be more involved.

Toilet stopped up and they came out in a couple of hours, and seemed to fix things for around six hundred dollars. Then stopped up again two days later they came out again fixed it no charge. That was yesterday. Now it is stopped up again and Rosenthal Plumbing has an answering service (very nice lady there, she is now as frustrated as I am) who tried to no avail to reach someone. No dice. So ... am I happy? Well, they made 2 trips for a serious problem (only toilet in the house), it's not fixed, they charged a lot, and now they are MIA, What's not to like?

Abel was wonderful. On time, knowledgable and great to work with. Thank you for coming out so quickly.

I called on Monday requesting a plumber to fix a leak in our whole house filter system, they promised someone would come Friday am to fix it. Thursday afternoon at 3 pm they called and cancelled, ""cannot come this week"". Less than 24 hours? Unacceptable. I do not recommend them!

Great service. We called about our garbage disposal not working and they sent over Abel. He had it fixed in no time at all and showed me how to fix the problem myself. He was very friendly, and in the end didn't even charge us for what ended up being a simple problem. This is our second time using their service and we have been very satisfied both times.

Very disappointed with this plumbing company. They had done a toilet install and was the most expensive quote and only dropped the quote by $200 after I told them what others were quoting. $200 is a lot to drop. They did a good job on this install.
Second call was to look at whether there was a leak under the house when I saw signs of water having been there. After inspection, he explained that after the rains the water had probably seeped up under the house but did not appear to have a pooling issue. He had seen other houses with similar after the rains the year before. But then he suddently decided that I needed a full repipe at my house and made up a bunch of stuff about why. His quote.....drum role....$20,000+. This quote came complete with scare tactics about my pipes possibly bursting in my walls etc. I would never take advise like this without getting another opinion, especially at this price tag. (And I don't want to be taken advantage of) I called a friend of mine over the hill who is a plumber. He came up to check it out. He said there was no evidence that the pipes were bad. He said that the person who installed the copper pipe didn't sweat the joints properly and therefore it is why you see the green, but there really isn't a problem. The pipes looked fine no signs of holes. He went on to tell me that the tactic that Rosenthal used is a tactic a lot of plumbers use to scare ""single or old women"".
This is not an ethical practice and frankly I will never use them again. Beware buyer!

Just had a big job done by Corbin and he was Awesome! We had other companies give us bids on this job and Rosenthal came in at half the cost of others. I was initially skeptical, as the bid was so much lower than others but I was more than happy with the work done and even moreso by Corbin's professionalism and knowledge. I will definitely be contacting Rosenthal for my future plumbing needs and will be referring them to others in need of such services. Thank you!!!

I had responded to a stick-on ad for this company on the front of the Santa Cruz Sentinel. Seeing another one of those ads today reminded me of the BAD EXPERIENCE I had with this company. Actually it was quite BIZARRE. I made an appointment to have my main waste line snaked. A very pleasant young woman arrived to do the work. She also had an older male helper with her. They brought the power snake to the clean-out, and began running the cable down into the line. A very odd thing that I noticed though, was that there was no cutting bit attached to the end of the cable. It was just the cable with a 45 degree bend near the end (which would produce a sort of sweeping effect for the solids, but would not cut through roots or other substantial blockages). After running the snake through the line for awhile, a cable camera was put into the line which showed a bunch of roots. I was told by the young woman that the line would need to be dug up and replaced. At this time I explained to her that if she had a cutting bit on the end of her snake, it would have cut the roots out of the line and it would be clear (the whole reason you call Roto-Rooter, duh !) She said she would look on her van for a cutting bit. When she couldn't find one, she said she was leaving to go back to her shop to get a cutting bit. She left, but returned, only to tell me that her company had decided to stop attaching cutting bits on the snakes because of equipment damage. NOW THIS is a load of hooey. I don't know if this business is trying to fool old folks into expensive and unnecessary repairs, but my experience was very very suspicious.

Well I have no choice but to give Rosenthal Plumbing a 5 star rating. They came out within 2 hrs of being contacted (mid afternoon), and assessed the situation, and made plans to do the required work the following morning. Their representative Brandon explained my options and the cost. Brandon kept me informed of the progress every step of the way. Jose was also a pleasure to meet. Jose was careful to remove the part of the lawn he needed to dig in so that he could replace it without looking like it had been disturbed. Thanks Jose, my wife is a lawn person and appreciates it too. Everything was cleaned up neat and tidy. This was a nasty job I didn't want to tackle. Very pleased. Forgot to mention that we were offered a 15% senior discount without asking. It is also appreciated.
