We're new home owners, never had septic. Our septic backed up almost a year into owning our house and after reading up on reviews of local septic technicians, we went with Rooter Tech. They hydro-jetted the system, but told us our pipe from the house to the septic was the ""wrong kind"" and quoted us $1700 to dig it out and replace it. We decided to wait on that.

Fast forward 9 months, and the system is backing up again. A friend who works in construction looked at it for us and said that not only was the pipe indeed for septic systems, but also there was a piece of the pipe that jutted out into the tank, and that's what was causing our system to back up. He literally just cut back the piping and it cleared up.

These people were going to charge us $1700 for replacing something that didn't need to be replaced. For putting a bandaid on something that could have been easily fixed just by cutting the pipe that stuck out too far. So unethical. Would.Not.Recommend.

PS- this owner is trying to say I'm lying and I'm not. There are no roots in our line, they never said anything about roots when they were at our house (much less cut them, my spouse was there the whole time) and there are no trees or bushes anywhere near the line from the house to the septic. The line WAS sticking out at the time, and it was commented on by this company. My friend cut the pipe and it fixed the situation immediately. Another septic company came out and said it looked great. It doesn't matter if this was 9 months ago, we know what was told to us, because we had sticker shock and were very worried about having to replace the line. Also, we bought the house in May 2020 and had it fully inspected, no reports of roots in the line at all.

Chose these guys based on their 5-star review, and after they completed a job for me today, I totally agree with that rating! Junior and his assistant showed up punctually, quickly diagnosed my leaky faucet, recommended a replacement, procured and installed the new unit the same day. It's nice to get competent help when you need it...thanks!

The day before thanksgiving needed the sink fix, they came in the matter of time and fix it in one hour. Saved thanks giving and was professionally courteous throughout the job.

Truly the best plumbing experience I've ever had. We had a backed up toilet and we're dreading a huge wait. I called 3 highly recommended plumbers who never even called me back. Another said he couldn't do it and referred me to someone else who told me we'd have a 6-8 week wait.
So I called Rooter Tech based on Yelp reviews. They answered right away, said they could come this afternoon and called me back with an estimated time shortly after.
I was working so my mom met them - she was amazed. The plumber, Junior, clearly explained the problem, cost, have advice for preventing it in the future, and cleaned the place up.
My mom says she's never had a better plumber and she's dealt with a lot of these issues.
They will be my go-to for any plumbing needs in the future.

This company came to the rescue when my suddenly leaky toilet turned into a massive plumbing disaster! They were immediately able to help, worked tireless hours and did an excellent job. They are extremely communicative, respectful and professional. They were also able to work with me on financing which was essential given this turned into a much larger job than we'd expected (hundred year old home...). I certainly HOPE I never have to use their services again but wouldn't hesitate to call them (or refer them to friends) if I did.

The techs were on time and able to figure out the problem quickly. It didn't take long to fix the problem and they gave me a good description of the problem and how to fix it. Very knowledgeable and polite. If I need plumbing service again, I'll be calling Rooter Tech again.
