In 1970, Donald MacDonald established Rooter-Man in North Billerica, Massachusetts. Through dedication, integrity, and a commitment to resolving plumbing and drain issues, Rooter-Man evolved into one of the largest plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning firms in the Northeastern United States. The franchising journey for Rooter-Man started in 1981, selecting only the finest talent in plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning to operate under the Rooter-Man name and service guidelines. Due to remarkable growth and achievements, Rooter-Man now boasts a network of over 480 locations throughout the United States and Canada. For the past decade, Entrepreneur Magazine has recognized Rooter-Man as the top franchise opportunity in the Plumbing, Sewer, and Drain Cleaning category (2003-2012). Every Rooter-Man franchise is independently owned and operated at the local level. In 2003, my wife and I seized the chance to acquire an existing Rooter-Man franchise. We invested our remaining savings and brought along our three young girls. Brenda felt anxious, but I remained assured, drawing from my extensive experience in sewer and drain cleaning. We expanded gradually, growing our territory and team, creating a family-like atmosphere we cherish. Through our efforts, our daughters, and learning from mistakes, we continue to evolve. We have gained valuable knowledge from other franchise owners; being part of this extensive network has been rewarding. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the public and expand our business as we raise our children.
