With a name like Rooter Man, you might think that they just do simple household plumbing. Nope. They do it all, and they do it well. I had a major unexpected plumbing issue necessitating that I change out my septic system to a city sewer connection. I had to have it dealt with as expediently as possible. When I finally called Rooter Man OC, the office staff was friendly and receptive, sending out Daniel Miranda and Eric, whose last name I have forgotten, that very afternoon. They were professional, communicative, and friendly, and they got to work right away. Because the work needed city permits, Daniel went to city hall that day while Eric started surveying the work needed to be done. Daniel didn't just apply for permits. He built a relationship with the city sewer department, and acted as our advocate in what could have been a much more difficult and costly process than it ended up being.
Eric was also great. During the process I thought I had an issue because my front bathroom smelled worse everyday. He showed up that day. Turned out it was just clogged. I was embarrassed but he was so understanding and progressional.
The work took awhile, mostly because the city was slow, being partially shut down because of Covid. Nonetheless, Daniel was on it. As I was getting ready to text him that it looked like the city was finishing up with some street work that needed to be completed before the hook-up could be, he texted me. The city had already reached out, and he was already on his way with crew of workers, who would survey the completed city work, then come back the next morning at 8am.
As for expense? It couldn't be helped. It was a big job, and RMOC's prices were about the same as other quotes without the weeks and even months of waiting for an appt that other companies claimed they needed. I'm very grateful that I found this company. They're good people.

The service was fast and very affective, which we were looking for and desperately needed.. Hands down the technician Jacob extremely knowledgeable about what was done and the life of the job. A 50 yr plus, warranty was included. I will definitely share my experience with neighbors and coworkers. I will continue to call Rooter-Man for all of our plumbing needs.

We had a major landscape drainage blockage issue that Rooter Man assessed and fixed quickly. My backyard was flooding but they identified the issue quickly and came up with a re-routing plan that would be the least disruptive to my landscape and my trees. Fernando and his team did an amazing job. They were always very respectful, professional and kept me in the loop the entire time. They walked me thru the decisions and progress and did a great job with clean up. I would highly recommend the company.

We had an issue with a drain not being installed properly in our new home and it was entirely backed up. Rooter man came out promptly to help us. Fernando did such a nice job from start to finish. The project took 3 days-he was prompt, respectful of our time and keeping us informed with the job, responsible, neat, and worked extremely hard to remedy the issue we were having. Daniel was the supervisor and he was very informative in getting us all the information and making sure the job was done properly. I would definitely use this company again and Fernando was a super star! Thank you very much !

Rip off. Tried to tax me 1200$ then talked about breaking my floors. Called someone else for 200$ and got my drains fixed after they telling me what couldn't be done.

I had a schedule appointment with Rooterman for Monday 9/20/21 between 9:30 am and 11:30am with Jimmy.

However, he showed up at around 1:30pm. I received a call from Jimmy at around 4:00PM stating he needed to use the water jetting, the snake, and the video inspection for a total cost of $1,242.07. The total invoice was due before he was to begin any work at the house. I agreed to pay the total invoice, he told me he needed to go to Home Depot to buy a part for the toilet.

At around 6:30PM he came back to the house to work on the issue (presuming from Home Depot). Note: even though he arrived at the house at 1:30pm he began the work at 6:30PM

I received a call from him at 7PM stating he found a towel inside the pipe, and he was working on removing the towel from my pipe. At 8PM I received a video call from him, showing me the towel and that he was working on unclogging the pipe.

At 9:40PM I received another call from him as he was driving, stating he couldn't unclog the pipe because the pipe was full of tree roots and rotten and he was coming back the next morning with his manager to give me an estimate to replace the sewer pipe.

The next morning 9/21, he arrived at the house at around 11:30 AM , he video conference me and my husband at around 12:10PM to show us video of the pipe that according to him shows the tree roots. The video quality through a video call was very poorly and we weren't able to see much specially since we are not expert on pluming. He told us the cost would be around $12,000 to replace the sewer pipe from the house to the street.

We told him we needed to think about it since it was a lot of money. He was very persistent and told us we needed to decide right then or he was leaving. Which we told him he could leave. However, he was in the house until 2:46PM(not sure what he was doing). I received a text message at 2:48PM from Rooterman with the below invoice for $1,492.63 for that day invoice.

$ 199.95 for something we did not approve as he was only to go to the house to give us a quote.
$720 from the prior day (9/21) for afterhours service even though
1) He arrived at the 1:30pm
2) Didn't provide me with a quote until 4:00pm
3) Left the house at 4:00pm and didn't come back until 6:30pm
4) Left the house at 9:00PM

$480, I guess was for staying at the house even though we told him to leave.

I disputed that invoice Rooterman.

I called another pluming company to go to the house to get a second opinion. The second company was charging us $600 dollars to do the jetting, snake and video. The second company arrived on 9/21/21 at around 2:46PM as Jimmy was leaving my house. The second company was able to unclog the pipe in less than a hour and was able to see using the video that there was no tree roots and the pipe was in good condition. We no longer have a pluming issue and water is flowing throughout the house with no issue.

It's obvious Jimmy didn't do any work at the house, he didn't even attempted to fix the issue and he was after making me spend $12,000 for something I didn't needed it.

They are taking advantage of an emergency situation to SCAM others.

I had a horrible experience with them.
It started off by giving them a call in the morning. They were able to make it over by two, in the afternoon. Which was great!
My husband was impressed by their $49 service. However we ended up paying $2,100. After they ran the snake to unclog the drain, they told me there was a stoppage, and part of the plumbing line had collapsed. They advised me to keep the water off.
They quoted me between $1,800 - $2,100 to fix the broken pipe, and install a clean out. I asked them if they could look to see if I had a clean out already. However they assured me because my house was built in 1960, and they didn't install clean outs at that time. I told them I would need to talk to my husband (he was at work at the time)..
I tried calling around for a second opinion just because 2100 was a lot of money, for replacing 2 ft. of pipe. Between me being busy, working from home, and my husband at work, no running water .
I decided to have them go forward with the repair for @ $2,100. Abou two hours later. When they were almost finished with replacing the 2 foot of pipe. They told me there was another blockage further up in the pipe., And they would need to call their boss out to quote me. Their boss came out and showed me a camera that they had put down the pipe, and showed me a dark screen which he told me was a blockage. After measuring they told me that they would need to replace 55 feet of pipe and the quote was $11,000, and I would definitely not find a better price. I told them I would definitely need a second opinion, because that was a lot of money. My husband had come home from work and called the city office. They came out really quickly to check if the pipe blockage was their responsibility to repair or ours depending on where the blockage was. They had two different technicians look for the blockage. They told us they did not see any blockage other than some tree roots that will eventually need to come out. They also pointed out where our clean out was and circled it with spray paint. They said they're not sure where the 55 foot of pipe estimate was coming from. They said it was only 32 feet to the sewer.
When I called the Rooter Man plumber, and relayed the information the city had given us, About them not seeing any blockage from the sewer line to our home or vice a versa. And they also pointed out the clean out that we already had. They really didn't want to talk to us after that they would come over at 8 AM the following day to finish backfilling the dirt, from the first repair. they did not show up when we called they told us they forgot and they'll be back the following morning at 8 AM. They did not show up again my husband had to call and threaten them that we would hate to have to put a reversal on our $2,100 CC payment. They came 20 minutes later and backfilled the initial repair.

All our plumbing is working fine without the second repair they quoted as for $11,000.

all in all I don't feel like they are honest and I and would not recommend them to anyone I know. So just warning for the next person.

Use them at your own risk, but consider yourself warned.

Wow! Just as honest as a politician!
Advertises a $49 special for a drain clog specifically for the bathroom! When call some how doesn't apply and it's $129!!!!
WTF, says specifically in the ad! Talk about bait and switch!
Don't advertise a special if it's not even real!!!?
