I contacted Velavi to come out to give me an estimate to install an entirely new central heating and air conditioning system in my home. The house had never had a system before so I needed everything from the condenser to the ductwork to the cut in of new vents in the ceiling. I also have a partial flat roof with no attic above it for ducts so I needed exposed sheet metal ducts on top of my roof. I even needed an all new electrical panel to replace the 50 + year old one that was there.

Estimate - I had already had a couple of other local companies out to give estimates before Velavi so I knew what I wanted, I was just looking for pricing and comfort level with the company that I would eventually use. Jose came out, arrived on time and was very professional and polite. Because I knew what I wanted it didn't take him long to look around to get the information he needed for the estimate. He didn't try to talk me into anything like a mini split system which I did not want. I asked him to give me an estimate on four different models and he said it wasn't a problem. He left and the next day I received the four estimates in great detail via email. I was surprised at the cost as the other estimates I received were much higher. With that in mind I had some concerns about exactly what would be done by the other companies that Velavi may not be including. I discussed my concerns with Jose and every question I asked he had the answer for. They were doing everything that the others were doing (and telling me that others may not do). Velavi even included an offer they were promoting here on Yelp that others were not. I was convinced they were doing everything needed and that they would be doing it correctly so I decided to go with them.

Installation - I was told the installation would take three days. The installers (and Jose) arrived on time the first day, walked me through a few things and then got to work. Ricardo was the lead on my job and he was great. He would answer any questions I had and I felt very comfortable that everything would go well. I felt comfortable enough with him and his crew that I was able to leave them working in my home while I went to work. They were even very respectful of my pets and keeping doors closed while they were working. As the job went on I wasn't sure they would meet the three day time frame because there was so much to do but sure enough they were able to do it all including the new electrical panel in the time they said. On the last day, when the installation was complete, Ricardo was very patient as we walked the job and discussed and corrected a few small issues such as a vent that would stick a little when adjusted. They took care of each issue on the spot.

Overall - As I said, there were small issues as the job progressed, nothing major, but this is to be expected with any job this size. A good contractor isn't perfect, it is how they handle the issues that come up along the way and Velavi handled them with professionalism and promptness. I am admittedly tough to please but Velavi really impressed me. I would recommend this company to anyone needing their services. Give them a chance to earn your business and I don't think you'll be sorry.

I recently called Velavi to assist with my AC that was not working. They were fast and efficient with getting this scheduled. The gentleman who came out was very nice, wearing a mask, and professional. I did have a small issue with the recommendation made for my unit, and I contacted customer service. Jose called me this morning and was so accountable and ready to ensure I was happy. Right after we spoke Vaneza called me with in a few minutes to ensure everything was finalized. I usually don't write reviews but I was really impressed with Jose and how nice and understanding he was. And I read reviews myself to ensure I go with the right company. I requested quotes from several companies and got a wide range of prices. To service my central AC unit I was given quotes from 150$-450$.

After making some follow up questions we decided to go with Velavi because of competitive price and they could fit us in that same week. Great I thought. Let's do it.

On the day of the appointment the service tech never showed up. I sent a follow up message and was given some excuse about the computer system being down and blah blah blah is what I heard.

To their credit they sent a technician out on the next business day. The tech was masked and cleaned out the filters that had ten years of gunk. They cleaned out the coils checked the levels and connections. They AC was running like a champ again.

So in conclusion,
I am giving them a 5 star rating because
1) they admitted that they made a mistake by missing the first appt.( who here has never made a mistake)

2) they were upfront about their pricing and what was included

3)the technician didn't try and add any made up services that we would need and showed me exactly what he was doing.

4) finally, they knocked off 25$ for missing that first appointment. That was greatly appreciated

I contacted Velavi to do the yearly maintenance/filter change on my HVAC system. They responded quickly and had me on their schedule the same week. The technician was very knowledgeable and did a great job. The work was done better than I expected and I will definitely call Velavi again!

OKAY! Where do I even start?! I needed someone to come in ASAP during these record high temperatures and I was on Yelp at around 7PM on Sunday and within 10 minutes we were booked for 9/8! Jordan was able to come before the appointment which was even better because I am currently 8 months pregnant and DYING in this heatwave! Thankfully, Jordan arrived and got straight to work and was able to detect the issue almost instantly! He was super fast and helpful and was able to get our downstairs vents going as well! We haven't been able to figure the problem with that out in over 5 years! Thank you so much, Jordan! I will definitely refer you over to friends and family for the prompt and excellent service!!!!

On the hottest day in LA county history, my AC broke. It was also labor day weekend, on the Sunday. With a 4 year old at home, and cooling stations closed due to CoVid-19, I was panicked. Velavi responded to me within the hour, and set me up for the first appointment the next day, which again was Labor Day. My condenser was broken, they had the part in the van, and we were back to full AC within one hour of arrival. To say they were easy, amazing, and well priced is an understatement. Thank you so much for helping us! Another big plus is their customer service system, which texted me when the technician was en route, completed work, and when I was invoiced. I paid online instantly with credit card. WOW.

Great customer service from the initial phone call to the end of the installation. They were able to schedule an appointment for a quote immediately. Jose arrived
timely with his mask on (safety first). He was courteous and professional. He gave me a quote and explained all that was included in the quote. I told him that I would be getting 2 other quotes before making my decision. No pressure. He was confident that he was giving me the best deal.
The other quotes were at least $500 more and the warranties weren't as good.
I hired them (Velavi Heating & Cooling). They did an excellent job! Great price, great service. Good team of folks to work with. Very responsive. Thank you!!!!!

Quick to respond to my yelp service request, and was able to setup a visit for the following day. Jordon showed up within the scheduled time, and was courteous, and professional. He wore a mask, kept his social distance, and let me know what he was doing the entire time. Quickly detected that my Freon was low, and was replacing it in no time. The air coming out is now cold.

Izzy did a fantastic job explaining everything to me about the ductless system. Francisco and Eduardo were the two technicians that installed the unit from start to finish. They did a great job installing the unit and cleaned up after themselves. They also did their best to not make much noise because I had a 6 month old that's a light sleeper. All in all, I am very happy with the install of my in-ceiling ductless unit and I'm able to support a local Norwalk business. Thanks again!
