**BEWARE**
I found Rooter Hero on line. My kitchen sick was backing up and needed to be cleaned out. Two very nice plumbers showed up the next morning. They snaked my pipe with no problem. Then I asked them to check the drain in the master bath because the elbow was leaking. (It turns out the washer was not properly installed) However, it turned into a $2,900.00 job. They said I needed to replace the sewage drain under the house. As they were completing the job, they told me their boss was going to stop by the house to check on their work. I was waiting for the boss in the front yard. He approached me and told me the job was going to cost $15,000.00. I said what job? He said the pipes in the yard and concert needed to be replaced along with the drain pipes under my house. I was in shock because I had no idea that was the reason he was coming to my home. He looked under the house and told me he could do the job for $9,000.00. I said no. Eventually the price was dropped to $5,700.00. I told them to finish the job they had started (the $2,900.00 rip off) and I wanted no further service from them. The two plumbers were very nice, I have not complaint about them. The BOSS on the other hand is a con artist. Always get a second or third quote before you have any plumbing done.

My experience is similar to other's who have used Rooter Hero. They were called out to clear a plugged up drain pipe. They said that they were unable to clear the line but they proceeded to check the whole system for clogs and leaks.
They recommended replacing all of the 60 year old plumbing lines for over $20,000. I said I would get a second opinion - then the price came down. He kept recommending less expensive alternatives each time I said I would get a second opinion.
His final offer was $1,400 to put an overflow valve in the front yard.
We called a local plumber who was able to clear the pipe and would put in the overflow line in the front yard for less than the $1,400. He said there was no way they could check the lines with a camera for leaks if the pipes were clogged and that I should ask for my money back.

We had a very good experience with the people that worked on our plumbing. They were very professional and friendly. They explained everything they were doing as they went along and did not do anything without our approval. I would definitely recommend them.

Rooter not my hero plumbing tried to rip us off and many others too (after reading other reviews). They unsuccessfully snaked a line to unclog our kitchen sink so the next day they put a camera in the line. They pointed out the camera showed a black area which meant there was a break in the line which would cost $4300 to repair. I had C&C Plumbing over and they successfully snaked the line for $50. The plumber said If he was to fix the break that Rooter said existed, he would've charged $1800. W&G

The man who came to clear my drain was prompt and nice. He did however feel the need to bring in the head honco the next day because things were not going as planned. They did get my drains going the next day, but the head honco told me my sewer line was collapsed at the sidewalk area and needed to be replaced or I would continue to have draining issues. This could be done for around $4500, which was a discounted price since they were doing other work in the neighborhood. After a second opinion it was found there was no collapse. What I really needed was a new and larger clean out so the proper drain snake could be used. Watch there guys! Get a second opinion on all large jobs. I used ""House Calls Plumbing"" and they were honest, polite, explained my problem and my options, and they saved me thousands of $$$.

I have to fix a plumbing problem and called (877) 816-3114 from the mailer of Rooter Hero Plumbing posting its lic. #973014 with a $69 coupon just like they did to lure his other victims. The man named Tavoris answered the phone demanding to record my conversation. What would a plumber do to intrude my privacy by recording conversation without my consent? That is illegal. When Tavoris was confronted with that question, he was explosive, loudly yelling, and harassing me. They have no respect to customers. It was a red flag. I agreed with the previous reviews; STAY AWAY from this plumber who is a scammer.

I, too, fell for a terrible trap that they sprung on me. My $69 unclog ending up costing $5,000 (seems to be their magic target number.) To this day, I feel that I was completely lied to. While watching them install a new line from the house to the city sewer line, there were a minimal amount of roots in the old pipe. The pressure that the supervisor put on me, I must confess, was overwhelming. I fell for it. This happened in January, 2013 and I have been too embarassed to fess up for having been scammed. Don't fall for this. Be smarter than I was.

I should have check the reviews here before calling these guys. They are no good. I spend close to 4k for repipe. I still have drain issue are a few months. Then I called them to take a look, they wouldn't answer my phone call and try to avoid me. What a bunch of liars. No one should do business with these guys. Seriously, call someone else!

I was sucked in by their $69 sticker ad in LB Press Telegram. I had a local clog close to the kitchen sink. My clean-out is just outside the kitchen window (a few feet away.) The rest of the house's plumbing had been free & clear.

A young, inexperienced, kid came out. He ran the snake out to the main & told me to turn-on the kitchen sink water. We saw a small trickle of water backing out the kitchen clean-out pipe. He said; ""that's not good, there should be no flow.""

What I didn't find out until 4.5 hours later ... that trickle was normal. My kitchen clean out pipe had a level slope by the kitchen window. The $69 job was actually done at that point.

It all went down hill from there. The $69 went to $150 as he went to the opposite side of the house, on top of the roof, and cleaned the house main line. Hugh? Isn't the other side of the house running clear? He said: ""that's the only way."" Some time later, he found it didn't work. Still a trickle. He said he had to go call the supervisors.

He disappeared for 25 minutes. I found him in his truck 3 houses down eating lunch. 15 to 20 minutes after that, 2 supervisors showed up. They explained the ""trickle was BAD"" and now had to use their special equipment (the hydro jet.) They gave me a story about how sludge works. They said a snake can go through it without clearning the clog. The cost now: $550!!! They said; ""That's the minimum $'s for using the hydro jet."" They got the kid going & took off.

An hour later, still a trickle (what a surprise.) The only real trickle now was my money leaving my wallet.

The supervisors came back with the camera. I watched the video screen as the snake went down a very clean pipe. Along the way, he shook his head & occasinally shouted to his partner pushing the camera to STOP. Ohh ... that's bad. Look at that!!! Those are roots. Ohh ... that's bad too, cracks in the pipes. Ohh, ohh, ohh. After the 4th or 5th Ohh I said; ""That's interesting, but, I don't see a single thing that causes water to back up."" No more ohh's after that. All he said to the kid was what a great job he did cleaning out the pipe.

As they were packing up, they casually said; ""Oh, the trickle is normal and the pipe is sloped that way."" They said the hydro jet must have cleared the clog. Hugh? The trickle never changed in the amount of flow! Before they left, after a painful 4.5 hours, they said they needed to come back & replace the pipes because of the cracks & roots. They said they'd discount my $550 & give me a great deal of only $5500. At that point, I could only laugh.

My final cost = $550. I gave them 1 star becase they did clean the drain with the initial $69 snaking.

BEWARE!!! THESE GUYS ARE EITHER REAL BAD PLUMBERS OR REAL SLICK OPERATORS.

I most definitely would NOT recommend this company! Called them for a backed up tub and toilet. The short of it-guy shows up and proceeds to ask me for a flashlight and tools (have times changed that you must supply tools to the repair guys?!) Told me the problem was fixed, took my check but did not show me repairs, what was done, or that the problem was indeed fixed. Upon his departure I return to the bathroom with the issue, not only did it look like he abruptly left in the middle of the job-with my back door wide open and his extension cord (yes he did have an extension cord) strewed through my house, the tub and toilet were still not functioning and backed up upon flushing or running the water!?! I could not believe it! On top of that, the following morning we discovered the cap to the main drain had come undone due to being stripped and sewer water was flowing out. From what I understand, this guy just opened the main drain outside to let the water out, broke the cap in doing so, collected his check and left without fixing/clearing a damn thing, leaving behind his extension cord and a bigger issue for me to deal with!
