Rooter-No-SHOW? Typical scammer's voice, obviously. Made me uneasy when I made the appointment but I did. I had an appointment for the next day, 2 to 4 she says, we agree. A few hours later I get a call and they ask for earlier, she asks, and I'm a little apprehensive since I already made plans and arranged schedules. I agree to change it to 8 am, she made me pick between 8 and 9 am, ""which time?"" She asked so I said 8 am. I kept thinking, the poor guy has to work on thanksgiving, so I'll cooperate and try to clear it as early as possible so he can go have dinner with his family. WHY? Why be considerate when these bozos don't give a crap about YOUR time?

The next day, I got up at 4 am to cook since I'd have to rearrange my menu's cooking time so I can finish my thanksgiving dinner by 4 pm. I move everything around, and carefully plan the whole thing.

At 8 am, nothing. Maybe he's a little late... 8:30 am, no sign. 9 am? Nothing. 10 am? Nowhere to be found, 10:30, I call. Some woman gets on the phone, she sounds as shady as every other person who works there. I tell her I had a no show, all she says is , ""hold on"" and I'm on hold for God knows how long (I hate being on hold unnecessarily, it's stupid. You don't know what's going on with your own technicians? Then you shouldn't be in business). She gets back on the phone and says, ""your house is next.""

Hahaha... Are you joking me? Like I haven't heard that from BAD customer service, before!! You aren't THAT important, and while unclogging the toilet is important, there are PLENTY of plumbers out there that realize that WASTING MY TIME is just as inconsiderate as if you showed up at my door and I didn't open it for 3 hours and said, ""hang on, I'll attend to you next... When I get done this one other item."" Next time, I'll bill you my $300/hr billable rate for each hour you waste... then again, there'll never be a next time!

I have used them twice and both times they showed up late, 4 hrs late the first time and didn't show up until the next day the second time. Once they show up they looked for excuses to increase the bill. With my construction back ground they couldn't give me a good reason. If I was a housewife I'm sure he would of gotten the increase. On the second call, the one they kept calling and rescheduling until the following day. They gave me a qoute for broken main pipe of over $12,000.00. I called another plumber who did it for $7200.00. I asked to speak with a supervisor 3 diffrent time and never got a return call! What was the most irritating was waiting on hold and listing to the recording telling me how good they are, How clients have said how great they are. Right!!!!!! I tried to complain to owner or suppervisor, never got a call back.

I had a broken valve in my shower. I scheduled an appt on Thursday 4-5 thirty minutes before my appt. my husband called to let me know that the plumber was not able to make it. I scheduled for the next day 4-5 not only did no one ever showed but when I called customer service to find out what happened no one ever picked up! In today's job market their are so many other companies out there and it's a shame that some companies lack customer service. I will not recommend this company to my colleagues or friends. If you can not make it to someone's home, I am wondering the level of service this company can provide .

Beware of this Rooter Hero Plumbing co. They are liars, scammers, rip off artists!
I had a broken water pipe in the wall. They told me It will cost $7,300 to have it fix. My Mercury insurance brought in another plummer and he said the work only cost $300.00 !
They are taking advantage of the bad situation and so dishonest in their service.

So beware of this company. Do not call them for any of your plumbing need. Please let other people know about this bad Company so they can not cheat others.

They told us we needed major work at a cost of over $7,800. Another plumber used ""a bigger snake"" and fixed the problem within an hour for $100.

Avoid Rooter Hero Plumbing at all cost.

This is the second time we have used this company in the last 6 months and they were great in every way. Responsive, courteous, honest, and hard working. After the first time, which was a big job, I was confident in calling Luis again when the drainage became sluggish. He made a point to come on the same day even though he was on another job when I called. He fixed the problem right away. These people are the real deal.

OK, first let me say that I'm not sure if this is the home office of the Rooter Hero that I called, but I'm in OC...I called these guys to come out and snake my main line, because kitchen drain was running a little slow, the guy shows up, and wants $169 to do it..way more than the last guy, but I say ok....he snakes the line and tries to sell me some hydro jet procedure. AND he wants $3000 for it! What?? OK, I personally replaced all the lines myself, so I know that they are not that old. Tries to tell me that I have a huge hole in my main....never sent a camera down, so how does he know? Full of roots, even though no trees on the side of the house..so he says. Then, i go to run kitchen sink/garbage disposal before he leaves, and everything under sink bursts! WHAT??!! Then he comes in and tears everything up under sink, tells me that it can't be snaked, and everything must be torn out and redone..now we are at $3950!! WHAT??!! Then changes quote at least 6 times, from $350 all the way to over 4 grand. I'm so confused! I refuse to pay that kind of money...tell him that I feel like he's taking advantage of single woman (what do we know?), and he leaves, leaving HUGE mess under sink, and doesn't even collect original payment for snaking main line...called my Pablito...why oh why did I not call him first??? He fixed mess that other guy created, for less than first guy wanted to snake main. And he snaked all the lines and water runs great through pipes! I will NEVER recommend these guys to anyone...what a scam

Before using Rooter Hero, we had another plumbing company come in and take a look at our shower pipe that was backing up. After basically handing them $400.00 to hydro jet the pipe, they put us in a panic that our pipe would burst within the week. It did not, of course (they estimated about $3000.00 to fix it and demanded that we gave them a decision before they left).

It started backing up again after about 2 months and Rooter Hero came in and snaked it clean and found the culprit...a lot of hair. I don't know why the other plumbing company did not pull the hair out, but Bryan from Rooter Hero was completely honest and told us that the pipe is fine and just to let them know when it starts backing up again. He also explained why the hydro jetting was not a suitable solution before.

Finally, Rooter Hero came to my house in Aliso Viejo and they were honest, efficient, and friendly. I am a stay at home mother of two and they came at the beginning of the estimated time block, which is crucial when dealing with schedules of two little ones!

I think the other reviews giving them 1 star may be their competitors as well....

**BEWARE**
I found Rooter Hero on line. My kitchen sick was backing up and needed to be cleaned out. Two very nice plumbers showed up the next morning. They snaked my pipe with no problem. Then I asked them to check the drain in the master bath because the elbow was leaking. (It turns out the washer was not properly installed) However, it turned into a $2,900.00 job. They said I needed to replace the sewage drain under the house. As they were completing the job, they told me their boss was going to stop by the house to check on their work. I was waiting for the boss in the front yard. He approached me and told me the job was going to cost $15,000.00. I said what job? He said the pipes in the yard and concert needed to be replaced along with the drain pipes under my house. I was in shock because I had no idea that was the reason he was coming to my home. He looked under the house and told me he could do the job for $9,000.00. I said no. Eventually the price was dropped to $5,700.00. I told them to finish the job they had started (the $2,900.00 rip off) and I wanted no further service from them. The two plumbers were very nice, I have not complaint about them. The BOSS on the other hand is a con artist. Always get a second or third quote before you have any plumbing done.

My experience is similar to other's who have used Rooter Hero. They were called out to clear a plugged up drain pipe. They said that they were unable to clear the line but they proceeded to check the whole system for clogs and leaks.
They recommended replacing all of the 60 year old plumbing lines for over $20,000. I said I would get a second opinion - then the price came down. He kept recommending less expensive alternatives each time I said I would get a second opinion.
His final offer was $1,400 to put an overflow valve in the front yard.
We called a local plumber who was able to clear the pipe and would put in the overflow line in the front yard for less than the $1,400. He said there was no way they could check the lines with a camera for leaks if the pipes were clogged and that I should ask for my money back.
