i have been dealing with rooter hero for a long time;and have always been happy with their work.this week i had rather a bigger project; and i called and made an appointment; they send me a crew of two by the name of mark flores and daniel de la rosa. the appointment was at ten o;clock A.M. so when i got to the job site; to my surprise ;they were waiting ;and boy did they do a job. they were polite ;professional and courteous and most important they knew exactly what they were doing ;that;s refreshing; because these days a lot of people call themself plumbers but really do no know much.. i recommend rooter hero to everyone but specially mark and daniel . they are a great asset to their company.

My tenants had a toilet clog and called Rooter Hero Plumbing. They charged $2,000 for a ""Hydro Jet"" drain cleaner (way overpriced), and followed up with a $22,000 bid to address underlying plumbing issues. I got a second estimate which was for half this amount to address the issues more comprehensively. Their estimate had huge charges and then ""discounts"" identified as ""manager discount"" to make their inflated estimate seem like a deal. Ended up going with Honest Sewer and Drain for more comprehensive work at half the price.

Quoted cost 7 times more than 2 other bidders, stated issues that are non existent, horrendous price for diagnostic testing. Taking advantage of folk's that know nothing about plumbing!

Answered my call on a weekend, was glad they could schedule an appointment during a late Saturday afternoon and address the overflow problem the next day. They told me I had a root invasion problem for which they quoted me $6,400. I told them I needed a second opinion and when I got that through an honest reputable company they showed me through the camera there is no major root problem that would cause that issue and that I just needed a new toilet which I got and everything works fine. I never got a receipt or report from rooter.

Had to have a 20+ year old valve removed and replaced to accommodate my new refrigerator. The new refrigerators require a higher water pressure. Kyle came diagnosed and estimated cost all within 15 minutes. Estimate was completely reasonable, and work was completed all the same day. Only reason I gave them four stars was because their automated ETA service had a different name for the plumber, but Kyle came with all his credentials and was completely transparent with us. Would refer this company to anyone.

I wish I could give no stars. This last tuesday started out horrible as we had to put our 13 year old dog down. then later that day water was backing up into our bath and toilets wouldn't flush. rooter hero was the company that could get here the quickest and wish I would have looked at more reviews before we had them come out. they charged $400 to locate the clean out since it was buried under rocks somewhere and there was a clog in that area. they removed the clog but then said we had an ABS pipe that was so rotted away that we shouldn't use anything but a little bit of water. he said to replace the bad section of pipe and put a new clean out in would be $8000. but scared us with the upsell that we really needed an epoxy lining put in for everything and that would be $17,000. my wifes spidy sense came up and we talked to some additional people about this. we called sac sewer district which I wish I would have known about them before hand. They can't work on anything directly on your property but can run a camera from the street to make sure everything is good on that end. there was no clog anymore since they could look in the clean out and verified by looking at the video that rooter hero sent us. and apprently our pipe is not ABS but cast iron due to the rusting they could see in the video. the only thing that needs to be done is have it cleaned which will cost about $300. not $17,000. the guy who came knew we were having an awful day with all the distress of losing our family member and still tried to F*** us over. stay away from these terrible people at all costs and if you don't have a plumber you trust, call sac sewer district first. they are available 24/7 and don't charge anything to diagnose and will give you an honest unbiased opinion about what should be done to fix your sewer problem.

Terrible service. They tried to sell me on a 33k sewer lining job saying the pipes are old when the issue was just the toilet. Had 2 other companies agree my sewer line is newer and in good condition with no need for a lining. They issue was the toilet and was a $250 fix. Do not use them for they will try to sell you on lies and pressure you to sign that day.
