Do not hire! First....they called to reschedule our appointment TWICE in the same day. Then, before arriving, said that the price for snaking out a drain would be going up from the original price of $59 to $235! Total scam artists.

For those who don't want detailed reading: SCAM ALERT!!!
I contacted this business based on their advertised $59 drain cleaning service. What I needed done was extremely simple and basic. I wanted to verify the price before having them come out. The person answering calls asked if this was a house / apartment / condo, and then used that information to say the job would be ""about $288"". The claim he made is that plumbing in an apartment is different than in a single family home, which is categorically false in the context of a simple issue localized to one plumbing fixture. Also it says nothing of this differentiation or exclusion on their website, where I did actually read all the offer details before calling and then again before writing this review. In short, it's evident that this company is using the low price of $59 to generate lots of interest, but doing everything they can to find reasons to say that your particular job will not fit into their hidden set of criteria. It's a typical bait and switch, where the ad is below market and the actual price charged is way above market. I would not ever trust a company like this, no matter what the other reviews might say.

Greg and his team were awesome. Sucked that they found the main issue that was very expensive to fix, but thank god they did and worked with me on price. They replaced our entire cast iron system in 1 day and had us back up and running. Greg walked me through the entire issue and process with options and gave me some tips on how to avoid certain issues. Harry was also great working with me on the scope and costs. Would definitely ref commend these guys!

I had a bathtub with a clogged drain (my daughters hair) that I was unable to clear out with baking soda, vinegar, hot water etc. So I pulled out my home auger (snake) to no avail. I called rooter guard and true their word they came to the house in no time. They were unable to unclog the drain but managed to dislodge my overflow drain that I had previously disassembled... The technician OA offered to repair and unplug the drain for $3550.00. I called another pumber and had it done for $250. He reattached the overflow drain and rootered out the clog!

Few things to know the workers on site work off commission. Which explains a lot of what happened with my experience.
We went ahead and tried to get our main line cleaned as it was clogged and they use very cheap snakes that don't really get through the debris. They went ahead and told us our sewer line may be broke or got misaligned from the city pipes hence they couldn't unclog. Tried to tell us we might have to pay 7-10k to fix the issue.
We turned them away and had a family friend plumber come in and he went ahead and unclogged the main line in about 10-20 minutes. Told us we had roots growing in and gave us a recommendation to buy root killers from Amazon. If they are your last minute call they aren't terrible but beware of their tactics as they will try to take advantage of anyone who may not know much about plumbing.

Johnny D did an excellent job helping us through an emergency situation. He was prompt with his communication and worked very hard to make sure my family had the least disruption possible despite it being a huge job of replacing all our indoor plumbing and our main sewer line. We had an excellent experience with every Rooter Guard professional who worked on this job for us, and would highly recommend them to everyone. Thanks Johnny!

I had a main line sewer clog. I called Rooter Guard they had a deal for $59 to clear a clog of main sewer line.
They came out and the tech put minimal effort into sending a snake down the clean out. He said he needs to call his manager to bring a camera and it will cost $250. I was kinda stuck given it is a main sewer line clog so we can't run any water down any drain in the house.
The manager comes out and sends a camera down the clean out and says it is a major blockage or breakage of the pipe. He proceeds to show me a video of using a boreing tool to drill out a blockage and then relining the pipe with a pipe lines. He tells me it will cost $6000.
I sent them in their way as I was skeptical of the whole thing. I called LA Hydrojet the next day, someone came out and unclogged the pipe in 5 mins with a snake. End of story.

Our kitchen sink was clogged. We called a different company ( I won't name ) and the guy was here for 2 hours and wanted to cut the main pipe. Thank God we called Rooter Guard. Erik came out and within 10 minutes found 2 ink pens ( thanks to my son's cat ) and had the clog cleared. ON CHRISTMAS EVE!! Now I can cook our meal. This company is awesome!!! Will use them every time I have an issue!

Called the company due to a drain back up and asked for a camera. The plumber came and the issue seemed to have resolved itself. I asked to have them camera the line. $250. Then the ""supervisor"" came with the camera. The camera showed the line still had a clog. He said the cast iron pipe had a leak. I looked with a flashlight and the water wasn't coming from the pipe. It was a toilet seal issue. He then quoted $1200 for a hydro jet which should cost $500-$600. He also quoted $2,800 to put in a clean out to make snaking easier. Supervisor = con man. I said thank you. I called LA Hydrojet and they are coming for $600. Beware if you don't know what plumbing should costs. By the way - this company advertises a hydro jet for $159 on their website.

Had a sewer main clogged today. I know that some plant roots penetrate my sewer line around where the clay pipes start. Unfortunately, my regular plumber wasn't available to come and unclog it at that time. Trying to avoid big discomfort to my tenants, I got on Google and searched sewer problems. The first ad that popped up, was for Rooter Guard. Wanting to solve the problem ASAP, I called them. Explained them the problem and ask for plumber to be dispatched promptly. Office people sounded professional enough. Few minutes later I had a call stating that the technician will arrive in 60 to 90 minutes. To make a long story short, the ""technician"" arrived. I explained him the problem and he started the process, after telling me the standard fee for apartment buildings is $289. I agreed to pay. So I watched him run his rooter machine. Judging by the way he worked, he wasn't a professional. After half an hour of running the machine mostly the snake movement engaging lever in neutral position, he told me the clog can't be opened, and tried to convince me my sewer line is collapsed. At that point, I had no more use for him and since he couldn't open the line I asked him if he expected a payment from me. To which he answered no.
I called another plumber while he was collecting his equipment. The new plumber arrived within 40 minutes and unclogged the line in 5.
I would not recommend this company for any job bigger than unclogging a kitchen sink drain...
