As a consumer, when you read this review you must ask yourself what would prompt someone to write it. As there is no benefit to me doing so. There is only being a good citizen of the world to warm others so that they do not get taken advantage of by this company.

Even if the leak was true, which it was not; why is this company's quote for hydrojet service $3500, when two other companies quoted me $450. Why did this company provide me with a quote to fix a leak that did not exist for a price of $1500, when the plumber that did the work replaced the wax ring on the pipe for $150. Could it be that my 75 yo mom was housesitting for me and they thought they could take advantage of an elderly lady or could it be that they are just unethical con men. The quote speak for themselves and the fake leak video seems to be a practice that is known by other plumbers about this company. So BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I want to thank rooter guard and the whole crew for making my drains for my business functionable. I had my floor drains backed up with sewage and black muddy water i was panicing. So i called several plumbing companies and eveyone wanted to break my business flooring and replacing all damaged pipes for the 50s and wanting to charge me outrages amounts. So i came across rooter guard and boy i was so happy i did. Kevin arrived and tried snaking but unfortunely was unable to so had to call his manager Harry arrived and explained on what needed to be very profesianlly. Long story short they eneded up descaling my old cast iron metal lines with a special equipment and coating it very fasinated and they saved my business being closed like other plumbers metinoed week or two this job was done in two days. Thank you Kevin and Harry and rooter guard team for helping and saving my floors and time!!

BEWARE!!!! Rooter Guard was called by my rental tenant to come unclog a toilet pipe with a snake. They came, put the wrong equipment in the pipe, broke the equipment, proceeded to break concrete to dig out the stuck equipment in the pipe outside of the house (all without my permission), put a hole in the pipe to take their mistake out. I then had to give them permission to do much more work at 2100. I agreed not really understanding what was going on. They then called me 2 hours later, and told me that my plumbing problems were so bad that I must pay 9100 to do the job properly. I was alarmed at the progression of what seemed like an easy fix so I called my licensed contractor whom I have worked with for years. He went to the property and immediately called me and told me how much these guys had not only screwed up the job I hired them for, but that the work they told me I ""must do"" for 9100 was not even necessary. Basically, these guys saw a women (me) and decided to not only totally destroy parts of my property but they tried to scare me into paying them 9100 for unnecessary repairs. My contractor came in, fixed the mess they made AND fix the original issue for 1500. I of course told the company this and they refused to acknowledge any wrong doing, even though they did not even finish the original 2100 hundred job (left the concrete broken and exposed and did not unplug the pipes). Well, after I told them it cost me 1500 to fix the mess they made, they decided to SUE ME! Unbelievable. Obviously I am counter suing and will hopefully be vindicated in court but the fact they sued me on a job they not only completely messed up but also did not finish is crazy. Please be warned to never hire this company. Contact me directly (via reply) if you don't believe me and I can send you dozens of pictures that my contractor took of the damage this company inflicted on my property.

I was very happy with the overall communication, (manager Michael was great to deal with), quick service (they came on a Saturday within two hours of me calling!), Vick was very clear on explaining the issues I had and dealt with cleaning out my frustrating drains efficiently! I would definitely recommend these guys! Thanks Vick and Rooter Guard.

Very professional and quick response. Called them for a clogged kitchen drain they quickly advised by phone and told me they provide in home estimates free of charge.

The tech came, diagnosed the problem right away and since it was so simple he told us how we could fix it (or that he could fix it for 175 dollars) but it was so quick and simple we were very thankful for his honesty. Everyone from the woman who called to confirm the appointment to the actual technician was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Would use them again if we have an issue in the future.

The pipes at our apartment were clogged turned out to be roots. Found Rooter Gaurd on yelp & they sent Fabian. He was on time and took care of the problem with no issues, I would definitely recommend Rooter Gaurd for all your plumbing needs! Thanks again

I was having issues with my mainline, unfortunately I came to find out there were roots... They recommended that I use a hydro jetter machine, it definitely cleared up mainline pipe! Highly recommend them and I'll definitely be using them again!

What was a potentially house threatening problem (73 year old pipes crumbled within the foundation of the house, dropping the newer sewer pipe and letting it drain under our house and back up into our tub) is now fixed over a holiday weekend, passed inspection with flying colors and we had water service in between work. Vic has been great about explaining each step and letting us know the rationale for every piece of the project, he's also very compassionate about the financial and emotional impact of major plumbing issues. I am confident that this company is responsive to the needs of their clients and takes their responsibility seriously as tradesmen and businessmen. I know we were not a side job, we were definitely a priority and that these guys know their stuff. Rooter Guard provided us with top-notch materials and top-notch service.

Edit; Though I can't excuse what the technician did or didn't do.
I can commend the management for reaching out to me and apologizing and not ignoring the problem. I recommend trying them and don't be afraid to get a 2nd or 3rd opinion. I will try them again and I'll update the review a 3rd time.


Complete Rip Off!!! I'm surprised to see that there are some positive reviews. This past Friday I called and needed a simple toilet to be snaked at my moms rental home. I didn't want to drive an hour to do this myself, so I looked on the internet and saw their $59 special. When the tech arrived and called me, he quoted me $550!!!! He said, for snaking the toilet, that I needed a new toilet mechanism and that there was a leak on the floor. There was never a leak before they got there. I told them to leave. Needless to say I drove an hour on Friday evening with my $15 hardware store bought toilet snake and fixed the clog in 10 minutes! There was nothing wrong with the toilet parts ( mechanism). Also the waterline hose was mysteriously loosened a half turn so that it caused a slow leak. Trust me this is a nice house in Agoura hills with tiled flooring, we would have noticed any leak. Tech was named louis, but it was there manager that called me.
Total RIPOFF artists.
