Erroll S.My Two Heroes:
How do you say thank you when a thank you is woefully inadequate ...?
How do you express gratitude when doing so expresses barely enough ...?
How do you describe a life suddenly so utterly stupendously improved ...?
And how in the world do you let the entire world know of kindness so unexpected, so generous, so compassionate, even a full symphonic orchestra with 100 person choir raising voice in rapturous praise wouldn't begin to do the job ...?
---
One day you're fit and healthy and the next day you learn you're not - in fact, you learn you're very ill.
Only the day before you had lots of plans, like, say, that long wanted bathroom improvement.
You'd done research and knew it'd be an expensive undertaking but you had a plumbing contractor who'd done work in your home in the past and you felt confident you'd get a fair price and a first-rate professional job.
But, oops, the electrical contractor higher than expected estimate and the building permit costs put the project out of budget. Like I said, an expensive undertaking ...
Then your go-to plumbing guy voluntarily re-estimated using a modest product downgrade and voila!, the project was again GO!
Then came that daunting pathology report, attendant treatment costs, time away from work, all of which mandated STOP!
So you called off the plumbing contractor, the electrical contractor, withdrew the building permits, and figured that was that ...
Then one morning your phone rings: ""Hi, it's Roman. How're you feeling? My wife and I've discussed it and we're going ahead with your project and there's no charge. Expect the electrical contractor first thing Friday morning then we'll follow right after with the plumbing installation. We're taking care of it all. Okay?""
Whoa, I replied, I need to think about this ...
""There's nothing to think about - it's a done deal. See you Friday.""
Three weeks ago my long wanted bathroom improvement project was done - expertly done. It's wonderful. It's perfect.

His name is Roman Scanagatta. Her name is Eleni Scanagatta.
Their local family owned Petaluma business is Roman's Plumbing, Inc.
Both are my heroes ...
p.s.
A nod to the product supplier who cut prices ...
A nod to Elevated Electric who worked for less ...
I'm deeply grateful to both.

They're my heroes ...
I haven't called in a couple of years because the last time I called they sent someone who was not at all up to the job. He was essentially just there to say he couldn't do anything and he didn't want to crawl the crawlspace to check for a leak and they tend to be really expensive. I have stopped calling them.
William H.Quick response and great work. Roman addressed all my concerns and Jason was personable and did a perfect job. I always call Romans for plumbing needs.
Adriana B.Once again.... awesome experience from beginning to end. The quality of service, professionalism, knowledge, flexibility, kindness and quality of work.... I wish they did more than plumbing. I feel so fortunate to count on them for all my plumbing needs. So, from me to them, Thank you!
Garrett N.These are the people if you're looking for a great plumber. I shopped around a bit for a plumber to fix a broken water pipe under my driveway. They had a fair price and great service. Scheduled fast, showed up on time, told me how I could save a few bucks doing things myself, got the work done quickly, and even came back afterwards to check on everything after some freezing weather without me asking. I can't recommend these people enough. This will be the only plumber I use.
Gerard C.Writing another 5 star review of Roman's Plumbing feels like an unnecessary exercise given all the fantastic other reviews, but they once again earned it. This time, for a job they ended up not doing, graciously responding to an emergency on our end and scoping the problem in an atmospheric river in an already packed week. As usual, they only capable of top quality work and planning, and I appreciate them so much. Again, it's a drop in the bucket of feedback for this wonderful family and company, but good work deserves good feedback, even if it is repetitive. Thank you Roman, Eleni, everyone.
We recently had to replace a sewer line under our house, due to leaks. Both Jason and Roman were great to work with. The bid was very competitive, and they took their time. I especially liked that they were careful to clean up everything and they wore shoe covers on our inside floor.
Sometimes it's hard to find examples that combine good customer service with good business ethics. I can cite two for Roman's Plumbing.
First, we were having trouble getting hot water to the bath furthest away from the water heater and were thinking of a tankless heater. We called Roman's out to estimate the job, and he recommended a solution (I don't understand the particulars but it was a valve of some type) that brought the hot water out faster at a much lower cost than a tankless heater.
Second, we had a hot water heater go out over the holidays, which is an incredibly busy and shorthanded time for any company including Roman's. But they got out to us a day after we came back from an out-of-town trip, making time in their schedule. The heater regulator was broken and out of warranty and we assumed we would have to replace it (and we would use Roman's to do the work to replace). But Roman's did some additional research later and found out that although the heater was out of warranty, it had a still active recall to it. They referred us to a different plumber who was authorized to do repair work under the warranty, and saved us a bundle as a result. It was an extraordinary act of customer service for which we are grateful.
You can't go wrong with Roman's Plumbing.
Outstanding work performed efficiently by Jason. He made sure to wear mask and booties in the house, snaked the drain fast, cleaned after himself leaving the area spotless.
