Would not allow me to give 0 Stars! Problem was not fixed correctly the first time, problem returned within 24 hours of them leaving and then when the company was called and informed of this, they asked if it was something that we were able to fix ourselves - if not then they could send out someone to fix it - BUT CHARGE us again for the time spent fixing what wasn't fixed correctly the first time! Yet, the amount that we were charged was very disturbing and high for the work that was incorrectly performed as they charge for transportation and hourly. Horrible customer service!

I used them last year for a problem my tenant had in his unit. They did show up but the issue was not resolved and the charges were ridiculous. I really wanted to try to support local businesses in my area but this is an example of why it's hard to. Then I was overcharged which I caught and confront them about. It was really an awkward experience overall. Never again - but Rob was extremely hard to understand which may be a tactic of his. I ended up hiring another plumber for half the price and ended up solving the issue wonderfully without the extra hassle. I even referred him to others where I would not recommend this company. Just my experience

Rob West and his team HAVE ALWAYS DONE RIGHT BY ME.

I literally just got off a 2 hour phone call with Rob himself where he took the time out of his day to help me understand the intricacies of our building's plumbing and to brainstorm ways that I can do a TON of the easy footwork myself. And he charged nothing for these two hours! This is why he is ALWAYS my go-to-guy.

Now I can do the easy investigating and don't have to drain our HOA Reserves on easy labor hours that we can do ourselves.

Yes, he literally gave up easy labor hours for the sake of our HOA Reserves. What a guy.

Just a heads up though. Rob can talk your ear off and I mean that in the absolute highest of compliments because information is king and he knows what he's talking about.

He also absolutely CRUSHED all the quotes/bids we conducted with other plumbing companies and his work was top notch. Oh, and he was available much easier and much sooner than the rest.

Not to be cheesy, but when I need to protect my HOA Reserves, Rob is my guy.

Thank you Rob and team! You will absolutely be hearing back from me.

(Yes, I also posted this identical review on Google as well. It is the absolute least I could do for that unbelievably helpful phone call. Hope this helps anyone looking for a solid team!)

Rob West Plumbing had done work with us before so I wanted to give them a call. We needed two tall toilets installed. They did a great job as usually. My father-in-law was a 50 year plumber and he said they did a really nice job. Good work and good cleanup. When I find out how much the job cost I checked with other companies and he was right there price wise.

Very overpriced. They received $100 before they came to my house. Did NOT even look at or observe ceiling leak. Had to look at laundry room of unit above. Touched around wall and floor, some moisture and water noticed. Said above unit owners should contact air-conditioning professional and have water heater and air conditioning unit checked out. BUT probably had no relation to my problem. They NEVER even looked in my ceiling, Said they did not know what problem was. and Then charged my card $389. NO EXPLAINATION Three phone calls to have owner, Rob, scream at me on phone!!! Terrible service!! terrible treatment!
AND the workers sent out, SMELLED badly of body odor. Disgusting!!!
Owner kept screaming at me that they did a perfect job, except they did NO job!!! Except ""stink up"" neighbors unit and my unit also.

Rob West (robwestpluming.com) was recommended by my architect to redo all my pluming on my 4 unit building in 2020. Contract was signed in December 2019. Rob took an entire year to do the plumbing. He failed to show numerous days. There were so many multiple no shows that I lost count. The initial work came in cheaper than others, but he nickel and dimes his way here and there and at the end he was more expensive that the other contractors. During the final inspection with the city, I asked his worker (Alex) if all units had their own water valve, he replied yes. Then the city approved his inspection. Later on I noticed that there was only one valve and not the four (one for each unit) was installed. I asked Rob West why I was lied to, and his response was we didn't lie to you we just made a mistake. The prop Len was not corrected and left as is. Once the work was completed, later on I noticed a loud and constant drip coming from one of the pipes he installed. I contacted him and left a voicemail and texts to him and his workers. His response time was exactly one month later, and told me that by him talking to me he was wasting his time and advised me to buy a sound machine to avoid hearing the dripping and hung up the phone on me. That was my last time talking to him. I felt like he took advantage of me as I'm a senior. I do not recommend him nor his company. Buy beware and stay away.

ideal plumber for a masochist! rob was disrespectful, unprofessional, and bizarrely manipulative/gaslighty when (politely!) confronted with his errors. looking back on his past 1-star reviews, i now see that his sketchy billing practices and weird mile-a-minute wildly interruptive dialogue approach is nothing new. wish i'd read those before he overcharged for a simple repair and then felt the need to berate me on the phone! alex is chill, but rob needs to confront his gross dudebro entitlement asap.

Rob West and I spoke prior to the drain cleaning. He is not a big operation (3 employees). He described himself as someone who was flexible and didn't want clients to feel 'taken advantage' of. That's important to me so I decided to hire him.

His plumbers (Alex and Son) came out, snaked the drain, ran water for 20 minutes and left. I was happy. They DID NOT camera the line or ask to camera the line to ensure that the drain was fully cleared and three weeks and $600 later, I was back to square one.

When I called Rob to discuss that his work had not resolved the problem, he was very defensive, rude and unprofessional in addressing my frustration as a customer. He insinuated that I was not telling him the truth when I told him that I was not asked to camera the drain. He interrupted me throughout or conversation and described my concerns as 'crazy'. It's clear by the amount of talking and minimal listening Rob does on the phone, he feels he can talk his way out of problems. As a client, I look for companies who stand by their work when unfortunate issues arise and when a customer is unsatisfied by striving to resolve in a mutually beneficial and fair way. Rob took the position that ""when he leaves a job, it's no longer his problem."" I would agree with that position if it had been 3 years later or even 3 months later but when the problem arises again 3 weeks after you leave, I would hope to see a more ethical response and intention to resolve. I was willing to pay a fair rate for the camera work required but we were so far off on what we thought was fair. Quickly, it was clear that he was going to nickel and dime me for the rest of our engagement. After an hour of him bantering, I decided it was best we part ways as he was clearly not looking to turn an unsatisfied customer into a raving fan. I would not recommend Rob West Plumbing to anyone.

Alex and his son (the actual plumbers who came to my house that day) are fantastic, kind and reasonable as far as I could tell. They walked me thru the issue and were very helpful to all my questions.

I looked to hire a professional who would fix my problem. Rob West Plumbing did not and cost me $600. Find somebody else.

Still totally recommending Rob West Plumbing. We purchased a 2-flat in 2018 and he's fixed MULTIPLE issues (leaky bathtub, leaky toilets, slow kitchen drain, and--the big one--frozen pipes during the January 2019 polar vortex.) His guys are usually prompt, always friendly and professional, and we've had no issues with their repairs at all.

They're maybe a little pricey, yeah--but what isn't?? It's worth the money.
