As everyone else has stated Jim's Pasadena Plumbing has been sold. When you call them, another company will come out. I found this out today, when I needed two toilet's rebuilt. The company that came out was going to charge me $1150 for this job!!!! Unbelieveable!!!!! I told him goodbye!!
Found out the complete kits are only $65 each for the toilet. Found out that this job should take about an hour to an hour and a half tops!!
I will really miss this company. They really did awesome plumbing work done at a fair price

Called them out based on good reviews and local recommendations on Nextdoor. A subcontractor showed up with a different company name on his van and with paperwork from a third company. Turns out that Jim's use subcontractors and the paperwork is from another company that has just acquired them. Not a big deal if the job is done right and at a good price but it would have been nice to know in advance....
Unfortunately the experience was a real let-down. After saying the problem was a leaky water filter faucet and a main cold water faucet with a tiny drip, the contractor disappeared into the van ""to fill out paperwork"" but spent the entire time on the phone, returning 10 minutes later with a written estimate that ran to $775 ""labor and materials""
What the guy didn't spot was the completely broken air gap hose connection for the dishwasher, which was pouring water out every time the washer drained, and the cause of the leak. Retail prices for a replacement air gap are $6 for a Chinese made item or $9 if you buy the American made one. The hose required to connect it is $1.49. So that took care of the major leak and took 20 minutes to fix, and then we're left with tiny drips to deal with: the filter faucet is $15 max, and the washer for the main faucet a few cents.
So, Jim's, tell me how parts that total a little over $25 need labor of $750 to fit? I'd love to know, because I think I'm in the wrong line of work....

I will never call anyone else other than Jim's PP if I have a plumbing problem. He has a top quality staff and charges a fair price. I had a sewer line stoppage and Mary, the office manager, had a plumber to my house within 2 hours after I called. She sent Koko and an assistant (I think his name was Jim). Anyway, they were both courteous, polite, and professional. When I got the bill, I was pleasantly surprised that they charged me only $94. I highly recommend Jim's PP. His company well deserves a 5 star rating.

OK, you want to the point plumbing issue, call these guys! The secretary was wonderful and understanding. These 2 plumbers show up and it was: This is the problem, and less than an hour its fixed. This one is a KEEPER! Very professional, friendly.

We have always had great service from Jim's Plumbing! Recently, our hot water heater went out. Jim's helped us every which way to deal with GE in order to get a part to fix it. They even came out while we were out of town to put in the part that came in the mail--the hot water heater is outside luckily! We always know we can rely on them to come out quickly to help us. Everyone is very professional and friendly in person and on the phone!

I've used Jim's Pasadena Plumbing for years now. I found them by trial and error, the error being the three other plumbers who overcharged for everything they did. If I have a complicated job, Jim will even come out and try to figure out a solution.
This week, I received a frantic call from my Mother in Law's house sitter that a faucet (probably valve) had broken in the tub and the water was running and she couldn't get it to stop. Mind you it was 4:55 pm. She needed the number for Jim's plumbing and I told her to hurry because of the time of day. When I called her back to see if all was okay, she told me that Jim's had come out, and stopped the water and were to return the next morning to replace the faucets.
I LOVE these guys because they are so dependable!

I used them for extending gas line for a BBQ island. They were very professional, did not leave any mess, their workmanship was very clean and price was reasonable. They came when they said they were. I would recommend them to my friends and would use them again.

**I want to add to the review I gave below. Again, we called Jim's because of a leaky toilet. The lady who answered the phone said it sounded like we might need a new toilet. When the plumber came he spent a couple of hours fixing our toilet when he could have just said we needed a new toilet. The charge was very, very reasonable. It is so rare to find honesty these days! Excellent, excellent customer service!
We called this morning (the day after Thanksgiving) expecting an appointment on Saturday or next week. Unbelievably, Jim's sent a fantastic plumber here to Sierra Madre to fix our completely jammed garbage disposal and multiple leaks under our sink. He kept me informed throughout about the terrible job the previous contractor did with reversed gaskets and all sorts of ineptness and how he would fix everything. He worked quickly, found extra parts after working hours, and came back to finish the job. Jim's is absolutely the best. We will never use anyone else again.

Have had just about every plumber on this list out and they have done various lousy jobs, but at the recommendation of a neighbor,I called Jim's plumbing to come out and fix a couple things. He saved a fancy brass hose bib that I was sure would need replacing and fixed my leaking kitchen faucet. Even better, they send a bill rather then demanding money up front. They've got my business. My guy was Edwin. He was terrific

Our Home Owner's Association as well as individual condo owners use Jim's nearly exclusively. Of all the maintenance and construction contractors we use, Jim's plumbing is by far the best. They are outstanding in the quality, timeliness, sense of urgency, thoroughness, cost and every measure that can be associated with service. He has our unequivocal endorsement.
